KeyStone Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 To be fair, if Obama had been advised not to comment by the Justice League of America....there was little he could do... Yeah, Aquaman would have kicked his ass. Quote
Topaz Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 "...Don't waste your question." Now that is one arrogant MoFo! I disagree. Obama was just saving time and cut the reporter off and he explained why and said why he couldn't say anything UNTIL next week. Wait until next week and see what happens. I've done the same thing to phones calls I get from people who call selling something. I don't want it and so I cut them off and tell so and say thanks for calling anyway. Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 I disagree. Obama was just saving time and cut the reporter off and he explained why and said why he couldn't say anything UNTIL next week. Wait until next week and see what happens. It's was the reporter's question to ask and "waste" any way they pleased.....Obama doesn't get to prempt questions from the press...he can choose not to answer them. We have seen this arrogant aspect of Obama's demeanor again. I've done the same thing to phones calls I get from people who call selling something. I don't want it and so I cut them off and tell so and say thanks for calling anyway. Was it a press conference? No. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Topaz Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 *UPDATE*Obama flashes irritation in press room visit President Obama made a surprise visit to the White House press corps Thursday night, but got agitated when he was faced with a substantive question. Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face. "Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here." Politico How dare you ask the Messiah a very substantive and significant question! However, like in the previous case, he will probably allow you to ask a different question as to not make you waste your opportunity. Hope n Change '09. Maybe he knows Raytheon is one of the Carlyle Group companies and he's tired of Bush family making money off the war. Quote
