Elizabeth May's mixed messages

Oh please... They couldn't even convince the Progressive Conservative supporters that they will defend their interests... Or ANY interests other than the West's and Big Oil's... -
Why is Global Warming an Isuue?
PoliticalCitizen replied to lukin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It surely is... FOR THE CONS -
Another step was taken towards the glorious Communist future - US Government is buying 250 Bill worth of the bigget banks' shares: http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/14/markets/ma...sion=2008101410 As I said in my thread in Business & Economy we may be witnessing the end of Capitalism as we know (knew?) it. As the world emerges from the crysis its socio-economic organization may be something much closer to Marxist-Leninist ideals.

Have you asked yourself why NO OTHER PARTY is even considering aligning itslef with the Conservatives? -

Like it or not but both the European race and the Christian religion are already minorities in the big cities. -

This is part of the e-mail message Elisabeth May sent to Green Party's supporters yesterday: "So I am not only urging you to get out and vote Green, I am also asking you to miss no opportunity between now and Tuesday to share our vision with your friends and colleagues. The Green Party has made giant strides in this campaign. Our polling numbers remain strong and there are several ridings where Green candidates have a real chance to break through on Election Day. Every vote makes our party stronger, ensuring that the Green message will continue to be heard loud and clear after the election is over." No word of voting for any other parties. -
Legalize Marijuana and Prostitution

There are 2 main types of drugs: stimulants and suppressors. Stimulans make you high and fast. Suppressors make you high and slow. Neither should be abused as your thoughts either run so fast that you can't keep track of them or are so slow that sometimes you're just empty and not reacting to the world... -
Gun Control Doesn't work...Never did, Never will!

Christianity, for all of its shortcomings, has performed wonders in transforming the mindless, murderous and promiscuous tribes that we were into today's western civilizations. A gun your link to the dark past, where you had to slay to survive. Modern men shouldn't have to kill each other as there are social mechanisms in place to resolve disputes. -

If the kids would really be raised by the state they would not be at a disadvantage. Did you know that most KGB agents were picked from orfanages? -

I don't think the prisons do ANY good other than isolating the criminals for a period of time at an exorbitant cost. There must be a better way, and I don't mean death sentence. -

Well it looks like the markets just had their first major bounce. But some say it's just a bit of sunshine before the tornado... and there will be a crash. -

The calls were to vote for the party that promises to do most for the environment (other then Green) against a party that would to least. Makes perfect sense in every way. -
Well I guess tomorrow night we'll have the REAL numbers - no more guesswork
-
The only party that will NOT LIE to you about their commitment to protect the environment are the Greens.

That's the exact careless Conservative mentality the Greens are there to combat. After all, everything Cons care about is profit, come hell or high water. -

Angus, you may be missing the main point of view on which my suggestion to ban all guns is based. It is the fact that firearms just like anti-personnel grenades, chemical and biological weapons are designed primarily to KILL HUMANS. You can use a hand grenade as paperweight. You can use a rifle as a crutch. But they would be hardly safe in that role and certainly a poor replacement for the real thing. I am NOT suggesting a ban or any limitation on things that COULD kill as it could be virtually anything. -
The really scary thing is that Iceland may be but the first of few or many countries that could go under... Do you think US could ever go bankrupt? Or would they just print more money?
