Oleg Bach Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 You sound like you need heroes to worship. You might also want to tryito find something good about yourself. You might find it will make you less judgemental, less prone to barking on college street and less likely to confuse hallucinations with visions.Or like I said you could simply stick to Lithium or something bizarre like Thorazine. It gives one twiches. That can pass as you pointing your finger in righteous indignation. Me my favourite drug is chocolate marshmellow cookies. When I was younger it was peyote. Then I decided running up and down College street barking made it problematic to keep a job. That and the constant fights with Satan over who was more cowardly, him or God. All I know is God just keeps laughing at us both and offering us chocolate marshmellow cookies. Tell you what keeps me healthy...food...good company on occassion - not to become fatigued fighting a useless cause for to long for the benefit of someone who does not give a damn..also..to bed down with my wife- to know that my children are safe and know I love them...and proper sleep..other than that I really don't want to hear your droll about Throrazine or Lithium..I have heard of those compounds and saw their results back in the 70 where intellectuals who were a bit off side were reduced to trolls dragging their feet down Yorkville Avenue...I am not interested in your world of medications and modern liberal or conservative thought. The only thing of value that you have come up with are eht chocolate marshmellow cookies..other than that...you take the gov. dope...and don't even suggest changing me---I am an old guy..and have seen it all....but I will take the ccckies - you sacrafice yourself and take the meds...I am not interested in such foolishness. Oleg Bach Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Ha ha. So that was you? Ha ha. Good one Rue. You would think he would have the sense to stay in the country..you were really taking your chances dashing about in front of what was the old Clark Institute...you lucky Rue that you did not become part of a failed experiment..Imagine if they snatched you up and you were attempting to explain that it was the mushrooms or the pyote`...I could see you tied to a chair going on about cookies--you do realize once they started stuffing you with THEIR drugs that it would be the end of your adventure. Keepitsimple Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Decent article by Michael Coren..... And in Gaza. Which is an icon of the failure of peace as Israel celebrates its 60th anniversary. The country is stronger and wealthier than ever before, but peace is just as unlikely. Gaza says it all. Israel occupied it when it dared to win a war with Arab neighbours dedicated to wiping the Jewish state off the map. It wanted to hand it back to Egypt, but Cairo wanted no part of it. They still don't. Even so, Israel withdrew. It was painful, risky and divisive. Only a fool would believe that they did this because they cared about the Palestinians. They did it because they hoped it might lead to peace. However, instead of viewing this as a gesture of goodwill, Hamas saw it as weakness and stepped up its military campaign. Israel left an entire economic infrastructure, much to the chagrin of more hawkish Israelis. It was smashed apart by the Palestinians within hours. Within days the shower of rockets began to descend on Jewish civilians living close to the border, in towns that had never been Arab and had been built from nothing by Jewish labour. Since then legions of women, children and families have lived in shelters. This, the Israelis are being told, is what happens if you return land. Gaza itself is hellish. But it has been given billions of dollars in foreign aid and the money is still being pumped in. Tragically, it goes to buy guns, rockets and explosives rather than food, oil and books. Little is said about Egypt being far stricter on its side of Gaza with its Palestinian cousins or how Hamas directly has prevented a million litres of fuel being distributed to its people. Double standard and unfair criticism. Nothing new. Israel knows it is badly treated and knows that whatever it does, some people and groups will always hate it. Yet it still celebrates its birthday. As it should. Sixty glorious years. Link: http://www.torontosun.com/News/Columnists/...pf-5524881.html Quote Back to Basics
