I feel that the content of my signature is a legitimate expression of personal opinion and that the attempt to force me to remove or alter parts of it are a violation of my right to free speech and personal expression.

So there we have it, Ontario's orginal question, but i'd like to ask my own:

Canadian laws state just how far our freedoms of speech and personal expression can be exericised, in Ontario's explaination of his signature is he clearly exericising his freedom of speech or has he crossed the line by infringing on other groups rights ?

I have said this before that that i do agree with some of your arguments, I'm not a gay rights flag waving fan. What i do believe in is our charter of rights, Canadain values and morals, that they should apply to all across the board, be it a way of life, a race, a religion, etc...We as a nation can not pick and choose those that we grant these rights to. As it would under mind the entire charter, and those very values and morals we stand for.

Well, first of all, let's remind ourselves of the fact that you're (not your) in the military and that you are trained to spread the "love" with the barrel of a gun... so accusing me of hate and supporting the gay rights movement is pretty rich and exemplifies the fact that all sin and evil is inter-connected...

They say you fear what you do not understand, and you've made it clear serveral times you don't understand Canada's military. Canada's military does spread the "love" with the barrel of a gun, amongst the many other things it does Non combat related but it does so under Canadian and inter-national law and most importantly Canadian Values and morals. So while it may seem "rich" to you, clearly you have not upheld those very same Values and morals that you demand and expect our nations military be held accountable to.

Then reread some of your comments below, your not making an argument "why" you disagree, but rather sharing your clouded opinion that is not based on fact or some study but rather your views, that could be considered hateful...once again you fear what you do not understand.

Do you notice when somebody disapears from the street and in ensnared in the gay lifestyle? Nope. Do you notice when somebody goes missing from your community when the die of HIV/AIDs? Nope. Or when the are abused by a sexual predator and then commit suicide? Nope.

We do not know what a gay society will entail, but we do know that homosexuality is high risk and self-destructive, and that a society governed by gay ideals will likely go into decline.

Yes, that is what he means, and that's what I mean by comparing the GRM to the Nazis. Once these people are in place, have power and authority, control the government and media, then there will be no discussion about this issue unless you want to suffer the consequences

Personally, I believe that the gay rights movement is to Western Civilization's detriment (just as homosexuality was a detriment to certain ancient civilizations like the Spartans and Imperial Rome) and see a modern parallel in the spread of the "gay rights" ideology in the Nazi movement in 1930s.

While I do find his former sig offensive, I don't think it was worth changing....mainly because of how stupid and hateful it showed him to be.

So not only do I stand with him and his right to be seen as stupid and hateful, I insist we help him be seen as stupid and hateful.

I'm with M. Dancer on this one. I do not agree with what Ontario Loyalist says, but this person has a natural inherent right to possess and express his/her thoughts. Of course, this is a forum run and owned by a private party whom makes the rules. So, I also recognize Greg's freedom to create whatever boundaries he so chooses. But, I believe the signature should stay so everyone can be aware of exactly what kind of person Ontario Loyalist is.

Something about gay rights being the same to the western world as the Nazi regime was to Germany. There is a thread about it in Support and Questions section. Here's a glimpse into the prism of intellect espoused by Onatrio Loyalist on that thread:

Also, you need to remember that the Nazi regime in many respects for most Germans would not have come across as evil and sinister because it was adept at masking through propaganda what it was doing behind the scenes. For the average German daily life would have been not much different, relatively speaking, than it is for you.
