  1. rarely do you see the u.s. administration publicly showing frustration and speaking candidly about israel's west bank policies. in an interview with israel's channel 2, kerry did just that: How could Israel credibly claim to be working for peace, he asked, when it kept on building settlements in an area that was going to be Palestine? a valid question that many people ask and have wondered why the u.s. administration, for so long, has not. kerry also made it clear that, just like the rest of the international community, it considers the settlements to be illegal: He also said ongoing settlement construction risked creating the sense that Israel was not “serious” about wanting a permanent accord. The US, he stressed, considers “settlements are illegitimate” and believes that “the entire peace process would be easier if these settlements were not taking place.” are we at a crossroad and will we finally see a u.s. administration that is willing to put real pressure on israel to not get in the way of creating a palestinian state, or will the aipac lobbied congress and senate put the pressure on the obama administration to continue the status quo of doing nothing?
  2. they are known as arabs, muslims and palestinians. they are regarded as palestinian citizens of israel. why do you have such a hard time with simple facts? why do you have a need to continuously challenge facts? i'm not sure if this is a problem with your attention span and you have problems with focusing on what you are saying, or you're a troll who tries to derail talking about facts, which show the true side of israel, by contradicting not only facts, but also yourself, and sharing misinformation. this is what you said earlier: you are wrong. non-jewish israelis DO NOT have all the rights israeli jews have. the fact that non-jewish israelis (aka arab israelis, aka palestinian citizens of israel, aka muslim citizens of israel) CAN NOT bring their spouses into israel, while jewish israelis can bring their spouses into israel, shows that you are wrong. this is one of many discriminatory laws. you can see other discriminatory and racist laws in israel here: israeli discriminatory laws
  3. incase you wanted a list of these discriminatory laws (both inside israel and in the occupied territories), you can start here: There are more than 50 Israeli laws that discriminate against Palestinian citizens of Israel in all areas of life, including their rights to political participation, access to land, education, state budget resources, and criminal procedures. israeli discriminatory laws
  4. uhm. arab israelis. whatever you want to call them. despite another attempt at trying to derail the obvious fact still remains that arab/muslim/palestinian israelis are not able to bring in their arab spouses into israel, while jewish israelis are able to bring their jewish spouses into israel. it doesn't matter how long a post you frantically type, and how often you pat yourself on the back, you can't change the fact that israel has different set of rules for its citizens, based on their religious backgrounds.
  5. no. they don't have the same rights. among many other discriminatory laws inside israel, jews have special land rights that palestinians do not. there are countless other laws and you, yourself, gave an example of it and contradicted your above claim that they all have the same rights. a palestinian in israel cannot sponsor to bring his/her spouse into israel, while a jew in israel could. it's very simple and i will repeat again, so there is no misunderstanding what this discriminatory law is: if you're a jewish israeli and want to bring your jewish spouse into the country, you can. if you are a palestinian israeli and want to bring your palestinian spouse into the country, you can't. since there is no 'slow track' process for non-jews, it's disingenuous for you to try to compare the immigration laws with other countries and try to tell everyone they're the same. a japanese citizen can bring their non-japanese spouse into japan. a palestinian israeli cannot bring their non-jew spouse into israel. why? because the israeli immigration and citizenship laws are among many discriminatory and racist laws in israel. you're losing another battle with facts and reality again.
  6. the only way israel can maintain this is by having racist and discriminatory laws and policies. false. neither of those countries have citizenship laws where someone would be unable to bring their non-japanese, non-iranian, non-ukrainian, etc., spouse into the country and sponsor them to become citizens. they all allow citizenship and naturalization of spouses, no matter what their ethnicity or religion is. israel doesn't because israel has racist laws and policies.
  7. i teach my children empathy and sympathy, not the opposite.
  8. i just re-read your comment and noticed that you're wondering about boycotting palestinian arabs. seriously? i find your ideas and whatever point you're trying to make to be incoherent and mostly ridiculous. are palestinians occupying and annexing another people's land for decades? do they have illegal settlements? you remind me of people who blame rape victims for dressing too sexy.
  9. even though i support the group's effort to give a voice to the those who are experiencing injustice, i'm not their spokesman. i'm not here to represent them. i'm here to voice my own opinion on issues. so no, i will not make comments about the group's plans.
  10. this goes back to what i said earlier to dogonporch. our government does not support and make excuses when it comes to those violators. there is no point for me to preach to the choir as i don't think anyone here would disagree about the crap that goes on in those countries. but israel is different. israel is excused and apologized for by our government and posters such as yourself.
  11. is that so? do show where they've claimed to be allies. canada and saudi do quite a bit of trade, but they're not 'allies'. canada does keep hush-hush in regards to saudi's internal policies which, most likely, has to do with the trading it does. there are two major differences between canada-israel relationship and canada-saudi relationship, despite their human rights violations: 1) the harper government goes out of its way to apologize for israel, despite their violations of human rights and international law against those they occupy 2) saudi's policies are internal and inside saudi arabia. they're not engaged in occupying another group of people. my comments about wahabists and their spinoffs, like the taliban, have more to do with their actions around the world. their ideology and actions break human rights laws and international law. an side-note: israel and saudi arabia have become quite chummy and bff's in the middle east. this is mostly to do with their shared interest in iran.
