  1. Maybe the upward bump for the incumbent comes from the group of people who vigilantly vote, but hate having to do so every 14 months. Iggy has a change in the fall, he just needs to define himself before the Cons rip his tattered image to shreds. Like they did so easily with the uber-malleable Dion.
  2. A massive problem with Israel right now is that fragile coalition in the Knesset. Nety plays to the international community suggesting that hey we might not build anymore illegal settlements, then does an about face back home.
  3. Our health care costs are going to sky-rocket in the coming years. We need to start looking at ways to create a less bureaucratic health care system that cuts down on the fat we have built up around the edges. (Nobody needs this much bureaucratic administration)
  4. A cap and trade or Carbon tax is going to be a part of any future energy, enviro policy in this country. Better get ready for it.
  5. Obama has played on the tremendous support that he garnered during the election to provide some movement to very encompassing and fundamentally pervasive legislation in energy nad health policy. People have started to catch on to this and realize that beyond that professional demeanor lies a man that wants to actually change quite a bit. Maybe not the status quo?
  6. Talk about alienating yourself in Quebec and playing to the fringes of partisanship. Ohhh attacking a party for being for 'pro' pedophile is despicable and unwise. Yeah like the Bloc can't respond to this.
  7. Well in Ontario our energy prices are about to sky-rocket thanks to the GEA plan. Ohh yeahhhhhh!!!!!!
  8. Stop being Blow hard cynics. I will not justify westernized over consumption and our inability to conserve, but less people are dying from preventable diseases today in developing nations than ever before. This is great news, and the unwanted pregnancy joke that's just in bad taste.
  9. I don't think that the environmental movement has gone anywhere if anything its grown. Now environmentalists influence energy, transport, even social law and you think that they aren't mainstream. If Al Gore can win a Nobel peace prize how can global warming not be mainstream. If Ontario pays Suzuki to be in commercials, as he rails against nuclear. i don't think its shrunk its ballooned on our eco-guilt.
  10. Buchanan has always looked at politics beyond a partisan boundary. Instead he comes form a traditional conservative position.
  11. We said that we were going to wait around to find out what Obama was going to do. No that he has made a decision we need to stop dragging our heels and make some fundamental changes to our energy consumption and the way that we look at fossil fuels.
  12. I wouldn't expect it to get any better soon. With a cap and trade program this industry is going to be extremely expensive (like it isn't all ready) to extract oil. Also a lot of opposition is being thrown towards the tar sands already. We will see what happens after Copenhagen. With Harper and Prentice probably nothing.
  13. What is 'gang' sex? Is this sex with a large group of people or sex with gang members? How is this a crime?
  14. Its going to be a while for the NDP to become a viable force in Ontario politics. Its good to get new blood and a new direction for the party though. Nopw it be nice if any of the opposition parties would start taking the Libs to talk on this abomination of an energy plan!!!!
  15. Although Carbon -tax, cap programs are something of a mystery to us right now they will be part of our energy market in a couple of years. Beyond this what we need to talk about is the inability of renewables to make up a significant part of our energy mix and the failure of the Ontario provincial government to look at our energy situation with some pragmatism. No Nuclear but a lot of new natural gas factories. does that make sense?
