Actually yes, it is. http://www.montrealgazette.com/Ontario+students+want+join+Quebec+student+strike/6650352/story.html

Support for the students is growing...

Scott Brison said it best... “This is one case where I think we really do need a Conservative cover-up,” said Liberal MP Scott Brison. “I guess you could say in this painting it’s quite obvious that the Prime Minister has very little to hide.”

I'm sure the Quebecois won't mind if there's less right wing swine wandering the hallowed halls of their Universities.

Take it to the Islamic forum...this has nothing to do with Canadian politics.

Canada suffers from Dutch Disease
Rick replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, in reality when the Canadian dollar started to rise because of the oil and gas, long before the U.S. greenback fell, the manufacturing sector of this country started exporting less to the U.S.This would be three full years before... -

That's strange then because renowned right wing pundit...Diane Francis of the National Post also agrees with Mulcair.Industry Canada is an arm of the Canadian Government. Is Harper not in charge of the Canadian Government... -
Protests, police provocateurs, masks, etc

You're not talking to me.. you can't see past your 'blue' wall.... Why...because I refuse to buy into your neo-con right wing propaganda? Your description of one fits the bill of what this country has turned into. No, his minions fraudulently and through the use of illegal means, got enough of the vote that they needed. No thanks, we've all seen how poorly neo-cons are in basic math.F-35's...Gazebos, Fake Lakes, true costs of Libyian mission....407 selloffs... -
Funny...I was listening to a different radio callin show in Montreal the other day where a caller stated that the cause of the student riots was rich silver spoon fed windbags who're trying to oppress the next generation in any way possible, just like they're doing to the current one with their failed 'trickle down reganomics' practices.Your caller was right though...Alberta should send more money.

Rigged elections...you know, like the Harper Conservative's illegal Robo-calls...voter intimidation by members of the Conservative party in Guelph...We've seen more police on the streets since Harper came to power and acting in a fascist manner than at any time in Canada's history. Glad to see you're finally admitting that we're living under a dictatorship. -
No arguments here about the bullpen but if the starters can hide how bad it is and AA can upgrade it before the trade deadline, they have a shot.Unlike Lind...who reminded me too much of Hinske...one good year, lots of promise and now, having been placed on outright waivers... long gone

You forget to mention that those cheap goods also cost Canadians good paying jobs which leads to higher unemployment... and as a result, drives down wages in other sectors. You know what else is here and is a reality because of failed economic policies such as the corporate utopia you're preaching.... Maple Spring. Get used to it too. Civil wars have been fought over this before...history will repeat itself. -

Rick replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What by having the very experts who Harper hired to study this agree with Mulcair? The only ones looking foolish in this are Harper and his minions. -
Well said.

Kind of ironic isn't it how you're advocating the enforcement of this law where people who might not want to be identified as protesters by say.....their employers or fellow workers...cannot have some veil of secrecy but you oppose open votes...Seems rather hypocritical.... This law is just another step on the road to the fascist tyrannical governments we used to fight wars to defeat... -

Pure right wing corporate bullshit. Just how do you expect a blue collar'd worker to survive in your new 'utopia' where jobs are scarce...You do realise that there will be more unemployed or under employed in that corporate 'nirvana' you're dreaming of creating. -
Canada suffers from Dutch Disease
Rick replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No it's not, there's simply not enough jobs involved in design as opposed to manufacturing. -
4 wins in a row...quick, everybody jump back on the bandwagon...... Morrow's starting to prove he has the proper mental toolbox to match the very talented tools he has. Keep Lind down in Vegas, this Gomes kid is showing albeit short term that he can handle major league pitching and provide the Jays with backup at 3 infield positions unlike Lind.

Of which none will be affordable for many with the continued loss of good paying manufacturing jobs..Service based economies only survive when there's good paying manufacturing jobs to help support the need for those service jobs. People only use services when they can afford them. Not to mention the decline in good paying manufacturing jobs also means less tax revenue... I'm not sure how you could see this as being good for normal everyday working Canadians... -
Nope, your continued use of insults has been duly noted and saved for Charles to rule upon
-
Well let's see, in the past 5 minutes you've responded to me with... Now I personally have no objection to your right to do so and support freedom of expression but Charles did issue a warning the other day in a thread where you were an active participant to stop doing it.
-
More insults from you Signals.Cpl?Did you not heed Charles' warning? In an employer chooses to break laws, then they will be opening themselves up to be held accountable as they should. Not to mention, hurting their own business. I doubt many would be so foolish.

Etobicoke Centre By-election (possibly)
Rick replied to Newfoundlander's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
If there is a by-election, as much as I'd like the NDP to win the seat, the Liberals will take the riding handily as folks have seen enough of the real Harper since the election. -
The only ones who would have something to fear from an open, accountable voting procedure...are those who have something to hide... Like those involved in robo-calls, rigging the system to exceed spending limits in the 2006 election, denying any wrongdoing until some of its members entered a guilty plea to lesser charges of violating financing provisions of the Elections Act.

Thankfully your antiquated 18th century views on things are becoming less prevalent.Dinosaurs are extinct...your kind's not far off In the meanwhile, I think Justice Gomery has far more credibility than yourself on what constitutes free expression. And the beat goes on...like I've said it would.. the Occupy Movement, Canadian Spring...growing unrest with neo-cons and their corporate rich mentality...all continues to grow
