  1. The speaking to the mirror syndrome again.
  2. Indeed, a French-language sign at a post office is a HUGE attack on civil liberties.
  3. Who cares about them? This is Canada.
  4. And in less than 24 hours, you'll make a fool of yourself AGAIN. Three days after Darth Vader led the Kilingons in conquering the Earth. Yep. Canadian languages are extra in Canada. Whatever.
  5. I'm not French. STRIIIIIIIIIIIKE ONEEEEEE Something that didn't happen. STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE TWOOOOOOOOO by enhancing protection for the rights and freedoms of Canadian. STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. You're out... of your mind.
  6. On that we agree. The hysteria is yours, and yours alone. This less than 24 hours after you claimed my being able to speak English was a form of betrayal. How long before you claim you never wrote that one? French politicians have not passed laws applying to this country for about two centuries and a half now. I forgot, other Canadians don't get federal government services in either English or French. you.
  7. You're the living proof it does not happen only among "ethnics".
  8. Yes smallc. Be careful. Too much approval of things taht did not happen and of a person who did not exist can be bad for your health.
  9. Yes, Canada is a lot scarier place since that thing that did not happen.
  10. Oh the infamy. Truuudeau was not a barrow-minded clueless bigot. Oh the double infamy, He actually knew proper English.
  11. The fact we gave two national languages is what I refer to.
  12. An attack on the English culture... Obviously the norons are not all in Quebec.
  13. I am not. I am Canadian. ... Canadian Let me get that one straight. I am French, yet I am not French because I can write in English, which means I am betraying my culture... while trying to impose it upon you, if we are to believe your theory. Of the truely stupid things I have seen here, this one has a place of its own. Remember that one next time you're tempted to make a fool of yourself by claiming I am French instead of Canadian. You're the only one being confused (oh surprise) and BTW I have one nation... Canada.
  14. You don't like CANADA, leave. (...) without you.
  15. And I am in favour of you leaving A;berta and Canada behind, if this country is too good for your taste.
  16. Yes. And not because you're from Alberta, or because you would defend Alberta. Actually, Alberta deserves better than you.
  17. In other words, your money belongs to a francophobic, homophobic (among other things) lowlife dinosaur.
  18. If your definition of personal gain is monetary gain, you'd be surprised by the number of people who prove you wrong every day. I can't wait to read all those literary masterpieces of the FORTRAN language.
  19. Official blingualism does not exists for the sake of official bilingualism. It exists as a reflection of a fundamental characteristic of this country.
  20. In case I did not make myself clear enough. If people decide to learn Spanish instead of French or English, they can go ahead. But they don;t get to complain afterword because the Government of Canada, provincial government or businesses requires some of their employees to know this country's two official languages. You will never hear me whine because some employers want employees able to communicate with their clients in Caracas or Mexico.
  21. The choice should be made by students, not schools. But that's besides the point.
  22. T o be clear here. I do not believe that any language is superior to any other. And quite frankly, what second language anyone chooses to learn, or even if they decide not to learn a second language at all, is their own business. If you got the impression I think otherwise, you can scrap that one out because this is not what I thought, what I think or what I'll ever think. Still, French is the language of a significant proportion of Canadians, and (rightly) one of our great country'' official language. It should be the absolute right of any Canadian not to learn the other official language if they decide to. But once you make that choice, don't come whining about how "unfair" it is that it closes you some doors in your own country.
  23. In your dreams. We are not going anywhere.
