  1. Yes I heard that the low quality of the government dope makes it undesirable. Also the government has had problems collecting payment for its dope that one person owes the government $4200. which he doesn't believe he should have to pay. http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5hJ24bU8vGSV_rije4xMncH-Gxq0g
  2. Strange I wasnt send that Angus Reid survey. Since Campbell has become leader I've been voting Green we will have to see who's leader next election before I weigh in.
  3. All I know is my life was hell for 4 months after a false positive mammogram done in my 40's when the breast tissue is too dense to get a good picture. I wish I never had it done! Now if mammogram don't do much for people in there 40's and you insist they should have them done maybe you want everyone to have mammograms. Why not 30 year olds my niece in-law has breast cancer she's only 34 or maybe man need mammograms too as the drummer from KISS has breast cancer. If I use your logic if there is a chance of cancer than mammogram! http://ap.thecabin.net/pstories/entertainment/20091118/521799699.shtml
  4. It's not inconsequiential if you have a false positive and they have to redo it twice, then the ultrasound then they wanted to do a biopsy. I told them I had enough of their science as I don't have and breast cancer in my family and none of the risk factors. So they decided I needed mammograms every 6 months, I told them to forget that too once every two years is more than enough. I guess this study says about the same thing.
  5. The truth is radiation is a risk factor for breast cancer and mammograms produce radiation.
  6. As a woman who as had the runaround of a false positive mammogram I totally understand this decision! But this Margaret Wente article hits the nail on the head too "Does cancer screening do harm?": http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/opinions/does-cancer-screening-do-harm/article1368759/
  7. I lived it too the main difference is in the 60's & 70's you didn't live on credit. In fact I didn't know of anyone with a credit card. Even your house you had a downpayment of 20- 25% which kept prices lower.
  8. Lou Dobbs, the CNN anchor who drew controversy with his coverage of illegal immigrants and questions about President Barack Obama’s citizenship, left the cable-news network after 27 years. Dobbs, whose ratings declined after the 2008 presidential race, announced his departure on last night’s show. John King will host a daily political program at 7 p.m., CNN said today. Dobbs, 64, said he will weigh options and continue to discuss immigration, the economy and the middle class. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601088&sid=a4PEHSSqdurA
  9. You need to move to BC we are enjoying our Nov 11 Stat holiday! Remembrance Day is a statutory holiday in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. In Manitoba, an "Official day of Observance", not a statutory holiday. In Nova Scotia, not a statutory holiday in that employers have the option of giving Remembrance Day or an alternate day off. Not a statutory holiday in Ontario or Quebec.
