So I've decided to build a community of half white red headed scots only is that racist? Really it is, okay I agree it is racist. So how come this group can do it and nary a squeak from the Muliti Cult crowd? Integration it's another propaganda tool of the left or liberals and NDP, as long as we integrate with immigrants it's so way cool but they can build Cultural Enclaves and it's progress.

VAUGHAN -Before dawn in this sprawl north of Toronto, McDonald's is locked and Tim Hortons is empty. The fake mountain of Canada's Wonderland, the amusement park, peeks from the gloom. Across the street looms the white minaret of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at mosque.

A speaker in the parking lot crackles and broadcasts the Arabic call to prayer. Suddenly, silent life fills the dark streets. Men dressed in the long white shalwar camise of their native Pakistan and women in head scarfs emerge from their brick homes.

The only sound is the squeak of hundreds of soles on the asphalt. At the mosque, couples separate: women to their basement prayer hall, men headed upstairs. Before sunrise on this day of Ramadan, they are coming to pray.

Font:****Welcome to Peace Village, Canada's first Islamic subdivision, where all 260 homes belong to members the Ahmadiyya sect, who flooded to Canada in the 1980s after persecution in Pakistan. It looks ordinary, with basketball nets and minivans in the driveways, until you notice the street signs: Mahmood Crescent, Ahmadiyya Avenue and Noor-Ud-Din Court.

"There is nothing like this in North America," boasts Naseer Ahmad, a real estate agent from Pakistan who dreamed up this community of Islamic dream homes (including oak stairs and central air conditioning) on the edge of Toronto. "You have a mosque, and people are walking to enjoy their faith."

The houses, with some modifications, such as increased ventilation (for spicy food) and separate living rooms for women and men, are so successful that, six years after Peace Village opened, Mr. Ahmad plans to double the mosque's size and is now selling 55 townhomes, 1,700 square feet each, for around $350,000 with a garage and a yard, as "Peace Village Phase II."

They have the right to live together in a ghetto if that's what they want; after all it's exactly what every other ethnic group does too. That's why floodgate "visible minority" immigration is going to kill the west. To have any sort of social strength, a society must have at least some degree of homogeniety. In 1960 we had virtually 100% homogeniety and today we have very little chance of having it for another 1000 years.

It's making news here in Toronto.

I think a lot of people encourage this because they see it as some way to get these people out of their own neighbourhoods. Of course, that is not the reality.

These sects of Muslims that these housing developments are meant for are mostly refugees from Pakistan. They are a very small sect of Muslims and that's what they use to claim refugee status. There are many thousands here in Toronto and they are very tight knit and stoneage. I used to work with one of them and he told me that the most important thing that matters to him is his 'community'. Second is his family, 3rd, his job.

He sponsored in his mother, his brother, married in a wife, and then another wife from his brothers side.

eidt: All living in 1 house in mississauga. All collecting various qov't cheques. He had 3 kids.

He attended events where politicians were present around that very area in Vaughan. I got 2 invitations (because I really am multicultural and friends with everyone). Paul Martin was attending (at the time) and I could have met him but my fiance refused to go.

You're right - if this was overtly publicized as a subdvision for certain races, there would be an outcry.

You are right that it is illegal if it is exclusionary. However, it is unlikely that anyone cares too much. I think it must be lovely for them, living in their own community with church a walk away. Very much like the Christian community I grew up in. In that community, when people got together, the women and the men visited separately. I fail to see any 'threat' from this community.

And especially all those terrorists that the Christian community raised.

These people do not work and drain our medical system. That is my main issue.

It begins with this.. and just imagine their own schooling in this neigbourhood. Then they can get into our Parliment via MMP.

Then finally, the last step, seperation into their own jurisdiction.

This is the story of Islam around the world. IMO, It's historic, it's the way it always has been and the way these stoneaged welfare indoletts behave in the countries they overtake.

Canada has become plitically and morally weak. A country of losers.

Time for me to get out of here!

I really do not find a problem with this at all. I would think that if someone from another faith really wanted to live in this kind of home, that they probably could buy just like any other person. But yes the home designer and realestate brokers both have made it to suit certain people. That is such a small market to draw from that I can not see it being the best choice for these investors. But it is their money so they can invest and spend it as they wish.

As long as the people of this community follow the laws of the land for Canada, then no harm no foul. It would though be nice to think that these people would also blend in a bit more with Canadian way of life, but that is not a prerequist to being here. There could be a danger of community conflict over some religious practices that are against Canadian law, and as I said earlier, the one thing that must still stand is that out law of the land trumps all religion and their laws when in conflict with them. But other then that I hope they are happy with their new homes and community.

Was it a Christian community by rule of law, or simply because the majority of people in small communities, at that time it was settled, were Christian?

Are people of other faiths prohibited from moving there?

I never said they were 100% unemployed. We do know that about half now are living here belowe poverty (welfare, supplemental cheques from us tax payers). And we do know that Islamic men and especially women have an unusually high unemployment rate. Especially the wives.

And yes. they can certainly get a mortgage.

I can get you any mortgage you want on a $350k home as long as you don't have high risk credit. Even if you have no credit. You just have to deal with the right mortgage broker. All ethnic communities have many of their own mortgage brokers that ensure they get the loans.

Once in their home they have children and start collecting cheques. They spend VERY, VERY little into our economy. You have to see it first hand. You really do have to go into these houses and see no furniture in the house and an old 20" tv set on the floor of a brand new home. I've seen that too many times.

The play the system like a fiddle. It's part of landing in Canada. Trust me Xul already has this all figured out. He knows what he'll be doing here and how to get the mortgage.

This does nothing for us but drive up housing and cost us tax payers the money.

I can get you any mortgage you want on a $350k home as long as you don't have high risk credit. Even if you have no credit. You just have to deal with the right mortgage broker. All ethnic communities have many of their own mortgage brokers that ensure they get the loans.

People with no credit and no means to pay for a $350,000 mortgage simply cannot get a $350,000, no matter how hard you want to twist this issue to your political ends. Why not stick to the truth? You retain more credibility that way.

I don't see how a free country that guarantees the freedom to practice whatever creationist superstition you please can prevent people from ghettoizing themselves.

Some people choose traditional relationships, and women don't work outside the family/community, etc. in many cultures, including Ward and June Cleaver.
