I can't stand dalton, the look of him makes me sick, but I back him here.

The problem is with the city dwellers, the ones that think food comes from a store. lol Stay in your cities and leave us rural people alone to do our jobs, we are the ones that subsibize your way of life. And when you look at the tactics that these people use (lies)don't waste your time with them. PETA actually went out and trap a animal years back very inhumanely to try and make trappers look bad ,but they did it during non trapping time. So they tortured a animal for no reason.

But the question is , is it 1B extra or is most of it in salaries of police and military ,that we would be paying anyways, so what is the real cost?

They is the answer right there,''Especially if there is problems with protesters.'' And thiose protesters are who ,cons . I don't think so, the left should get a handle on it's miltants and allow these meetings to take place and not wreck the place. Harper made a move before something more serious could have happened, that is called leadership, something Mr Chretien did not show during all the scandals his people were involve in.I guess that is the reason the left hates him, they would not know leadership if it hit them in the passport.

Now if we could do something about the elitist attitude at ont hydro , there is some real savings there if you can get some control on the spending. A good friend of mine is a iron worker who help build wolfe island turbines. Paid 38/hr and then over time and they got paid untill they left the island ,so they sit in a bar untill the last ferry leaves and he was saying how the trucks were totally abuse by the workers , brand new trucks done in a very short time. All solar and wind is , is a feel good tactic to keep the loons happy. Eventually when canadians smarten up and put a end to all these scams and get back into nuclear. One small reactor up in the tars sands would be a start, if the greenies are really serious about things.

I was told last year hydro was ordered to dump water on the ottwaw and not m ake power ,becasue we have contracts to buy very expensive wind and solar power. Damn power is cheap and clean ,but oh no we can't use that. Anybody here that think dalton is doing a good job, is someone with no worries. Iggy took a private note from the PM on names for a new GG , so what does iggy do, runs to the media with note in hand and says we should give her a extension, just to try and score some political points and people wonder why harper does not want to share secret info with this guy,can he be trusted with this info or will he use it to score political points even if it cause harm to people that are in these papers?

Come on people ,we owed something like 16B left over from the war and trudeau ran it up to 200b and the last budget mulroney had ,I think showed a small surplus.Chretien knew how to win elections just did not understand running a country. He paid off the debt by down loading, UI fund PS pension fund and never spent a dime on the country. That is like putting every cent on the morgtage and none on the house ,so when the morgtage is paid ,you have to remorgtage to repair everything.

We get what we deserve, you tell the truth in canada and we voters will crucify them at the polls. But what I can't get ,is the people that would change goverment right now after what we've been thru, do people really think iggy or the libs are ready to jump in, not even close IMO. Do we just elect people because they are warm and fuzzy. Most complaints I hear about harper is personality, who cares if he gets the job done. And look at the world ,we have done well, and europe is going down the tubes and yet people say we should be more like them. How many goverments have italy had in the last 10 years ,1 or 2 goverments a year and italy is almost ready to do a greece. People also complain about harper muzzling his people, well guess what the major problem people have with the libs right now is you can't trust what they say and you can blame chretien for allowing his ministers to say anything they wanted knowing he was not going to come thru on thier promises and then the ''red book'' Harper is not a people person, but I think he done a great job and the leaders of the world are taking notice.Till the libs ,get a new leader or the cons change, leave him be.

Small business is going to disappear, because of this . Small business has to now pay the tax up front, not when you sell it. So if you buy something for 100$ you pay the tax on it, if you have to sell it at a lower sale price ,you lose money, if someone steals it you have lost more money.Which measn on 500G's in stock you will need 40 -50 g's of cash flow to pay up front amd most small business's don't have a cash flow like that , it is going to be a killer.
