White House for sale

Private dollars are is overwhelming public campaign funds, giving big monied special interests the inside track on the presidential race. And no one better exemplifies the rise of special interest cash and its role in undermining the public interest than George W. Bush. Bush has never met a chequebook he didn't like, and is very generous when it comes to paying back his friends.

Americans can sense their voices are being drowned out by the sound of cash registers. Voters are apathetic, disinterested and cynical of the whole process. America is becoming the best democracy money can buy.

Why is it so cheap?

For $100 million, Bush can buy control (major influence) over an annual Federal Budget, during four years, of $1 trillion. No private investment opportunity would ever be so good.

What republicans don't understand is when it comes to pink slips. They don't ask what political party you belong to. They don't care if you are a christian or not. There's no such thing as job security under this administration, you can always get a job at Mcdonalds.

Or anythng else . What's wrong with Micky D's anyhow? You don't like kids that know how to work and serve a customer? People find a job no matter what, it seems to me that the Libs are the ones stopping an oil boom in Alaska. Ever figure out how many jobs that would make? I suppose you liie Arabs to have those ones.

Try to live or raise a family on a Micky D's wage

So rather than park the gas guzzling SUV, pursue sustainable development and sound public investment in new technologies (which would also create countless jobs), we just need to continue the slash'n'burn policies that have served us in the past. F**k the future, eh?

As for the final remark, it seems like Shell, Exxon, halliburton and all the other F.O.B.'s (Friends of Bush) do okay whether they are dealing with Arab regimes or their friends in the White House.

(Why do I even bother?)
