baby billy Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Holy Moly. I hope that someone can find a way of sending Bush and his administrative cronies to prison when they leave office...........at the very least. What a disgusting (and frightening) display of arrogance, deceit and criminal treachery. The current administrations irreverance concerning international law and the Geneva Conventions is nothing new to the world- but to circumvent their own laws and principles in order to establish some sort of "Neo-Conservative Autocracy" brings the French Revolution to mind. How dare they wield their power so foolishly. Seriously......."off with their heads". Quote
sharkman Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Hi there, er, billy. You may not be aware, but usually when starting a thread, it's helpful to provide a link to the subject matter you are discussing. It gives readers a source with which to weigh your opinions and provide their own. Since I didn't watch Frontline last night, I would have to go with my experiences in general with the Frontline people, which is that the yellow journalism they produce and the raging GBS they are infected with prevents them from being trustworthy in matters political. Shakeyhands Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Ummm...this would be a violation of the Geneva Conventions. Oh, are you guys heeding that now? Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
bush_cheney2004 Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Oh, are you guys heeding that now? Sure, but they don't apply to unlawful combatants. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Guest coot Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 I think Cheney qualifies as an unlawful combatant. Quote

I have determined that Cheney is an enemy combatant. Not much he can do about it. I have different rules. I don't care what the rest of the world wants or thinks. Quote

I don't care what the rest of the world wants or thinks. So what are you going to do about it, hunt down the enemy? Charge him with wrongful behaviour? Or maybe just declare him an EC on a forum and bask in the accomplishment... Obviously, babybilly did not impress the lot of you since all of the comments were off topic. Me too. Quote
