jdobbin Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 Right. That's why your poll numbers are already receding, and a big crowd so far constitutes 300 people to hear that leader speak. At a small constituency meeting. Over a thousand back in April at fundraiser and another 1000 next week. As far as poll numbers receding, it was still within the margin or error in one poll. It is higher in most of the provinces that actually matter for seats. Harper must be afraid for the silly tactics that he resorts to. Quote
Bryan Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 And I don't believe the Tories won the election in 2006 legitimately. They violated the Elections Act and the election should have been overturned due to their overspending. Did they do anything that was not normal convention during a federal campaign? A few thousand dollars in expense reimbursement requests were disallowed, that's it. Even the actual total spending limit was not breached, the disagreement was whether ads that ran locally should count as local ads. How did Elections Canada even know about it? The Conservatives submitted the documents! It's funny how, when the Conservatives proposed that all parties just submit all of their campaign records to keep everything above board, the Liberals were actually OPPOSED to that? Now why do you figure they want to see everything the CPC does, but won't show their accounting? Feel free to report to the RCMP. Don't they generally do what the Tories want? So far they've been Liberal puppets. They came along on the Elections Canada witch hunt, curiously, with members of the Liberal Party and specific Liberal media in tow. Suit yourself. The debt was paid off by the convention. Money is now being replenished by small donations. Even you don't believe that. Liberals don't vote with their wallets. Wanting something for nothing is what makes them Liberals. If the Conservatives feel it has been done illegally, call an inquiry. This will come out in the wash. It's not as if the Liberals have not been caught stealing, or doing things like off-the-books corporate no-limit fundraising before. They'll get caught again. These are the same idiots who STILL claim that they had continuous federal surplusses year after year when they were really deep in deficit. Meanwhile, millions of taxpayer dollars that the Liberals stole are still missing: http://www.nanosresearch.com/news/in_the_n...%203%202007.pdf Gee look at that, I was wrong about one thing. I thought it was $24 million, turns out it was $40 million in stolen taxpayers money that the Liberals have still yet to return. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Remember that Stewart lady - that sent off 24 million to her riding that sort of disappeared - where is that cash? If the conservatives send money off to be banked by our elite - at least we can borrow our own cash back - when a liberal sends money off to their friends - it's lost. Quote
jdobbin Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 Did they do anything that was not normal convention during a federal campaign? Actually, they did. No one else did it in the election and it earned them an RCMP raid. A few thousand dollars in expense reimbursement requests were disallowed, that's it. Even the actual total spending limit was not breached, the disagreement was whether ads that ran locally should count as local ads. How did Elections Canada even know about it? The Conservatives submitted the documents! Not for then entire $1 million in spending. It was what the raid was about, remember? It's funny how, when the Conservatives proposed that all parties just submit all of their campaign records to keep everything above board, the Liberals were actually OPPOSED to that? Now why do you figure they want to see everything the CPC does, but won't show their accounting? I don't recall Elections Canada going after the Liberals in the 2006 election. So far they've been Liberal puppets. They came along on the Elections Canada witch hunt, curiously, with members of the Liberal Party and specific Liberal media in tow. Ah, the old conspiracy chestnut. Everyone is out to get the Tories. Even you don't believe that. Liberals don't vote with their wallets. Wanting something for nothing is what makes them Liberals. Conventions bring in a lot of cash and with that and party financing, the debt was near paid off prior to the May convention. There have also been several campaign fundraisers that have brought in hundreds of thousands across the country including Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Halifax and next week Montreal. This will come out in the wash. It's not as if the Liberals have not been caught stealing, or doing things like off-the-books corporate no-limit fundraising before. Think we already have an inquiry that didn't find any elected official stealing cash. You would figure that the Tories would have come up with something already. Instead they are deflecting from the hundreds of millions that flowed to Tories who even today are in power from the sell of Airbus and other lobbyists. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Wanting something for nothing and taking what someone else has created and earned is what makes them liberals - they want to liberate and free up money ---- and make themselves comfortable - much like NDP socialist types - all of them want secretly to live on the Bridal Path..every socialist mail carrier - covets.
