Takeanumber if its so hidden why is it that you knows so much about it. If it is true, they certainly aren't hiding it well.

The Green party
-
I would rather have the Liberals get a small majority and the CPC be a strong opposition and have the NDP destroyed and replaced by the Green Party. If its really ment that this country would finally be done with the New Democratic Party.
-
Why would anyone do that takeanumber ? That would be giving what the NDP says credibility. Something they do not have right now. My advice to Harper ignore Layton and the NDP, they are no real threat to him expect in B.C and keep focus on the Liberals and Martin.
-
I don't even think that Comrade Organizer Layton will even win the riding of Toronto-Danforth. The fact is Layton is a bit of a lose canon, but I would perfer for him to stay leader of the NDP that way it will die a quick death. Plus remember the number of votes the partys gets is the amount of money they will have in the next election. The NDP are like children, never take anything they say seriously.
-
Ignore whatever the NDP as to say. That is what most Canadians do anyway. They are a far-left and out of touch third party. Whatever they say should be taken with a grain of salt. For goodness sake this is a party that want to take Canada out of NATO. The party of Bob Rae. Repeal the Clarity Act The party of Tax you to death. They like children. Never take anything they say very seriously.

One of the reason the NDP will never form a governemnt is that they have this view of Republicans in the U.S and seems to not understand that the U.S is a two party state and the parties rotate power in government every few elections. Until the NDP understand that they will always be a far out and marginalized third party. Will Jack Layton be to the NDP what Kim Campbell was the the Progressive Conservatives?

Wow..This is great news for Harper with the Liberals and now the NDP going after him and the CPC its is now clear that Harper is now the man to beat. While the NDP and the Liberals are force to make nasty and American style attacks upon Harper both politically and personally, Harper can campaign as the front-runner always calm and collective and talking about the issues that matter to Canadian....While the Liberals( Martin will be out of the country for most of next week at the G-8 and President Reagan state Funeral) and the NDP are forced make attacks upon Harper and go out message about there own agendas. This means serveral things: 1. The NDP will do worst in the rural areas of Canada. With Layton running on a hard-left agenda and attacking Harper ridings in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario and Nova Scotia will be harder to win. 2. More NDP voters will go to the Green party and Liberal party, espcecially in British Columbia stopping any inroads they might have had in this election. 3. The NDP may risk making inroads in the major cities of Canada. This may even put Laytons bid to win Toronto-Danforth at risk. 4. NDP could actually do worst in this election then what was once believed 4. Harper will be and look like the front-runner throughtout next week and going into the debates. 5. With Martin out of Canada for most of next week look and the Focus being more on Harper and Layton look for Layton to make more silly and foolish statement, such as homelessness and the Clarity Act. With next week virtially being an outweek for Martin because of events such as the G-8 and Reagans state funeral. So the debates will be make or break for each other the three national campaigns. But one things will be for certain Harper will going into as the front-runner and with the big MO. Jack Layton might be to the NDP what Kim Campbell was for the Progressive Conservtives

The Trojans Horse Babs is Paul Martin and the Liberals.
-
Will the Liberals do? How will they react? Whats the next step? Is Canada in for a really mean and all out campaign?
-
and so it begins...

Martin will be out of the country tommrow and most of the news media will be focused on the Flames game Tonight so its will be on Monday when the shit will actually hit the fan. Kinda of like a delayed reaction. The Liberals are going to start to go ape shit and they are going to throw everything they have at Harper and it will get very personal trust me. For the first time in over a decade, the Liberals grip on power is in doubt and they will not take kindly to that. Its going to be like a bunch of Toddlers not getting their way. Watch for the media to go into overdrive to try to drail Harper anyway they can. They have tryed many times before and have failed and they will failed again. Liberals Minister will start to make wild and crazy accusations against Harper and the CPC, look for this to when the platform comes out today. Plus their will be more events like the ones with Judy Srgo and McCullum, plus the Liberals allies gays and abortion groups to try to disrupt the CPC campaign, this will also fail and be seen for what it is. Also watch for the chicken little act to begin. The sky is falling, the sky is falling will start to hit the Liberal campaign. It will no longer be about the Liberal platform and policy, its going to all Harper all the time and its going to get will nasty. Layton is also going to be a target, watch for the Liberals to go after him and NDP voters to try to get them to vote Liberal. The same will be done to Gilles and the Bloc, the Liberals are going to go mad and watch out no one will be speared there madness. The debates are not going to be nice, Martin and Harper will be the main and only events and insuslts are going to fly like crazy. The debates are not going to be a pretty sight, but they will be fun to watch. Another problem for the Liberals is most of next week Martin will be away at the G-8 conference in Georgia from Tuesday till Thursday night and he can not leave early because it will tell every one that things aren't going well at home this will only confuse the Liberal ranks with their Leader away things are going to get messy. Fasten your seatbelts everyone this electon is going to be really really really nasty. Everything and I mean everything is going to be done by the Liberals to stop them from losing and it will be the nastiest and dirtiest election campaign the likes of Canada has never seen. Will it work? I doubt it, it will just prove to everyone that the Liberals are what they thought they were. A tired, old, corrupt, nasty and dishonest party willing to do anything anything to hold on to power. Harper just need to continue what he as done for the last two weeks, stay calm and postive, don't take the medias bait, keep the CPC rank and file in line and keep, don't get to comfortable its going to get really nasty for Harper and his family( yes, I believe the Liberals are desperate enough to hold onto power to attack Harpers Family). Its going to get really really nasty. Watch out. End of Week Two. 2004 Federal election.

