Radsickle Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I'm left handed... isn't that what you were referring to? South-Paw Quote
Guest rickmeister Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 I suppose if the option is paid membership, or server in the states, I'm all about having the server in the states. I just find it ironically amusing that a Canadian political website and forum are hosted in the US. I could put this forum on a server in Montreal or Hamilton. Free. No problem at all. Admins, please drop me a note for details. -RLD Quote
Bryan Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 It doesn't bother me where the site is hosted. Americans don't hesitate to hire Canadians if they have the best offer on the table, why should we get uppity the other way? Almost all of my clients are American, virtually all of them at every studio I've worked at too. Nationality just isn't a factor. Offer the best price to quality ratio, and you'll get the business. Remiel Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Ultimately, the best example that it may not matter where your site is served and hosted may that Facebook and possibly other networking sites are going to be changing their privacy policies worldwide based on the Canadian privacy rulings. Ultimatelty you are bound to the laws of the country of the company that is hosting your website. If the US gov wanted to shut down this site, there is no legal avenues the owners of this site can take to correct the issue. They can essentially hold the site hostage. Quote
