Ontario (and Canada's) Manufacturing Slump almost Over.

The brief leap came after Statistics Canada disclosed that the nation's employers added about 107,000 jobs last month, although only about 10,000 of these were full-time.

“You should have heard the gasps and oohs and ahs in the office this morning,” Steven Butler, director of foreign-exchange trading at Scotia Capital Inc. in Toronto said minutes after the announcement. “People were just shocked. The jobs were ... fantastic given what's going on. It's just a really, really healthy number for Canada.”

However, Mr. Butler also correctly predicted that the job-creation figures would be quickly forgotten as currency traders and their clients got back to the business of liquidating their positions and trying to preserve capital in the global financial maelstrom.

Reports on CNN is that Ford and GM may not be with us next year and bankruptcy is nearing and if that happens there going to me alot of unemployed people and drawing on the EI. GM announced that is going to have to close plants and have more layoffs. If this is going to be 1929-30 all over again when do the rich CEO's start jumping out the windows???
