Fortin Posted June 11, 2009 Report Share Posted June 11, 2009 I agree with most of what you said, other than that Ontario in the last 2 decades has supported the Liberals heavily, and not just Toronto. You're quite right, I think, that the Liberals have pandered too heavily to specific groups and lost the votes of a lot of the non-ethnic and well-to-do Canadians as a result. There will be no Liberal resurgence in the West for a LOOONG time as a result. Well, one way or another Harper is losing support, and one way or another Iggy is gaining support. How and why are unknown to me, as well as most citizens. In any case I will venture to say that Harper WILL lose a few seats in the west, how many will depend on when the election is called and for what reason. Harper will lose a ton of seats because he didn't follow his mandate and because he's leading during a nasty recession, and the ruling party historically fairs terribly in those conditions.
