Smallc Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Yes, the link proved what we already know. The system needs work even yet, and so we can't rest. We have to do more. Meanwhile, America can continue to trip over itself and compare itself to it's neighbour to the north in the hope of finding some type of solution. We've already found ours, and we just have to make it work better. Quote

Radsickle Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Where do you wait 15 months for something in Canada anymore? Objectively, the independent CIHI says that waits have dropped and by a great deal. There are still problems no doubt, but some would make it out to be far worse than it is. So true. There are many players in this debate. There are many agendas. We have only our own experiences with our health-care to guide us because, guaranteed, every form of Canadian media has felt the push from the propagandists of private medicine and they'll use whatever means necessary to break open this market in Canada. They're out for blood. They've invested their life savings in private hospitals. Quote
punked Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Systems will always need work. If I commission a study it better come back with something I can use to make whatever that study is on better. Here is one on the US. http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/short/349/8/768 Quote

Radsickle Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) Eh, Bu-Che, do you still resent those who were priviledged enough to have health care when you were a child? Are you perpetuating the inequality out of spite? Edited July 23, 2009 by Radsickle Quote

Or are you continuing the inequality out of spite? When I was a child, there was plenty of health care.....just no guvmint insurance...not even in Canada. LOL! You are watching a disgruntled Canadian citizen, and using that to judge a system from another nation to justify the position of your own nation in its attempts to formulate reforms to its own system. That is very sad. I would hope that you folks figure out what you want soon, because your citizens need that decision to be made. Your government is spending much political capital in this effort, and your tax paying citizens will be stuck with the tab in terms of deficit and debt. It certainly isn't my balls being kicked, but yours for listening to some foreigner telling you this and that and how relevant it is to you. You go ahead and believe who you want and do what you want with your own system. We could not care less what you do, its none of our business. It ain't my problem dude. Quote
