Tawasakm Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Nice.Is this like a takeover, in a thread thats about inane takeovers? I love the irony
jbg Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 I love the irony Ain't it a pity. I know. It's driving away good posters. Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
jbg Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 I do actually realise this . I was responding to a poster who is titled as 'resident left wing yank'. Australian english is much like Canadian or UK english - which I believe I said.I just figured a foreign country (to the U.S.) would speak a different language. And yes I am an extreme left-winger. Oleg Bach Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 I just figured a foreign country (to the U.S.) would speak a different language. And yes I am an extreme left-winger. When you are extreme in any fashioned for to long, look out! Extreme left eventually developes into a hard case right winger - and extreme rightist eventually become pitiful and dasdardly socialists - with a ruling elite of course --- to take pride in being an extreme leftist is kind of dumb - you must be a centralist and take from the left and right what is best and utitlize it - to stay on one extreme end of the spectrum only leads to an advesarial approach - one who is always spoiling for a fight - I believe that is called a common trouble maker-- it's an immature approach -- do you want to be the person who says "black" when I say "white" and vise versa? Extremists are like argumentative children....I have a daughter in law who loves to "challenge" me -- I called her a fool the other day -- eg.."Why would you challenge something that is correct and good? - that makes you a fool....our court system and political system is based on being advesarial - it's a barbaric and stupid system - mutual co-operation is best.

It is not because your daughter in law challenges your view that she can be called a fool.
kimmy Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 It is not because your daughter in law challenges your view that she can be called a fool. Indeed. Probably marrying into Oleg's clan is the first clue. -k (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

jbg Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 This coming from a guy who averages 25 postings a day. I made an earlier post that disappeared. I won't go "day by day" but up through roughly March 19, he made about 45 posts. If you strip away this quiescent period, this poster went into a Travis-like mode (link) and from that date on averaged just under 28 posts per day. jbg Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 Your one liners are improving in quailty ---that's a good one benny....Yes - if I see a bull dozer coming with out a driver - I am the first to aquese...fix that spelling for me ----------------and... powerful nations and corporations, with there success become morbid and fat and stupid --- I guess that is called de-cadence. The are no longer dancing to the beat but stumbling - and when a fat giant with a small brain falls --- they rarely get up again. To win at a game of chicken, morbid obesity and stupidity are both important. Couldn't find a better exhibit. Now they pat each other on the back. Forum Admin Greg Posted June 29, 2009 Forum Admin Report Posted June 29, 2009 Enough of the off-topic banter. The majority of the postings in this thread kinda proved the original posters point about off-topic banter. If this type of behaviour continues, Charles and I will have to take a more agressive role in moderating this type of behaviour. Have any issues, problems using the forum?
