  1. The only way I can see a Liberal majority is if the youth vote comes out big time.
  2. The 'shy tory' effect - people are reluctant to admit to pollsters they support conservatives The efficiency of the Conservative vote The fact that a lot of young people (Trudeau's base) don't vote
  3. Maybe Charles is checking with legal....
  4. Yup. not over yet.
  5. And he voted with the Communists.
  6. Andrew Coyne's prediction: (he just resigned as Editor of Editorials at the National Post) per a tweet: Finally, my prediction: Airheads 143 Fascists 116 Commies 71 Traitors 5 Ewoks 2 Unabombers 1 (#rathagainstthemachine - oh let me dream…). Knowing Coyne, I assume he means Libertarians when he says Unabombers but idk.
  7. Come talk to me again when he talks about creating a hotline just to report something that panders to native stereotypes.
  8. And won't it be great to finally have a PM who tells them they're wrong instead of pandering to them.
  9. Did I complain that I didn't get everything I want?
  10. We got a government most people didn't want. A government that didn't even bother to try representing most of the people. You can believe that old "you get out of it what you put into it" crap but the reality speaks for itself.
  11. And now we all watch from a distance....
  12. Well, this is his revenge.
  13. He got kicked out of the Conservative caucus, didn't he?
  14. I dunno - Trudeau went after Harper pretty hard - remember the "That's disgusting!!"
  15. He's covering his bases. As I said earlier, we've all agreed anything could happen. And something will.
  16. Nothing wrong with the policy. People need to care enough to make them follow through.
  17. If people want to join the Greens, I think that's great. But I don't want to change with the Green Party stands for.
  18. I think they committed to an all party process - which seems like a good thing. I can't imagine the other 2 parties agreeing to AV because it will benefit the Liberals. However, I can imagine a bunfest which will drag the whole process into the weeds. I think STV would be a good compromise but after watching what happened provincially, I'm not getting my hopes up to much. I think chances would be better if Liberals have a minority. Then maybe STV can be a compromise position between MMP and AV.
  19. I've never been Orange. I don't have anything against Orange - I just don't necessarily agree with their approach to some issues.
  20. I'm Green. And I don't want to be part of the NDP. Maybe you can start your own party.
  21. This is not gonna happen and if it did, half the Greens would abandon this new party.
  22. It's a higher priority too - IMO.
  23. That's a different can of worms. Rural areas are over-represented compared to urban areas. They would argue otherwise. Nothing's perfect.
