"Birthers" movement problem for GOP
CANADIEN replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Actually, was is odd, and right out of Kafka, is the demand that Obama make public something he has ALREADY make public, a document issued by the State of Hawaii that legally proves he was born in the State of Hawaii. -

I would actually be tempted to believe that if you had actually stated that opinion from the start. Or if there were not past stetements of yours, like saying that you would not care if Muslims and Jews all killed each others, and that at least it would mean more conversions. Especially when you try to portray "honour killings" as more frequent than they actually are, or when you claim against any logic that people who do not share your paranoia are denying or avoiding the issue. -

I won't speak for others, but last time I checked we do not have a section in the criminal codes about privately held opinions. So, as long as they respect the laws of this country, i would even, regretfully, defend the right of racists to become Canadian citizens. That being said, since YOU raised the issue, I wonder how YOU would welcome them, considering you share with the KKK some similar opinions about immigrants, and you fondness for a time when your neighbourhood was whiter. -

Thank you for letting us know that the case has already been tried. -

What is beyond me is how come an idiot like you is still at the party. -

Nice try. Nobody here is trying to ignore that there are "honour" killings in Canada, or that those in recent years have been committed by Muslims. YOUR problem is, the majority of people here will not blow the problem out of proportion to feed their hatred of Muslims, like you do. BTW, you know of course that 15 non-Muslim women have been murdered by their husband/partner/father in Canada between January and June of this year. If your concern was about the safety of women, you'd address that too. You have never addressed it, you do not address it, and you won't address it. -
Of course, you can prove this.

Muslim Honor Killing in Kingston

30 years ago, nobody was killing their wives, daughters, sisters for looking at a man the wrong way, or wearing the wrong clothes? As for the notion that anone is making any excuse of anyone here.... Only an idiot or a bigot would believe that. Shame on YOU for being both. -

You measn... can we imagine your screams of joy if abortion doctors had been murdered? I know... as stupid as your statement. But unlike you I don't believe it. btw, you know of course that honour killing was also practiced well into the 20th century is some Mediteranean Christian cultures, right? Murder, no matter the reason or excuse, is murder and those committing it should be punished to the full extent of the law. Ony idiots would assume people think otherwise just because they don't use certain incidences of murder to justify paranoia and hatred. -

Statute 338 of the State of Hawaii governs the registration of births through their certification. Amonf other things: - it describes what a live birth is; simply put, it is a birth where the child shows signs of life once out of the mother - it states that the filling of a certificate is proma facie proof of the birth - it also states that certified copies of the certificate are legal proof of what is on the certificate - and it finally states who a certified copy can or cannot be issued to. ***** A certification of a live birth is a certification of birth - period. Barack Obama requested, and obtain, a certified copy of his birth certificate, and it is in the form prescribedd by State law -- period. No State employee can just go to the certificate, make a photocopy of it and make it publicly available to the public - period. Barack Obama was born in the State of Hawaii - period. -

So now we're to four, perhaps five. Before you leap into claming those tragedies are common place, look at the possibility of using logic. It would be a change. -

You know, of course, that under State of Hawaii law, the "certificate of live birth" is the ONLY certification of a birth thaqt the State will issue, and only to the person named on the registration, right? It only sounds orwellian to people who do not know what they are talking about. Barack Obama was issued a legal document certifying that, as far as the State of Hawaii is concerned, he was born in Hawaii. Conspiracy theorists, nut jobs and ignoramus think there's something fishy. I don't... and I'm not even a fan of the guy. -

you'd likely praise them. Of course, that statement of mine is ridiculous. The difference, is that unlikely YOUR ridiculous statements (like claiming that "lefties" find excuses for murderers), I know better than to actually believe it. -

Two in the last two-three years. That's two too many, and of course that's a wave of "honour" killings. -

We should not forget that Blacks being barred from restaurants, or quotas on Jewish students in universities still existed in this country until well in the 1960's. Little known fact, but the last segregated shcool in Ontario closed in 1965... lictor thinks of that as a golden age, toooooo bad... for thim. -
And the relationship between that conspiracy theory and racism is?
-
Once again, did I say that there was no relationship between food and culture? Nope. And where did I even mention the word basketball? Now, if one were to admit that non-sense of your that race determines character and intelligence, you'd definitely have to be considered a low-level race on your own.
-
 The lenghts of absurdity you would go when LYING about my opinion is truly amazing. Just that others are not confused, I'll clarify things. Human beings are not equal when it comes to character and intelligence. Nothing to do with skin colour. I know quire a few people, of different races and cultures, who I consider to be fine human beings. Then there's me... not that fine, but I've seen worse. Then there's the bottom of the barrel. wwhere lictor sits (un)happily. Is that clear enough now?
-
Nice trying to distort what I say. I did not say food, I did not talk about drinks. I referred to culture... as a whole.
-
because it is absurd It iis not about races Diversity is part of humanity. As i have said before, and as you have tried in vain to distort, diversity in racial features does not make a society stronger or weaker. Attempts at enforcing uniformity will always make a society weaker though. Pointing how ridiculous your position is is hardly what I would consider avoiding it. What can i say, Chinese culture is better when there are chinese around. Same with Italian culture. You keep forgetting I am the king of typos, right/ Already corrected it, btw. Better luck next time.
-
 Your usual intellectual dishonesty as work again. My position is clear, and, unlike yours, logical: we are all humans, we are/should be equal under the law, and the measure of an individual is his/her own actions, and opinions. egalitarian is not what describes my position. If they close themselves to other people, no they don't.

Actaully, I haven't said anything about the Japanese society, except to point out the contradiction in your own posting. The comment about the Japanese society being ""isolationist, xenophobic, oppressive and racist was made by someone else. As for MY writing they're not afraid of what is different", I was mocking you for praising their homogeneity and diversity at the same time. That being said, I'll take Canada as a societal model over Japan any day... and nnothing to do with skin colour.
-
Did I ever say that there was, or was not, equality between races? What I have said, and is proven by simple logic, is that race has nothing to do with intellectual capacity or character. Nice to see hat you are STILL trying the bit of intellectual dishonesty that consists in pretending I hold a position I have not expressed. And thank you for recognizing that compared to you even I sound like a genius.
