  1. hamas is honest and straight forward about what it wants. israel is not. all a person would need to do to know israel's agenda is to look at the increasing of the illegal settlements. the wall that has annexed palestinian land. not to mention the resistance to allowing a palestinian state to form. all of this has been happening for over 40 years. action always speaks louder than words.
  2. there is no question that they've built tunnels to smuggle weapons and other things. do you think hamas would have been able to fight fatah's coup off in the gaza strip if they didn't have their weapons? tunnel making is gaza is a profitable but dangerous business for many gazans. mainly due to the blockades and control of borders by israel where not only weapons but also other things that are needed. they have a hard enough time trying to maintain the infrastructure in the ghettos, where do you think they can get the resources to build bomb shelters? you make it sound like a bomb shelter is something every person must have. also, hamas does not have the luxury of $3billion a year of U.S. taxpayer's money to help its military and infrastructure. going back to your comparison of israel to the nazis and the british to the palestinians; the plan was not to build bomb shelters for the civilians. what they did was, after over a year of planning, start a move to evacuated people to the safe zone areas by mostly trains. that evacuation took many months before the bombing campaign started. it's not the first time you've put your own foot in your mouth. take it like a champ. your raging, emotional and nonsensical comments have increased in the past couple of weeks. maybe instead of just typing whatever that is in your head and then sounding like above, you should do what dancer does when confronted with facts and reality and just run off for a bit, pretending a whole lot of holes in his argument has not been pointed out.
  3. nope. i don't see the quotes you've posted in the link you've given. maybe my find option is not working? zionism is a movement and an ideal. kind of like 'radical islam'. do you want to eradicate radical islam? israel has definitely set a high standard for itself and it wants the world to know that. unfortunately, they break those standards, especially when it comes to the treatment of the palestinians. in this case, they have violated their own court ruling and have taken palestinians as human shields. read more about it in another thread that we had. unfortunately, even if there is an investigation, most of those who commit questionable acts, either have their case dropped or receive a slap on the wrist. like in this case: Abir's case dismissed by Jerusalem Prosecutor By Donna Baranski-Walker - Executive Director, October 29, 2007 05:51 PM In August, the Jerusalem prosecutor dismissed Abir’s case without filing charges, supposedly for lack of evidence – despite 14 witnesses and an independent autopsy. On Oct. 1, 2007 Israeli attorney Michael Sfard, esq., and Israeli human rights group, Yesh Din appealed the Israeli prosecutor’s decision to close the investigation file on death of Abir Aramin. i'm not sure how that is a respond to likud's vote to never allow a palestinian state which confirms that likud does not want a palestinian state just as much as hamas does not want an israeli state. that's reality.
  4. yeah okay. are you pretending that hamas has had the resources to put shelters above the basic necessities of gaza? basic necessities that israel has blockaded and made extremely difficult to go into gaza ever since hamas was elected. i find it satisfying that even you, the spinster, allowed that one slip. i enjoyed watching you compare the nazis attacking civilians to israel attacking the gazans. you went off script. you're babbling and drifting into another one of your meaningless foaming at the mouth drivels.
  5. a suicide bomber kills civilians just like a tank shell kills civilians. same thing. the aushwitz' ghetto uprising against the nazis resulted in many deaths of civilians.
  6. are your quotes from the actual charter or are they commentaries? i can't quite tell as the site seems a little ambiguous about it. the quotes you have posted don't seem to be in this translation of hamas' charter. zionists does not equate to jews. zionism is a movement. there are many jews who are against zionism and the creation of the state of israel and/or its actions against the palestinians. just like how the Israeli army has been found to be guilty of using human shields by its own court. the israeli army has even appealed the ban of using human shields and even though the israeli supreme court denied the appeal, the israeli army has been caught over and over again using human shields. so you see, hamas and the israeli army and those who are pushing for the control of the whole land are not much different when it comes to their main goal. except that hamas is fighting for the occupied and israeli army is fighting for the occupier. it's interesting that you guys don't like to touch the whole likud vote.
  7. hamas is no different than the hardline jews who envision the region to become a 'greater israel'. looks like they're getting their way by expanding the illegal settlements in the palestinian territories and doing everything in their power to not allow a palestinian state. likud's official stance is still "to never allow a palestinian state". so tell me how hamas' policies and actions are different than israel's?
  8. so you're talking about the evacuation that started way before the blitz. an evacuation that was developed in the summer of 1938 and then did not start until a year later. the evacuation started over a year before the blitz, contrary to what you claimed. planning to move hundreds of thousands of people takes lots of planning, time and resources. how much time did hamas have to move the civilians out? did they have access to trains like the british did? where were the people supposed to go exactly? i still enjoyed your comparison of nazi germany attacking britain to israel attacking gaza.
  9. at the risk of you running away again after making a comment; hey dancer, can you give me a link that shows that hamas's official policy is to eradicate the jews, as krustykidd said earlier?
