  1. they remind me of some orthodox jewish groups and some christian groups and how they treat their women.
  2. iranian jews in iran are less discriminated against than the israeli muslims in israel.
  3. wrong.
  4. it seems like i'm as obsessed about the region as you are. i like seeing justice. whether it's in canada or in another part of the world. what about you? oh okay.
  5. lol @ 'feeling france again'. 'IT'S LIKE THE HOLOCAUST ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!111' we were due for a 'jews are victims' thread sooner or later. too much attention was going towards israel's war crimes and the 1400 palestinians killed. my canadian friend (atheist) and his jewish girlfriend are living in paris and they love it there. no complaints. no one is trying to drive his girlfriend into the sea.
  6. who is we? are you talking about yourself dismissing the HRW investigation because you felt like it? do you think that "Judge Richard Goldstone, a Jewish South African judge who was the Hague International Court's war crimes prosecutor for Rwanda and Yugoslavia and who will be heading the UN Human Rights Council's latest mission to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes during Operation Cast Lead" is a good thing or a bad thing? do you think he is experienced enough, capable enough and unbiased enough to investigate this issue and come to a fair conclusion?
  7. if he concludes that israel committed war crimes, then "he's not the right choice"? right? aren't you excited that there is an independent research happening by someone with his qualifications? read before pressing send. what about you dancer? are you happy about the investigation? we can finally get to the bottom of all these accusations of war crimes.
  8. this is very interesting. normally, both of you would be all over any news in regards to the israeli/palestinian issue, however, in regards to the war crimes investigation, both of you have gone silent. are you two going to weigh in on this issue or are you waiting for the official PR statement from the IDF/CAMERA?
  9. i mean, a fair and independent investigation other than the one done by HRW. what says you two?
  10. odd. neither of you seem to be welcoming this investigation. don't you guys want a fair and independent investigation?
  11. the body count was not much different than what the IDF gave out. the dispute was more over who was a combatant and who was a civilian. IDF took it upon itself to include all those who work for hamas as being combatant or militants. however, that's another issue. back to the topic: after looking at the background of the people who were selected to investigate the war crimes, i feel that they will do their best to do their job and a fair conclusion will be made. that's unless, of course, if hamas or the IDF do not cooperate fully with the investigation. in which, i'm sure, they will make a note of it. how do you two feel about the people selected?
  12. why are you a whiner? i didn't think it was important to paste the whole article. this is why i provided the link for you to check the whole article for yourself.
  13. i guess it is for reuters and haaretz to mention where this guy is from and i'm sure you would be howling with discontent if this guy was from a muslim country.
  14. UN picks South African Jew to head Gaza war crimes inquiry Richard Goldstone, a South African Jewish judge, will head an international fact-finding mission into allegations of war crimes by Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants in Gaza, the United Nations said on Friday. The former war crimes prosecutor will head a four-member team whose mandate stems from a resolution adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council at a special session on January 12. "It is in the interest of all Palestinians and Israelis that the allegations of war crimes and serious human rights violations related to the recent conflict on all sides be investigated," Goldstone said in a statement. Goldstone served as chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. Goldstone will investigate conduct by both sides in Israel's 22-day offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. According to a Palestinian rights group, 1,417 people including 926 civilians were killed in the fighting.
  15. who cares what he said. politicians say a lot of things. while U.S. tells israel to freeze its settlement activities, israel continues to build them and the U.S. continues to send them military aid. actions speak louder than words. while medvedev talks about iran's clarity, he is also sending supplies and technology to build iran's nuclear technology.
  16. that made me lol. have a good weekend.
  17. i wish we would go back to it, but DoP and Dancer like to smear and lie about people and they think they can just get away with it. do they think this is foxnews and they're hannity and o'reilly?
  18. it backfired and it backfired bad. the amount of attention galloway and his speech received is a big slap in the face of people like kenney and the twerp from JDL who took credit for banning galloway. galloway ended up giving his speech via webcast and more people watched and listened than they would have if kenney had not banned him from entering canada. by the way, here are the speeches; The Metropolitan United Church, Toronto March 30, 2009 part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 British MP George Galloway Address to University of Toronto (Mississauga) March 31, 2009 video
  19. re-offend? the case was dismissed. he was not charged. he is not guilty of being a child molester. what part of that do you not understand?
  20. some acknowledge and accept when they make a mistake and some reply with a crazy laugh. http://www.fearthegooberzilla.com/pics/crazy_laugh2.JPG
  21. he stood in front of a judge and the judge dismissed the case. you think he would not be arrested and charged if he was guilty? get real.
  22. what? is that your way of acknowledging that scott ritter's case was dismissed? thanx for coming out. both you and DoP.
  23. laugh all you want, but this is how investigations happen. the investigators were able to investigate their findings after the incidents were reported. during the attacks, israel did not allow the media or the organizations to be present. i'm glad to see that you're learning something new every day. you think that they had investigators present in the concentration camps or gas chambers when they were being used by the nazis? are you still laughing?
