  1. When I meant more programs I meant expanding health care into pharmacare but getting rid of parts of health care that don't work and are costing health care money. Therefore we want to reform health care so it is more efficient. On education we would invest in post secondary education. Other than that we want to lower taxes in the areas that create jobs and be the party of reducing the debt and deficit the fastest. We agree consumption taxes are the best way to reduce the deficit. We are committed to doing everything possible to decrease the deficit in the least amount of time. The way to do it is to focus on essential programs and programs that make sense keeping.
  2. So have you been to David Orchard's site and have you seen what really went down and Conservatives buying the riding associations. I know the truth because Sinclair told me and we should have kept the Conservative in the name.
  3. Hey Jack I would like to hear your opinion about me turning down running the riding.
  4. The kind of party I want is moderate conservative of the progressive conservative kind where we offer slightly more social programs than the conservatives but we are more fiscally responsible than the liberals and conservatives. therefore we keep the programs that work with some growth in health care but education remains the same and we reduce the size of government by having tax cuts to stimulate growth. We have an actual environmental plan unlike the conservatives but we don't pit region against region but every region needs to have some kind of timeline for the environment and can't just do nothing.
  5. Thanks man and it was fun viewing your posts but I must be off to bed.
  6. LOL okay fine August is fine to be PM of our country. I actually did get on the ballot in the riding of Oak Ridges - Markham but I said to the party there is no way I could ever run if the party does not get a full slate of candidates. How can anyone take the party seriously also other than the full slate of candidates issue but on the issue of the fact that there is the "canadian" in the name and not "conservative". That one word means a whole lot of difference. Why do you think I am running this Centrist Party idea? The party sounds like a household name and something average Canadians can identify with. I know you may say something like people identify with the PC party since it was used since 1942 but the party will only run with as many candidates as in the 2008 election which was about 15 candidates of 308. I think the Centrist name is more useful and the party would be between the two major parties. Thank you and I look forward to comments about what I said.
  7. Well meaningful discussion won't happen in this thread I can tell it is all about joking around. Anyways, thanks for the complement and if you or August1991 think I created the CEN thread no I just created the thread with the ccen user label. Also I didn't create the Atlantic Party of Canada one either. All I want is a Progressive Conservative type party with the Centrist Party of Canada name that is all.
  8. But I seriously wanted to find people who were interested in my idea and wanted to be one of 250 electors.
  9. I was the person who just created the one called "if there was a centrist party of canada" topic and now it is ruined and people won't take that topic seriously because of the SEN topic, CEN topic and the APC topic. Now it is all ruined.
  10. I have no idea who the person who posted this topic is trying to imitate but I have a feeling this topic was created for all the wrong reasons.
  11. I kind of hope that there could be more parties like Confederation of the Regions since it stood up for areas that do not get a lot of support which is rural areas.
  12. Well if you mean in secrecy would you like the answer if I said for a change in North America we would be a conservative party in this continent that actually governs with complete transparency and openness and accountability and even start a website to basically show all our ideas and run the most transparent government in Canadian history and actually mean what we say and not hide behind closed doors. Canadians deserve better and we would be the party of 18 to 24 and 25 to 39. We would be so popular in fact the other parties would need to worry.
  13. Well in answering the question about how the party would have to govern is centre to centre-right since that area is currently unoccupied and the current Conservative party is more closer to the Canadian Alliance ideologically than the old red tory Progressive Conservative party which we would try to govern much closer to. Therefore we would be centrist, liberal conservative, one nation conservative, traditionalist conservative, neoliberal, and be for reducing the size of government. I think that is what most Canadians would want in a party.

  15. Someone said a long time ago that a party that wants to keep our best programs like health and education and our strong social programs needs to be created and our economy must be a free market economy so our party would balance social progress on that front with free market economics therefore like the Progressive Conservative party and therefore used their time tested strategy. Remember if it was used in 1867 to 2003 then it could work now and I see nothing wrong with saying to people in certain regions that we want to be the successor to that party and try to seek the nomination of people who are committed to that ideology. My friend in the party even talked about the fact that Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia were good places to start since they have tons of people who believe in Red Toryism and red toryism does exist and people on other sites have said it is just liberalism painted with a few brushes of conservatism which is false since it is used in Great Britain and our party and its ideology would use what is used in certain parts of Europe. Therefore Eastern Canada is a place where our party would most likely be successful the same goes with Quebec and replacing the liberal vote in Western Canada. I think with these conditions applied our party would take votes from Liberals and Conservatives and give way to a new type of politics in Canada. Check out http://www.centristparty.piczo.com
  16. We are for freedom of religion and people can practice however they choose. I think the Liberals and Conservatives have the same policy on that.