Black Dog are you an idiot. The hybrid variety carrys veichles, troops and helicopters for quick land deployment. Instead of having to beg the U.S to carry Canadian troops on their ship to get to some peace mission. Thats why we need them. Replacing the Sea Kings, buying the hybrid carriers, new light tanks, hiring more troops and procuring new heavy-lift aircraft would not make Canada a more militarily aggressive country, but would rather see the country participate in more peace keeping operations where we could be a much more effective partner instead of a drag and a burden to the United States and other NATO countries. Not mentioning the fact we could deploy a whole lot faster. One thing about the NDP when it comes to the military they are completely CLUELESS.

Canadians need to know that the new Cons are just like the old Cons (though conspicuously absent the "Progressive" part of their moniker), the same crooked bunch who wallowed in pork, sold Canadian jobs down the river with free trade, began the process of gutting Canada's social network while fattening up their friends in the private sector. Thats partly true, but I wouldn't put it in the term you put it. There is one really importent part of the Old P.C missing and that is the conservative minded nationalist quebecors now the Bloc. If the Old P.C/Reform/Bloc all became the same party again we would have never had 11 years of Liberal government and this election would already be in the bag. But thanks to Reston Manning, Kim Campbell and Lucien Buchard its taken 11 years for the Conservative brand to be put back togehter again, although without parts of the Bloc.

Stephen Harper plans to outline his Conservative vision of the future this weekend as Paul Martin cruises over the Atlantic on his way to commemorate the past. Martin's political opponents are hoping to capitalize on his extraordinary absence during a tight election campaign. The prime minister flies to France on Saturday for D-Day ceremonies. He's back late Sunday, before jetting to the U.S. on Tuesday for a two-day G-8 meeting in Georgia. That's four crucial days in a 36-day campaign. While Martin plays the role of statesman on the world stage, the Conservatives, NDP and Bloc Quebecois are more than happy to have the spotlight at home

Federal Opinion Polls - Canadawide

The June 4th numbers (polled June 1-3) have: 37% Lib 34% Con 17% NDP 09% BQ 03% Grn The Liberals seems to have stop the bleeding in Quebec, but I think that may be short lived Gilles will go after Martin like never before in the French debate. Harper and Layton will be second thoughts two them. Conservatives support seems to have risen mostly due to the coalition of former P.C and Allience voters determined to ousted the Liberal. NDP is stable going from 16-to 19% in very poll i see, this may be they are doing very well in urban areas of the country. End Of week 2 Election 2004. -
American Republican have been very succesfull in the United States for decades, along with the Conservatives in Britian except in that last few years. Harper will do well to take lessons from them in my opinion.

Harper as done very well so far, he just needs to keep on message and not allow the media to take him of focus. When they ask a question about something like abortion say one thing about it and if they keep asking keep saying the same thing. These stories have turn out to be one or two day headlines and have yet to survive the weekend. The Liberals efforts to trash him have not worked and they will not work again. Unlike Day Harper can handle the media and he himself has not missteped, as long as doesnt misstep the CPC campaign will continue to make progress. Most of this stuff will not last the weekend which is good for Harper, with events such as the CPC platform and the D-day events. The Martin platform seems to have been a floop, recyling the same promises the Liberals have been promising election after election and creating no interest among the average voter. Harper can enter next week with a clean slate and controling the agenda. All he needs to do is keep on message, hammer the Liberals on the mismangement of the government (something he as stop doing as of late)and don't play into the media game. With Martin out of the country this weekend and the CPC platform to be released Harper will be able to control the agenda going into next week. For Harper so far so good. End of week 2 election 2004.

Mpale will you please stop creating so many new topics..its starting to get very excessive. Thank you -
CTV's Canada AM interviewed Paul Martin this morning: Martin scattered It's nice to see their lead story dealing with something other than Stephen Harper's stand on social issues. What struck me about this interview was the following: --Martin is scattered, having trouble keeping a train of thought --Martin is doing his best to change the subject, which irritated the interviewer --Martin does not look prime ministerial; rather he looks desparate I came away from watching this clip with two thoughts. One, Martin is rattled and doesn't handel pressure well. And two, it is apparent the media haven't lost their desire to hamper Martin.

Now the Liberals have gone so far to put gay marriage hecklers at CPC events . They are getting desperate..very desperate. I can't wait till the Debates. Canada deserves better.

Running in Hall she as no chance of winning. In alot of ridings the parties just put up local members who are just to allow the party reach the reguirements to be a national party. i.e NDP running in Wild Rose or CPC in Hamilton Mountain. But it is funny.
