  1. I knew Cheney was behind this somehow... and Rumpsfeld. I heard that they own the company that makes the Tamiflu vaccine. I bet they want to inject it into everyones veins, to turn us into mindless zombie neocons. Of course, at least half the population doesn't need that shot.
  2. Today- Gates got a hostile reception from several lawmakers over the idea of sending any high-security Guantanamo detainees to the U.S. mainland and the defense chief said he anticipated strong opposition to such a move. "I fully expect to have 535 pieces of legislation before this is over saying: 'Not in my district. Not in my state.' And we'll just have to deal with that when the time comes," Gates told the Senate Appropriations Committee. "The president has made the decision to close Guantanamo. It's something that his predecessor should have done, something that I said should be done over a year ago," said Gates, who was also President George W. Bush's defense chief. The cases of all 241 detainees held at Guantanamo are being reviewed and Gates expected 50-100 inmates would not go to other countries, be tried or released. In preparation for this, Gates said the defense department had asked for $50 million "as a hedge" to allow building to begin to accommodate those detainees. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/090430/...bama_guantanamo ---- Maybe they could build a new prison, on the island of Madagascar... some other guys thought it was a good solution once
  3. You punks all need to be told to shut up. But some will not listen, and need to learn a little respect by the use of force. Thats human nature applied
  4. Correct, the government only funds clinical operations and some capital. Never enough money for capital of course, but then if there was more money the overpaid momma's boys who run the place would have a field day.
  5. All hospitals are governed by a board of directors, and registered as corporate entities. That is the business model, whether publicly funded or not.
  6. If you actually worked in a union you would know they do not make guidelines for expectation of performance. Most certainly not in the context of what happened to the bus driver. Those are decisions made by HR. And based on the large number of posts you make throughout the day (every one of them a gem) I truly doubt you have a job.
  7. 10 to 1 you have never worked for a union, or have a job at all.
  8. In Egypt, all pigs ordered slaughtered http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/200...30/1915246.aspx http://msnbcmedia1.msn.com/j/MSNBC/Compone...0a.grid-4x3.jpg Yet according to the Interactive World Map of Swine Flu, Egypt has no cases of swine flu. Seems the real pigs, have yet to be slaughtered
  9. Right there. He lost his job, before it even went to court. Guilty by innuendo. And I say, those hospital employees were thinking exactly the same thing. Now you explain to me how you've missed it
  10. It's the corporate system. Behold the fascia, fascismo, fascism. People are afraid to do anything outside of what they've been told by their rulers. Especially the puritanical, self-rightous zombies. I bet there's a lot of them in Saskatchewan
  11. New health threat system was slow to alert "Scores were dead before authorities were fully aware of swine flu outbreak" According to their Interactive Map of swine flu cases worldwide- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30485593/ Eight deaths in Mexico One death in the United States There are some cases of infection in a few other countries, no additional death reports. And yet in the United States, over 100 schools have been closed out of fear of the swine flu!- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30489075/ “There was two kids,” he said as he bounced up and down with nervous energy. “There is one who sits next to me. His name is Jesus and he got sent home. He had a bad cough and he had a fever.” Someone explain to me how this level of fear is justified- beyond its psychological impact on the American public. Namely, inspiring distrust of the Latino population.
  12. Our troops fight the wars to allow this crime to continue.
  13. I think the computer is the drug of choice for children today, that makes them lose all interest in the real world. Lets prohibit their use of computers. Not joking here
  14. Maybe not if your "high", I suppose. Are you now advocating that all philosphers should be put in jail, for their own good?
  15. Sure, as though you know better than top legal experts in the US or Canada. Hey Mr. Superiority complex, if they have a case, let them bring it forward. But they did not. They have no case. The rest is just your "beliefs", which are useless to anyone else.
  16. There might be evidence, but if there was, why didn't they finish the job??? Because something is wrong, obviously. Theres no reason why the authorities would embarass themselves or arouse public suspicion if their motives were clean. I say they don't have a case, and neither does Canada if he comes back. And they know this, so they don't want him to come back. Hows that for justice
  17. Not in my view. A prison is a place that you want to get out of, but cannot. You can think about freedom and willpower as much as you want, anywhere.
  18. Yeah your a funny boy, aint ya
  19. RIGHT... law comes first. and as I said, if the laws are inadequate, there are options for dealing with that ahead of time. Maybe too late now. Gitmo is a legal grey zone, there doesn't need to be a trial. Thats what not Gitmo is all about. Hence the reason they can be held indefinitely, and never come before a judge. If the case proceeds, under which countries law? If by military tribunal, does that make him a prisoner of war?
  20. It was not your ideas I referred to. I meant the "silly" ones. But whatever makes their day
  21. Yet it is one that people willingly accept, not forced upon them. Some prefer it.
  22. As much as some of you spout off irrelevant ideas about what should be done with him, the politicos cannot easily do what is not allowed by law. But they have the ability to make new laws, and change existing ones so that they will have better options when dealing with cases like this. It appears that they do not have any interest in it, or they don't think that far ahead. I expect he will return, be set free and will sue the government and win a huge cash settlement.
  23. Or this one- Oil slips under $49 on swine flu worries So there is a benefit to the industry and consumer with this. Is this some new form of economic stimulus? Call it "Obamanomics". Anything to get them to buy, buy, buy. Buy and be safe, from the terror
  24. Its not a conspiracy theory, its about hysteria. A conspiracy theory is- "You want to see how to get a wall built?"
  25. How about justice, where jail is for people who are actually dangerous. Is that a concept in your philosophy?
