When it comes to Black Dog and Newbie's fanatical obsession with a civil war in Iraq, I can't help but think of this video of a pro-wrestling fan blubbering "It's still real to me, damnit!"

There are some pro-US/anti-terrorism rallies in the Muslim world: I have also seen pics of numerous protests against terrorism in Iraq from the Iraqi blogs (even Al Jazeera has reported them), but the West's MSM refuses to cover these events because that would make President Bush look good--an absolute no-no in the world of the West's liberal MSM. HOWEVER, when I see reports like this like this, I get discouraged:

Perhaps it is that famous French "nuance" we hear so much about. I had to chuckle when I read about that French girl whining "I risk working for two years for nothing, just to be fired at any moment.” Nothing? Um, are you trying to tell us you wouldn't get a paycheque for those 2 years? Imagine what the French economy would be like if all of that energy spent avoiding actual work at all costs was channeled towards creating new businesses. But socialists (even though ChIraq's govt is incredibly considered "rightwing" in Europe) don't believe in hard work; they want to leech off the taxpayers like the parasites that they are. France's economy (9.8% unemployment rate) won’t stop swirling around the toilet until they either: 1) re-learn the basic principles of capitalism (a dirty word in Europe) or 2) disappear down the toilet. My bet is on #2.

Afghani Consul Ahmed Dahastani is just another Afghan "consul" and the other Afghan "informant" is of limited evidentiary value because we are not given his full name, address, next of kin, height, weight, penis size, etc. Good grief! No wonder the MSM has lost so much credibility! :angry: But they have to dismiss this. Otherwise, how could anyone trust the MSM anymore? They lied. They lied to us. How foolish can you be to immediately deny that Saddam had any links to Al Qaeda? Why couldn't have they held off? Oh right. They didn't hold off because if the public ever found out that Saddam was linked to Al Qaeda (as Judge Harold Baer legally ruled in 2003--a ruling the MSM out a blackout on) that would have aided Bush. Can't have that!

I think it's pretty funny you're using Dear leader to describe Clinton: I stuck that one on you're love for Bush long ago, but then originallity is not your forte, as evidenced by your stale talking points. You're not even worth mocking anymore. Black Dog is claiming that I am the first person who has referred to Clinton as Dear Leader--the same Clinton that the Clintonbots feverishly defended for committing perjury and obstructing justice. Can this guy get any more pathetic? Yes he can. Just take a look at his numerous posts denying that Saddam had any connections to Al Qaeda. Progressive liberals; they're pure comedy gold.

There is absolutely NO COMPARISON. Why do you think the MSM and "progressive artists" constantly mock Christians, but do everything in their power to not mock Islam? Canada's jealousy of the USA is because of the leftwing Liberal Party, the socialist NDP, Canada's hard-left state-run taxpayer-funded CBC, and the hard left Toronto Star. JerrySeinfeld: The Canadian left cannot get over the USA. Every day they are forced to look at the success of the bread basket of capitalism and have to compare it to the collapse of the USSR, the stagnant socialist EU, and Canada's hapless healthcare and larger debt (as a proportion of GDP) compared to the USA. To people like Newbie and Black Dog, great leaders govern by whatever direction the political wind is blowing at the moment. That's why they so greatly admired Dear Leader, who governed by the results of whatever the latest focus group or poll said. Like young children, they demand instant gratification and disdain looking at the big picture. With a constant relentless drumbeat of lies and criticism by the MSM (who don't even pretend to be objective anymore) about Iraq and the economy, Newbie and BD think that Bush should repeal his taxcuts and that he should flee Iraq, like Clinton fled Mogadishu. Remember the situation that brought Clinton's poll numbers to their apex; he branded Lewinsky as a fanatical stalker who wouldn't leave poor wittle Bill alone (which is why he had to have sex with her in the Oval Office and have hours of phone-sex with her). This brought Clinton's polling numbers to a record high, until his DNA was found on Monica's blue dress. Others who think long-term are more concerned with what the President actually does, rather than how it is perceived. Deeply inseucre leftists are more concerned what France and the UN think of them. I had to chuckle at one of BD's polls. It said that Dubya was even more out of touch than the out-of-touch Reagan.

