because the leader of the party has to be in the house of commons, not the senate. That would make a requirement for a new leader, unless she quit being a senator. thats how it works.

I am hearing on CTV Newsnet that liberals are starting to come out and demanding dion to quit now and not later. As well as a leadership race sooner rather then later.

I support it only for the reason dion will make Elizabeth May part of the senate thus forcing a leadership race in the green party.

I support this coalition so they can put elizabeth may into the senate so the green party can have a leadership race for a new leader. The Green party needs a leader thats not running around saying I endorse or support stephon dion during an election. That severely hurt the party.

The part about taking power without being elected. This is part of the westminister system of gov't like it or not.

the GST cut was a bad idea as it only helped rich people and those with good enough credit to get a new car. 1 million dollar house at 7% GST was 70k in GST taxes. at 5% it was 50k in GST taxes. that saved some rich person 20k. Tell me this, how many of you will pay 20k in GST this year?? yes for 15k car there was savings of $300. However if you bought a fuel efficient car you did not pay most of those taxes. Fact is the avg person would have benefited more by having a 3% tax cut on low and middle income taxes. and a 1.5% income tax cut on upper income tax brackets. when people have more money initially in their pocket they will spend more. Also will have the money to pay their debts off.

I agree 100% with that. It would have allowed them to actually get the message out, for example put Jack in charge until, the next liberal leader is chosen.

Honestly, I will answer this with a yes, absolutely. Canadians should show their support for this or against this. Canadians should get involved. 59.1% of the people voted in the last election. People should get involved in politics not only during an election, but all the time.

well the GG is going to be watching harper on TV tonight. If Harper lies to the canadian people, it won't help his case when he talks to the GG about suspending parliament or anything else. She will let the vote happen on monday and let the cards lie. You see if he lies it will prove the case for the coalition that Harper can not stand up and tell the truth to the public. If he lies his goose is cooked.
