When did I mock muslims? By criticizing Sudan Muslims for asking that a woman's head be removed for something she did not even do?

My quick posts and comments today have been directed at some posters and I don't really know how I ended up having a conversation with you...I expected THEM to reply, so if you do not mock Muslims, I have no beef with you. I respect you and your opinion.

People are mocking Muslims, someone said he wanted to name his toilet after them, and that's really racist. I think that woman has to apologize if she named the bear Muhammad but that's it. She did offend Muslims. That's all I'm asking.

So I mean a poster here not too long ago asserted the idea that Jesus was gay. Now I disagreed with him. But I did not threaten him. No one sought that posters life for saying such a thing. Do you think that Christians should? You seem to think that calling a teddy bear (something which is associated with goodness) Mohammed is offensive. What if someone said Mohammed was gay? Or lets say someone pointed out that he was married to a 9 year old. By Canadian law Mohammad would be a pedophile, wouldn't he? So if someone says something like that, what do you think should happen to them?

I am having a serious conversation and when someone uses emoticons, the smiley face, they might as well laugh in your face. That is impolite. Emoticons are for little girls as far as I'm concerned. I don't need to put an angry face if I tell you to get lost. That's my opinion and you're not the first to oppose it. You can use it or not...I'm just explaining my reaction so don't go distorting what I say again.

Second, nobody "deserves" a 9/11 and I don't think I deserved to get held up at the security of airport for another 2 hours but I know how people think.

In Canada, my local paper is run by Israelis, media...everything that truly matters to me. They won't publish my letters but they will publish anti-Islam letters.

Even on a forum I got pro-Isreali anti-Muslims banging up on me nonstop. They all use free-speech as the guise to make fun of Islamic values. It's like of the millions of things that they could be talking about, they can only think of mocking Muslims. And when? When over a million Iraqis are dead or injured, 4 million refugees, millions lost their house, their jobs, ...

They just won't leave us alone. How the hell did we ever deserve this? Instead of capturing Bin Laden they kill over a million people. I hope they all burn in hell...actually, I hope they all experience what Iraqis are going through...no more no less.

Nobody has any obligation to publish your letters. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. I don't know where you live, but it is never easy to get a letter to the editor published. I know peope who are full professors at major academic institutions who cannot get their letters published.

Here are a few tips...

1) keep it brief. More than a hundred words and they start thinking about the cost

2) keep it on point. Don't rave about your ideas. Address the article that you saw in their paper and do it directly.

3) be respectful. Nobody wants to give you a hammer to hit someone else over the head

4) know your subject and quote respected sources

Canadian newspapers are genuinely interested in divergent points of view from knowledgable advocates. We are a culture that prides itself in its diversity. They cannot afford to publish the opinions of cranks.

Yes there are a lot of newspapers run by people whom you might think are biased against your point of view. Find the ones who are not and make your home there.

The reference to the "hundreds of posters" was about the forums that I have joined since six months ago. At least in this forum I have one person who somewhat agrees with me.

And no I did not start posting with such emotion before. After dozens of people ganged up on me and asked all Muslims to leave Canada (not Jews or anybody else), I have developed a more fighting spirit. You have not been in the same situation so I don't expect you to understand how it feels for people to continually gang up on you.

Most people disagree with me here, but only three or four people have actually posted anything. So there.

I was watching PBS this afternoon and I saw a very interesting discussion of US Evangalism and rapture. This in fact is the fundamental basis of much of the support that Israel enjoys in the Bush doctrine. Of course this requires that all Jews either convert to Christianity or be condemned to the everlasting flames of hell following the great Armeggedon that some half starved half wit came up with before history became a science.

Anyways, this guy named Rosenberg came on. I can't remember what American Jewish group he represented, but he started to talk about how he thought it was important for the Palestinians to have a viable state, not for the sake of the Palestinians, but because he thought it was the only way that Israel could have peace and that the world's Jews could have a sanctuary.
