LOL, now where dragging up votes from 2003? Wow the pool must be empty. That bill would prevent anyone from printing anything that says they don't support homosexuality. It limits freedom of speech which is wrong. Not only that but it would have blocked the ability to report the amount of STD's the gay community as whole suffer from in comparison to the rest of normal society.

jdobbin never gives up with his line of our PM Stephan Harper calling an election. Mr. Harper can rule as if he has a majority. The Liberals are going to vote with them or abstain which gives Mr. Harper and the CPC a defacto majority. The Liberals are nearly bankrupt and still have a leadership review under way. Mr. Dion still has an outstanding debt from 2006. The Liberals cannot even afford the leadership race never mind an election. There is no need for the PM to call an election. He can do as he likes right now and he knows it.

Just the once today, never posted there before. One guy said that I post with a tough guy in your face swagger...lol.

I was no where close to as abrasive as I am here. I merely disagreed with them very politely and they all called me a troll because I disagreed with them...I thought it was funny as hell. Anyone else ever post there?

Toronto gun violence leaves two dead
Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Hah. Thanks for the reply. Your answer makes sense to me, which is naturally the most important thing. I wasn't sure if you'd answer me since I'm truthfully an idiot...hehe. Thanks again. -
I'd like to see her in Indian Affairs. To perhaps give First nation people some faith.

At this point Obama can do anything he wants ad still win. -
Chretien is against abortion and gay marriage privately as a Catholic but has said that a PM must sometimes put aside his personal beliefs for the betterment of the country.

Can you please answer the question I really want to know. M.Dancer. Do you really believe that if something, not this necessarily, isn't on the news that that means it isn't true? Seems a little naive to me for someone as smart as you. I know that you only say this because it is an instant win button to any argument. EDIT- If I am mistaken please tell me why you always do it. Say "cite" or anything else along those lines. -
Evangelical Christians are not Fundamental Christians like in the US. Many people think that the are one and the same. They aren't evil or anything. Evangelicals are just a branch of Protestantism. No big deal. EDIT- Any true Christian group is pro life and against gay marriage and the rest of it. These groups just hijack a sect of Christianity and scripture to meet their needs.

West Hill Warriors is offensive?
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Kitch, knock it off, lol. These overly sensitive teachers must feel some white liberal guilt about their ancestors oppressing these poor natives, why else would they care? You're right it is without a p, my mother went there, back in the 60's. I don't label everything I disagree with as liberal, give me a break Kitch, lol. It make Canadians as a whole look like overly sensitive babies who need a grief counselor cause we scraped our knee. Drives me crazy. I'm fairly liberal as well. Ok maybe not. I enjoy your posts Kitch. -

Isn't it time to slow down immigration?
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Agreed. I was just illustrating that when people say union they automatically assume one supports a left wing party. As a union is pretty much like communism, well it is. One worker is the same as another worker and all that and worth no less. I do believe that labour unions are important and play their part. -

Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's 30 million dollars since 2006, not a year. I'm with guyser on this one. Even of it's Layton, the PM is our leader and needs to be protected at all costs. I'd take a bullet for our PM no matter who is in office. -

Many of them vote for the NDP because they "think" that the NDP stands up for the working man but really they just think their pay cheques will get bigger...lol. They don't get the point of who is going to end up paying for all these programs the NDP keep harping about. They claim the rich will pay but how many "rich" are really out there? Less than 5% of the population. How many working class people are their? Over 80%, you think that they'll scrap enough off of 5% of the population to pay for 100% of the programs? I don't. The working people will end up footing the bill, we'll be no further ahead but have more taxes to show for it. That's what they always forget to tell you. -

Mr.Canada replied to wulf42's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
wulf42, don't play their game. This is what they want. To get a rise out of you. If you notice I'm usually trying to get a rise out of them by saying inflammatory things that are sure to get a reaction. Take it for what it is, entertainment. Don't get me wrong there are people here who will engage in useful conversation from all stripes. M.Dancer and jdobbin come to mind. As these two are definitely more left leaning then we are but they will add something useful when properly motivated. They pretty much see me as an idiot, which I'm not but hey, look at what I've been giving them to work with..hahaha. I'd most likely think me an idiot too if I read what I typed from their side if the fence. Try to stay smart and keep it context. This forum is run out of the UoA political Science dept. This is probably an ongoing pet project of theirs and is bound to get some more left wing answers than others. Many of the profs nowadays have more socialist leanings than in the past but most people here are fairly bright. Try not to get caught up in the inflammatory stuff, hey I do too. Nobodies perfect -
He was on 1010 am today from 4-5 pm. He had some reasonable things to say for sure. I view him a little differently than I used to. For instance I didn't know that he made his empire himself with no help from his pops. It was interesting. I called in and got to ask him a question, I doubt I'll get the chance again. Did anyone else catch it?