Condi is also a black woman. The chances of her getting the G.O.P nod in this lifetime is zero. Only because she has said numerous times that she will not run. If she did, she would easily win as she is wildly popular among Republicans, plus there would be the added bonus of seeing the Democrat's inherent racism comming full-out for the public to see. She went further than any black woman did in Dear Leader's administration (the highest black in his administration was his secretary...although I understand he did not have oral sex with her).

I don't know about the Winnipeg Sun, although Sun papers are generally noted for being moderate, but 2 Manitoba websites I visit often complain about the Winnipeg Free Press' leftwing bias. Frances Russell appears to be especially despised. It's hard to take you seriously when you admit you think anyone who suggests the CBC is biased to the left is being "tinfoilish". Few leftwingers on this forum defend the CBC as being objective; instead most defend its continued funding--arguing its 'Canadian values' or 'Canadian institution', etc.

For the people who question Canada being in Afghanistan: What kind of message does this send to the Afghani people about Canada? Me thinks he is talking about the wishy-washy Liberals (who never gave a damn about our military) and Jack "let's have a debaate" Layton--seen here with 2 of his "progressive" supporters. What kind of message does this send to the terrorists and Canada's allies? To the rest of the world? That is my idea of 'Canadian values'. Edited to add: August1991 nails it on his post at the bottom of page 3. Bolstering his point was a poll today on CTV; 55% of Canadians support the Canadian mission in Afghanistan. It's only a poll but I think August1991 is right; this mission resonates with your average Canadian. Some seem to forget that 24 Canadians died on 9-11.

I think it's interesting how the right wing are justifying the war despite the lack of WMD and admittedly faulty intelligence using this quote from a woman in Detroit who is the aunt of a man (from the article) who supports it. For the record, no, Fox isn't fair and balanced. If you're going to argue that it is, I'm going to start believing in that "Mind Control ray gun." I don't know what the big deal is if they are related. But I didn't see anything about her being an aunt of this Iraqi. Can you post the exact quote where it says they are blood? As for Fox News, I contend that no other news source on TV offers the diveristy of opinion you get on the FNC. I admit it tilts to the right (more rightwing hosts than leftwing), but their panels are almost always even. It only seems staunch rightwing because all the others are so liberal. Even if you don't have the FNC, you can watch Fox News Sunday on your regular Fox channel on Sunday morning. Chris Wallace (Mike Wallace's son) hosts. He is centre-left and the 4 person panel is 2 righties and 2 lefties. What the hell is wrong with that? Same with Special Report with Brit Hume; two Dems and 2 Repubs, except this time the host [Hume] is conservative. Hannity & Colmes; one conservative and one liberal. I think you just don't like seeing liberals getting embarrassed so often when they have to defend their views. It's not my fault that leftism is based on misinformation.

Stignasty: What's absolutely priceless is you linking to a story from March 18, 2003, a story about a university professor stating he believed that the Iraqi Army would desert. What does that have to do with Betty Dawisha's statement? Fox News is showing an Iraqi who is supportive of Bush and America. That ain't fair and balanced! :angry: Doesn't Fox know that it is a quagmire, a Vietnamese quagmire, and a civil war is happening? A truly fair and balanced news organization would've concentrated on the 30% of Iraqis who did not vote, instead of the 70% (who were obviously tortured into voting/brainwashed by Karl Rove's Mind Control ray gun, etc) who did vote.

Jack Layton: Those "critics" would love to cut and run, inspiring great humiliation on our troops and our country. Many, if not most, of the progressive liberals from the reality-based community are on the side of the radical Islamists.