Also see the bottom of the page to check out the email and if you are interested in being one of the 250 electors give me a chat at the email.
  18. Well there is one difference that sets our party ahead of the rest and that is youth and most of the people in the party are between the ages of 18 to 25 which is the lowest voting block. Also, you say every fringe party thinks their message is super appealing well I cannot deny that is true but we are between the two major parties and all we need is the 250 electors or supporters to join us and help create the party. I agree with the money part and the hardest thing is to find someone who actually listens to us and help us get our foot through the door. Right now we have no one and we need to look somewhere and seek people who are positive and also have name recognition which is also important. What I was thinking about are ex-cabinet ministers who are part of provinces that are willing to join a new party. I think the Georges Laraque strategy for the Green Party is a good one and we need to find people who are not in politics for the money but to change hearts and minds and willing to switch to a new party. I guess that is all I can say for now but I want everyone on this forum and everywhere to know that some day there will be true leadership in Canada that won't just seek votes but wanting to change this country for the better and willing to work for the common person. This party was not just made to increase voter intention but to also ensure that our democracy is strong and so we give voices to people who believe Canada can do better.
  19. You can promise it if you behave a certain way or treat your opponents not like enemies and promise the public beforehand and swear you will never act that way. Remember that the public wants people who are not partisan and for all of us to work together so it is not unusual for a new breed of politicians to come and show the public the way.
  20. Well most governments in the region are red tory Progressive Conservatives and thus I notice major differences between the federal Conservatives and Progressive Conservatives.
  21. Well what I wanted to prove from what I said is why are James Moore and the Conservatives doing what they are doing right now? There has to be a reason. No one can give it. Are they trying to provoke something?
  22. Hopefully the Centrist party gets created for Atlantic Canadians and Quebeckers who want to vote for something more pragmatic and more fiscally responsible. Knowing how the Conservatives have governed over the last 5 years that is a welcomed alternative.
  23. When the war with Iran happens I can just see this government wanting to go there. How much resistance will come from the people in Quebec and Atlantic Canada is the real question? Of course you won't ever hear that from the people constantly wanting to fight regimes to show how tough they are. We need diplomacy and peace and the best way to do that is to communicate and avoid war at all costs. Also, America has shown us that war will bankrupt a nation.
  24. What if they are a good idea like mine which actually wants to be fiscally responsible and socially progressive and wants to try to be that middle ground between the two parties. All parties at one time were fringe like the Bloc Quebecois, the Reform party, the Green party. You need to find that thing that resonates with people and it is true that some movements come from the destruction of other parties like in 1993 when conservatives made the transition from the PC party to Reform simply because they thought the PC party lost their trust. Also, parties form because people want change. Another way parties can get formed is by letting people know that the party is there. In the Green party's case they found some niche as an environmentalist party but people won't look at their other platform proposals which says they are centrist economically. They will always be seen as a one issue party but they have much more to offer. In our case, we can offer a much more broad spectrum of ideas and people won't mistake us for another Green party. Therefore, I have talked to people saying that in 1993 the NDP were running at around 7 to 9% and got 9 seats in 1993. Therefore, people may just choose the NDP simply on name recognition and simply since Jack Layton is the leader. People nowadays choose leadership over policy. Also, as a party we are hoping for social democrats and liberals and old liberal conservatives to embrace our party and have a strong coalition of people all over the spectrum. We think a party that wants to be red tory/blue liberal and actually embrace true fiscal responsibility and better leadership is something that is wanted nowadays and it may succeed and it may not succeed but only time will tell. Lastly, fringe parties do exist although parties that were originally fringe parties do not need to stay that way and once they get to be registered parties then they could grow from there or stay the same as parties going nowhere. I think this Centrist Party has the right name, the right area in the spectrum and it will get created for the right reasons.
