Maplesyrup...

Here's a blast from the past.

Belinda Stronach will win on the first ballot.

The reason being is that she is more marketable to mainstream Canadian society than the other candidates.

You sound pretty cocksure there...

I'd take more caution in predicting the future. Stronach hasn't even started campaigning yet and she's the dark horse too.

You're predicting a first ballot victory ?

I haven't seen anything yet that detracts from my original forecast of Belinda winning this on the first count of the preferential ballot, although it might take the second count to swing it, if that is the correct terminology.

I'm still holding on to the "predictions" thread for the next general election. We'll ALL be wrong on that one, by the looks of things.

As a side note, the original MapleLeafWeb poll proved to almost be a "scientific poll" of the eventual outcome.

Harper: 9 votes

Clement: 2 votes

Stronach: 7 votes

Amazing, huh ?

And by her winning, a lot of the PCs, including former Prime Minister Joe Clark, who have left the party, will return.

Isn't my prediction of a "narrowed Liberal majority" there?

I remember those words.

Congratulations to all those who were supporting Stephen harper. ;)

An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't.
