maplesyrup Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Poll suggests uneasy Liberal majority Canada's Liberals appear to be creeping toward political recovery in Quebec as Prime Minister Paul Martin hit the unofficial campaign trail yesterday against the backdrop of a new poll showing the makings of a more comfortable majority. It really is a shame the NDP do not have their act together in Quebec. At some point the NDP is going to realize that they will have a lot of difficulty forming a national government if they do not set up a social democratic party in Quebec. I'm not sure exactly why they continue to go this route, perhaps it is out of fear of splitting the social democratic vote with the PQ. Alliance Fanatic Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 I laughed when I saw the NDP go down a peg or two. I think that this evidently shows that the NDP is'nt in tune with the times. This also shows that a bunch of left wing special interest groups will never win power. Quote "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others" - George Orwell's Animal Farm
maplesyrup Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Cons 26% Libs 38% NDP 16% Am I the only one who finds it odd that that breakdown of the data was not included at the Ipsos-Reid website this time? I do find it odd that it does not have the standard set of tables and such. Its format is far different than normal. Quote
August1991 Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Here is the Ipsos-Reid web site: Ipsos Reid Poll 7 May Release Date Somebody (CTV/G&M) paid for the poll. (What are we talking? A couple of thousand a question?) Would you pay 1000$ for an insider stock tip and then post the info on the web? Would you allow the tipster to post the info on the web? Wait a few days and Ipsos-Reid will post the details. That's their PR. Quote

I don't think so I have a lot of friends and family there ! They would vote for NDP when hell freezes over. Quote

willy Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 In British Columbia, the Conservatives lead with 34% of the decided vote (up 9 points), the NDP and Liberals are in a dead heat with 1 in 5 decided voters. The Green Party trails with almost 1 in 10 decided voters. This poll like the many before have to small a sample for a regional breakdown but Maplesyrup I thought you might like to know the Conservatives are on the move up again in BC. Quote