  12. what? you just asked me about why i'm not making posts about saudi arabia and i gave a legitimate answer and then you respond with: "i'm more interested in history ... " blah blah, grand mufti, blah blah. how can one have a debate with you, when you display this type of attention span and go off on tangents like this?
  13. our government doesn't support and excuse saudi arabia and neither do you, american woman and other israeli apologists.
  14. not sure if you are purposely posting misinformation or you made a mistake but i need to correct your misinformation. if you are referring to me, i have never said "zionists should be wiped off the face of the earth". i have said zionism, just like other extreme ideologies like wahabism should be resisted and outlawed. simply because they both have views and engage in actions that are criminal and violate human rights. if you can find a post where i or anyone else have said: "zionists should be wiped off the face of the earth", then post it. thanks.
  15. i don't see this conflict having two sides who should receive equal blame for what has transpired. a balanced and fair conversation does not mean that one must make it sound like each side should be blamed equally. the reality is that the ball is in israel's court and they have the power to change the course, but they refuse to do so. israel is already a state, but a state without defined borders. why? because it refuses to accept the internationally recognized borders while it continues to expand the illegal, jewish-only settlements on palestinian land. those in power in israel are happy with the status quo, because the longer it stalls progress, the more land it can annex. RAMALLAH, West Bank, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Israeli construction in the West Bank increased by 70 percent from January to June compared to the same period in 2012, an anti-settlement advocacy group said. A report released by the group, Peace Now, said more than 340,000 settlers live in the West Bank, more than triple the number who lived there 20 years ago when the 1990s Oslo Accords were signed. link how long must this go on until people stop walking on eggshells when discussing the issue? how much longer will people play the fence sitter and not call the situation what it is, which is colonialism, backed by western governments and partially funded by the western governments? people keep asking the palestinians to put down their arms and protest non-violently, as if this is the reason that there is no progress. well guess what? it's been going on for a while. there are numerous peaceful protests by palestinians all over the west bank, which are met by the aggressive and violent occupation forces. these peaceful protests and israel's response to them happen regularly. link how does it make sense to play the fence sitter when this is going on: there is a plan to remove over 40,000 bedouins in the negev region, in order to take over their land. this is called ethnic cleansing. in the western media and by the fence sitter, it's called the "israeli/palestinian conflict". link the jewish settlers in the west bank are given impunity to do as they please. they burn down olive trees, beat palestinians, steal and kill sheep, throw stone and nothing happens to them while palestinian children are taken into custody in the middle of the night, by the idf, to instill fear into them. they're kept in prison without due process, simply because they're not jewish. link
  16. you are once again misrepresenting and spreading misinformation. can you back up any of your claims or are you just going to throw around irresponsible comments and information then expect people to accept them? it's important for you to be clear on the fact that i'm on this forum due to a personal decision and the time i spend on here is due to my own personal belief that there needs to be a bigger voice for the palestinians. i do not have a strong connection with CJPME. i just receive their occasional emails and agree with most of their viewpoints and believe any group that supports international human rights law should be supported. i should also mention that i never use any of CJPME information in my debates. i do my own research and give my own personal views.
  17. without the UN vote, israel would not have formed. another simple fact you're having a tough time grasping. back to the accusations that you have so far failed to deal with: my group's agenda is not what you just said. you have a bad habit of running your mouth and spreading misinformation. this is a very irresponsible behaviour. you may want to check CJPME.org's mission and beliefs so that you don't continuously repeat mistakes and misrepresent where they stand. tell me if you disagree with any of CJPME's beliefs and values: OUR BELIEFS CJPME evaluates the circumstances and events in the Middle East according to three beliefs: The belief that all positions should respect international law The belief that all parties in a conflict must be held to the same standard The belief that violence is not a solution
  18. you have something against international law? the very same law that allowed the state of israel to be formed? why do you advocate violating international law all the time? my group's agenda is not what you just said. you have a bad habit of running your mouth and spreading misinformation. this is a very irresponsible behaviour. you may want to check CJPME.org's mission and beliefs so that you don't continuously repeat mistakes and misrepresent where they stand. tell me if you disagree with any of CJPME's beliefs and values: OUR BELIEFS CJPME evaluates the circumstances and events in the Middle East according to three beliefs: The belief that all positions should respect international law The belief that all parties in a conflict must be held to the same standard The belief that violence is not a solution
  19. what is my agenda? don't press reply just for the sake of pretending that you still have a point. make your point instead of posting vague and incoherent phrases. do you agree or disagree that it's not a requirement by law to accept israel as a jewish state?
  20. when DOP says "jewish state", he means israel. when he says i want to dismantle the jewish state in any way possible, then he means that i want to dismantle the state of israel. i don't. he is wrong and he keeps repeating that this is my position. therefore, he has been reported for misrepresenting me and trying to defame me.
  21. accepting it as a "jewish state" is not a requirement to accept the state of israel. i find the question to be stupid.
  22. it's well known here by the "folks" that you're quite stubborn when it comes to surrendering to the facts and the truth.
  23. zionism is not a country. zionism is an ideology that should be rejected in my opinion. i feel the same way about wahabism which i believe should be rejected. that doesn't mean that i advocate for dismantling saudi arabia. i have never once said that israel should be dismantled.
  24. you said i want to dismantle israel. when did i or this group ever advocate dismantling israel? one last chance to correct yourself.
