  1. Yeah Why do we have the notwithstanding clause? If we have then we can use it.
  2. I really doubt the Bloc will attack the CPC, they would be no use in that since they only campaign in Quebec. As for the NDP they risk having there supporters go to the Liberals which would leave the NDP worst off then they were before the election. Which would be that bad, I would perfer that then the holding the balance of power.

  4. Caeser leave it to Jew hating commie comandos like you to bring up Israel into something that has nothing to do with either Israel or Iraq. Leave your hate speech out of the Forum you bigot.
  5. Yes, you said that already Ausgust. But what is it do you? What are you trying to say?
  6. The French Debate will be on Monday June 14th and the English Debate will be on Tuesday June 15th. It will be on all the main networks that operate out of canada and cpac
  7. Everyone...I have a feeling that Joe might be either drunk or high. The things he say aren't making a lot of sense to me. Are they to you?
  8. Why are you so interested August? I said Harper has never met with Paul.
  9. Well, I think its close enough to start talking about. The roles are pretty much cast now. Martin- Has screwed up badly, he called an election that he could really lose when he did not need to and i think he now realizes that right now.. He will have to take risks and put himself out there, and mix it up. He will play heavily the management card and stake himself and the party on their fiscal reputation. This will help Harpers quiet statesmen image, but Martin has no choice now but to try and pin Harper down on So-Con issues. Martin's age and speaking ability is a serious liability that most Canadians will be seeing for the first time, under pressure Martin does not speak or think very well. I think he will mostly ignore Layton unless there is an opening, with the exception of an emotional request for a personal apology about the homeless thing, and about CSL. He may try and suggest that Layton doesnt have the morality and reflectiveness to be trusted with the country. Also expect the Clarity Act to come up. Harper- Gets to play the statesman this time. He is in the lead and has the momentum. He needs to seem reasonable and safe. Given his ability to deflect criticisms thus far, and the fact he has an excellent strategy team, I personally doubt he will get pinned down or caught. He is also more experienced at the art of debates. This is not known but Harper was on the debate Team when he was in university. His role is much like Chretein's in the last debates; defer deflect, and slow the pace down. A complete draw is a win for Harper at this point. A knockout will be hand him the election and most likely a majority. He has been so quiet about Liberal corruption and largese of late, I assume he is holding something good, maybe something new his research team dug up, that may be outed at the debate or sometime before. He will look for an opening and maybe pull a Mulroney move, stepping from the podium and saying he had a choice to wait and get to the bottom of the sponsorship or call an early election. Layton- A big chance. A good speaker. Him and Harper should have some great back and forth. He will have to be prepared for Martins tact above, and should have his research working overtime to get anything that will let him jump in on the sponsorship/Lib largese angle when Harper brings it up. I'd consider going back to attacking CSL, with the caveat that the Lib team will have prepared for this. He has some credibility about social issues, but doubt he will pin Harper down either and he he will offend mention the similarities in positions of Martin and Harper. Layton does have a bad sense of timing. He always runs over his time, and it looks amateurish and there sometimes seems to be more fluff then substance to the things he says at times. Ducceppe- His task will be very easy, the french debates are first and look for him and Martin to go at it quite a bit. All he as to do it have a solid debate with is to be expected since it is his third national one and he will comeout of it well still ahead in Quebec. In the English debate look for him to be only a footnote and other attack dog against Martin. Its going to be fun. I can't wait.
  10. No Harper has never met Paul Demarais
  11. joseph13 is a fool pay no attention to him.
  12. Caser, Its either you don't know or you don't wan to know But the ecomonic success is diffrectly linked to the United States those are the facts. Most jobs in this country are in one way or another link to trade with America and the broader is very importent. What do you think would happen if the U.S closed its nothern boarder for serveral days. Do you understand the effect that would have on Canada?
  13. He could be. We will see on June 28th
  14. Thats going a little bit to far. The America of 1980 is not the Canada of today. Harper also does not have the same abilities that Reagan had such as communication and humor. Regan was one of a kinda in what is world politics, he came at the right time for America.
  15. Has predicted the Liberals and Paul Martin are in full panic mood. They have increased the crazy and outlandish statements about Harper Only the Liberals can protect the Charter Only Martin can protect Minorites Note the picture..Martin looks so sad..Whats wrong Paulie things aren't going they way you thought they were? Only Martin can protect Women It may be crazy..But why are the Liberals attacking Haper in Quebec when its the Bloc are there real oppenets there. Talk about a campaign gone overboard as the Liberal campaign in Quebec. They way things are going the only question for the Bloc is are they going to to each 60 ridings on election night. I take great comfort to know that the wheels on this Liberals train are fully off and they have gone completely of focus.
  16. Maple do you think they NDP can overtake the Liberals for 2 second place?
  17. Do people still care what that commie red Buzz Hargrove have to say. I hope not. So it is how I predicted. Harper will be going into the debates the guy with the big mo and Martin and Layton nipping at his heels. Its going to be a good debate, this one will make all the difference in my opinion.
  18. Yeah..Maple what next the Harry Potter Movie Lets get real.
  19. Maple is lying to everyone, unless there are some new poll numbers out that Maple as exclusive knowlege of the CPC is ahead in B.C.
  20. Maple we all know that you are a hack for the NDP, but i never thought you would try to mislead people. What you are saying is very fasle and untrue. Harpers campaign long ago scheculed that trip to British Columbia after the week they spent in Onatrio, it natural for then to go out west. They have events set up already for Monday, I would hardly call it desperate. Go and check the website if you want and stop trying to lie and mislead the people of the blog to achieve some type of partisanship. I seems to me that you and the NDP are the ones who are looking desperate if you feel the need to mislead and not tell the truth.
  21. He was just saying what people already know. That is what politics and running for office is all about. Getting elected. Thompson was just telling the truth.
  22. Wild Rose Conservative MP Myron Thompson said that the party’s more moderate platform does appeal to voters. "For now, we've got to do what we've got to do to get elected," said Thompson.
  23. Takeanumber you sound like a Liberal to me. Were did you get that from the Liberal War rooms, because I know you didn't come up with that yourself.
