  1. I'm not arguing with you about today's result. Seattle deserved to win. I just don't feel they should have been there. Maybe Carolina could have beaten NO in a one game showdown if they were given the chance. But they never got the chance because their record was even more inferior than Seattle's.
  2. 1988 - SF finished 10-6 - tied for third best record in NFC. (deserved to make playoffs/top 6) 2001 - NE finished 11-5 - second best record in AFC (deserved to make playoffs/top 6) 2010 - Seattle finished 7-9 - eighth best record in NFC (don't deserve playoffs, not top 6)
  3. What are the owners planning? Other than the proposed 18 game schedule? I'm not up to date on those things. Fill me in.
  4. Did those teams not deserve to be in the playoffs? Was there always 2 teams with better records than the teams you mentioned? Why should a team be rewarded for finishing with 3 fewer wins? Obviously, Seattle didn't have to play their best to get invited to the party. You claim TB and NYG had their chances and failed. Seattle didn't have to worry about winning at least 9 games. They got rewarded for playing in the league's weakest division. The playoffs are a new season. Seattle has a chance to win the SB. Hell, maybe Dallas would have beaten the Saints too. But they'll never get the chance this year because the had a poor record in a division with 2 good teams, unlike seattle.
  5. Then the regular season is meaningless. The Seahawks benefit by playing in a weak division. I never liked the NFL playoff system, well before this season. This year just exposed the league's flaw. And yes, the Seahawks can go on to win the SB, all because a playoff system rewarded them for a mediocre season.
  6. The Bucs and Giants had chances to win, yes, but they had 3 more wins than the seahawks. I want to see the best teams in the playoffs, not flukes of a weak division.
  7. The Seahawks got it done, no question. They got in by a flawed playoff system and played a good game today. As for the strike next year, Jack, you have to look at the bright side.... hundreds of fewer charter flights means less CO2...which should mean a pause for global warming.
  8. A 7 win team should never get in ahead of a 10 win team. Divisions in pro sports cheapen the regular season.
  9. The playoffs are what matters. I'm sure the Bucs and Giants feel slighted, as they should.
  10. That is 100% correct. People like wyly/waldo need an internet forum to pretend to be big shots because normal society laughs at their insecurities in person. I've shown how waldo spends all day and all night on this forum posting his massive BS while belittling others to little avail. Calling waldo insecure is putting it VERY mildly. I feel a little sorry for him to tell you the truth. just a little.
  11. How far can the 7-9 Seahawks go? The NFL needs to expand by two more teams. Each conference will have 17 teams. Each team in the conference plays every other team for a total of 16 games. Every team plays the same schedule. No divisions. Top 8 teams in each conference make the playoffs. Time to call Roger G. so that he can make this official. Go Colts!!!
  12. That run by Marshawn Lynch may go down as one of the greatest in NFL history. WOW!!
  13. The Rose Bowl was an excellent game. Yes, Wisconsin was a very good team. Imagine a playoff where now we could see TCU play Stanford. Let's be honest, the Orange and Fiesta Bowls were duds. An 8 team playoff with TCU, Wisconsin, Stanford, Oregon, Auburn, Oklahoma, Boise, and Alabama would have been great. You're right...the bowls are all about money, not about making intriguing match-ups. For the life of me,I cannot understand why TCU is going to go into the Big East.I'm not knocking the Big East at all...For all it's detractors,Big East teams generally do fairly well in bowl games (I happen to like Rutgers,also)...But I cannot see the attraction to a TCU Rutgers matchup for fans of either school..Or a TCU/West Virginia matchup...Or a Louisville/TCU game... Only the Big East would accept them, and now TCU will be in an AQ conference. seeing as Colorado(I believe) is going to go inot the Pac 10 next year..And I keep hearing Nebraska going into the Big 10 next year... Colorado and Utah are going to the now Pac 12. Nebraska is an official member of the Big 10 next year. There will be championship games in both those conferences now. The Big 12 loses their championship game. Would it not be more advantageous for TCU to go into the Big 12 and play a few of the teams they used to have a natural rivalry with in the old Southwest Confwerence?I'm thinking TCU/Texas Tech,TCU/Texas A&M,TCU/Texas is probably a little more interesting than TCU vs South Florida or Syracuse??? For some reason the Big 12 didn't want them regardless of how much sense it makes.
  14. Waldo, I've proven how little you know on numerous occasions. You have become a buffoon. waldo, do you actually have a life outside this forum? Or are you the prototypical "lonesome loser"?
  15. Do you favour a playoff, Jack. I'd love to see TCU tangle with Stanford, but we'll never see it. I would rather have seen Boise play Oklahoma instead of UCONN. That would have been a great storyline. I agree with you on Miss. State even though they cost me a lot of cash when they beat the Gators.
  16. You crack me up, waldo. You have no substance. You're a master at paraphrasing. Time for you to get a life, buddy.
  17. I'm glad I found this old thread. Clearly wyldo got his/her ass handed to him/her.
  18. Time for a playoff!!!!!
  19. Waldo, I was just wondering if your lips move when you type?
  20. Copy and pasters, like wadlo, get lost in thought because it is unfamilir territory.
  21. Don't be so lazy Mike. Read it, then comment. Plenty of good info from that site. Enrich yourself.
  22. Waldo is wrong again. No surprise. Read the great information from this website. Let me guess, waldo's next post will have the word"denier" in it. http://climatescienceamerica.org/
