M.Dancer Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Still baloney... They removed the Cristmas tree from the courthouse due to left wing crying. The tree has since been moved to an administrative corridor off to the side. The tree was moved, not removed. Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us
Oleg Bach Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Still baloney...The tree was moved, not removed. I could never figure out why a couple of years ago in the states they removed the granite blocks in a court house containing the ten commandments. They went on and on about seperating church and state...actually the commands are not religious - they are ancient LAWS - so you have some confused fools who through their actions actually seperated Law from state...a disaster - To seperate Christmas from law is also quite evil..Law must act in good faith and good faith is not a popular thing in the court system these days...quote..."It may be immoral but it's legal" - I will never forget that utterance from a lawyer. It's mean spirited - Muslims loved the Christmas tree - Jews liked it - atheist adored it - only the Judge hated it. Quote
ToadBrother Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I could never figure out why a couple of years ago in the states they removed the granite blocks in a court house containing the ten commandments. They went on and on about seperating church and state...actually the commands are not religious - Have you ever read the Commandments? This is from Exodus 20: 2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; 3 Do not have any other gods before me. 4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, 6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. 8 Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. 9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work. 10 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it. 12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 13 You shall not murder. 14 You shall not commit adultery. 15 You shall not steal. 16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. that is in the water under the earth. Or, as it's often codified in most Christian traditions: #1 You shall have no other gods before me #2 You shall not make for yourself an idol #3 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God #4 Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy #5 Honor your father and mother #6 You shall not murder #7 You shall not commit adultery #8 You shall not steal #9 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor #10 You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor Four of the Ten Commandments are clearly religious. they are ancient LAWS - so you have some confused fools who through their actions actually seperated Law from state...a disaster - That sentence doesn't even make sense. To seperate Christmas from law is also quite evil.. Huh? The bloody Puritans wanted to ban it completely, viewing it as a pagan and Papist celebration. In fact, Christmas really didn't come back into vogue in England until Victorian times. Law must act in good faith and good faith is not a popular thing in the court system these days...quote..."It may be immoral but it's legal" And for good reason. A lot of very bad things have been promulgated under the notion of morality. - I will never forget that utterance from a lawyer. It's mean spirited - Muslims loved the Christmas tree - Jews liked it - atheist adored it - only the Judge hated it. And you know this all how? Quote
Mr.Canada Posted December 15, 2009 Author Report Posted December 15, 2009 Christians are being killed, Churches are being razed, Christian human rights are being trampled upon and does the world even care? Not at all. No action will take place. Now if it was some other religion it would be front page news and there would no doubt be ah huge out pouring of support. Since it's only Christian s being killed, since it's only Christian Churches being burnt down it's ok and not news worthy at all. Burning Churches is completely acceptable but don't you dare touch that Temple or Mosque then Interpol would called in to help solve the crime.
