No offence but I kind of snickered at the term natural born? That is a very general term. And when it comes to the education system, when you think about it, it is propaganda fully supported by the mass media. The answer is simple as to why most aboriginal people don't vote as told to me by a friend. Because every government--whether right or left--it's always the same "old BS!" The constitution and the jurisdictional conflicts always has been and always will be a burden and an expense. I for one believe that Charlottetown may have passed if it was broken into a yes ot no for each question. Instead Mulroney tried to get a single yes or no answer, for several major questions which was mistake. SO he almost did something good but failed miserabley. Someone also mentioned that Quebec was forced into BNA? That's exactly what happened to the natives. The natives had nothing to do with the Indian Act, yet you have arses in our society who give indians crap over something designed by whiteman. Some people in Canada need to give their so-called intellectual heads a shake including politicians. Furthermore, the natives played a key role as allies to the Brits during that time. SOmething that history fails to tell! Yes cranky arses, aboriginal people played a key role in the building of this nation! Yes cranky arses, aboriginal people helped your ancestors get here so they can get all the free land they wanted, and force aboriginal people onto reserves. Then the ancestors raped their women, molested their children, comiited acts of arson and murder, squatted on the land, comiited acts of terrorism etc etc, Then history tells everyone else that they did the indians one big favor. That's the problem--history is one "great big lie."

I knew several Aboriginal War Vets --now passed on--and they didn't get the same benefits as non-aboriginal veterans when they returned back to civilian life. And these men fought for the freedom of all the whiners in our society today--like keng and DogonPorch --hear that? They fought for their freedom to whine about the indians all the other things they can take for granted in Canada

One things that is rarely acknowledged is the Navajo Language and the Code-Talkers. If it wasn't for those indians who knows what would've happened. ABoriginal Veterans like all veterans were proud to have went overseas and fight for the freedom of all the people in Canada like some of the dim-wit rightwingers who despise natives

I just read an article yesterday about Revenue Canada Agent making remarks about an Inuit artist. That is exactly what I mean--you can try and combat bullying in school but its meaningless when you have government officials acting like the school yard bully. I mean seriously--these people are suppose to be grown up. THATS WHATS WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETY! There kids will see this--and others and they'll just continue the childish cycle of the right wing mentality

Some people never see that it is they themselves and their attitude that is the real problem. When you think about it--attitude alone has probably wasted billions of dollars in this country and probably the USA as well--some so-called grown men will just never grow up

What I find interesting is that for years society has been saying all sorts of things about aboriginals--poorly educated, can't write, subject to employment equitty--yada yada yada etc--but it is the same in mainstream society and has been so for years. There are people in the mainstream that't can't write worth a crap. Some departments, corpoartions, etc, have people who are hired to write. Then there re those people who are in positions that who knows how da hell, or what the hell thet're doing there as they haven't got a clue