  10. where are the citations of your 'amateurish' proof/comments you made? still waiting for those. contrary to what DoP has claimed, i have never heard of the UK moving its civilians outside of the city while the nazis bombed the cities.
  11. who care if you're ukranian?! DoP and the rest of his chosen people are eternal victims and this gives them carte blanche. criticism and debate over every atrocity is okay unless it is about the chosen people. you dare criticize any policy or action and the ever powerful, anti-semite card is flashed and shouted by the media, politicians and zealots like DoP.
  12. so you are comparing the nazi attacks on the british people to israel's attack on the gazans? an interesting comparison. the nazi's main objective was the demoralization of the british people. sounds a lot like what the IDF was trying to do to the palestinians. can you show me something to back up your claim that the UK moved the civilian population out of the way? besides, of course, using the already available underground tube stations to shelter some of the people?
  13. so i still haven't seen any evidence on how multi-culturalism is so scary and why DoP is so scared.
  14. correct me if i'm wrong, but hamas, with all its faults, does not have an official policy to eradicate all jews (i'm assuming that is who you were referring to). there is evidence and report on both hamas and the IDF using palestinian civilians as human shield. both should be held accountable. as far as who should be investigated closer, neither should get any pass on their activities. both should be investigated fully. krustykidd, do you agree with the UN investigation headed by Justice Goldstone?
  15. cooperating with the UN investigation headed by an experienced and well respected former international prosecutor who investigated former yugoslavia and rwanda and who happens to be jewish? this is the enemy? you are so ridiculous.
  16. a ridiculous argument. how are you going to displace 1.5 million people into the country side for 3 weeks? what's wrong with you? you just keep sinking lower and lower with your outrageous and ridiculous comments.
  17. wrong Rue. maybe you also refuse to see the report that has already been posted. there is evidence that they used it unlawfully.
  18. who is wearing their country's flags? what do you mean by this? give me an example. is there something wrong with keeping a connection to the country and culture you came from? just like how europeans have brought and integrated their own culture into this country, others are also doing the same thing. as long as no one breaks the rules and our constitution, then why do we need to care so much how new immigrants live? putting aside emotions and feelings, all statistics point to new immigrants helping to rejuvenate the canadian economy and society.
  19. our immigration policy is much more rigid than it was when our parents or grandparents moved to this country. it has become much more difficult to immigrate to canada now. what you need to understand is that without immigration, this country would fall apart. especially with the growing number of seniors and the fact that people are having less children.
  20. what are you talking about? of course many divorce right after? is this another Argus "feeling" trying to replace facts? who are you to say how many children people can bring into the country or if the wife was a goat herder? the important part of this whole process is that the Principal Applicant, who can be the husband or the wife are qualified under our immigration rules. the application receives more points if the spouse has a higher education level. wrong again. the sponsor is responsible to provide for the essential needs of the sponsored person(s) for a period of time following the arrival. you've already demonstrated that a lot of your "feelings" are wrong. you've allowed your bigotry to take over you. so your problem is 'heavy accents'? i doubt you've gone through many public housing projects. i recommend you do some research about these situations before looking within yourself to come up with information. you don't seem to really know the true facts of the situation and instead you've allowed your bigotry to take over your thoughts on new immigrants.
  21. this is your evidence? you have the nerve to call the 71 page report full of real evidence as "amateurish"? you should try avoiding looking like DoP. you've shown a video from who knows when and where with no write-ups. what happened to IDF's statements and video footage that they have of their targets? if the IDF saw fighters hijacking ambulances, they would also have videos of it. you've also linked to an article that gets a statement from a person who may or may not exist and who, apparently, is a Fatah supporter. we know how much fatah and hamas love each other and we know that fatah already tried a coup in gaza and failed. what about your claim that the 43 people killed outside of the UN compound were militants? where is the evidence?
  22. i'm sure there is a group of fundamentalist muslims who would like to see canada's laws changed into the laws they want to follow, but that will never happen. we have a fairly large muslim population in canada at the moment and they've been living here without any threats to our system. no one's religion is ever going to trump canada's law. stop living in fear and stop promoting fear. it's unhealthy.
  23. the important thing is that out of the average 250,000 immigrants that become permanent residents every year, 150,000 of them are under the economic class. if a principal applicant is qualified, then his/her spouse and dependent are also qualified and should be qualified to immigrate to canada. furthermore, if someone wants to sponsor their spouse/parents/children from another country, they must meet minimum requirements like make certain amount of money and definitely not be on social assistance. not sure where you're getting 86,000 from, but in 2008, out of the 250,000 of those who became permanent residents, 21,000 of them were refugees. source you have any statistics to back up this comment or are you expressing feelings that are untrue?
  24. either get rid of all religious courts (that would be my choice) or allow all of them to operate as long as they do not break any canadian laws.
