You sure want to and seem to need to justify tyranny. Hope that word is not to rough for you? You say they are not a lethal weapon - evidently they are in some cases. Saying you could not leave that man alone in an airport in such a state is dodging the issue. No one suggested abandoning this man who was in distress. You fail to have the humanity to understand this was not an aggressive person running about with a snapped off wine bottle ready to gouge out the throat of a baby in a stroller. All I was suggesting was grabbing the man and holding him if all else failed - To blugeon the man with clubs was not suggested either but you did suggest it. You seem to not want to absorb the shame in the fact that the liberal idea of hireing inferour cops is a mistake...you have to face reality. Sometimes the road to hell is paved with good intentions - this could be a prime example of pushing a human being into hell needlessly - you may as well fess up my friend..it was how do they say "a boondoogle" do you understand that word?

Ask and establishe immigrant if they want more immigration and the anwer would be no. What is this thing about filling up the land mass just because we have it--- It's like having a comfortable living room and going out and buying more furniture and cramming the place tight till there is no room to move - what is the point of that - we have just enough - and it is barely managable..why make it more complex just for the sake of forcing them to labour for minimum wage so rich people who could not spend the money they have in ten life times have more wealth - there has to be a purpose for more immigration - I see none - do you? Unless you are wealthy and greedy..I suppose you would want more slaves...but to do what?

All I can say...if there were no tasers available, would the cops have shot the man? Simple question..did it look as if there was no option but to shoot the man dead? That's the only way to judge this thing. I repeat...after seeing the video and I know it is not a full visual but better than none... DID IT APPEAR THAT DEADLY FORCE WAS WARRANTED? or in the alternative - could he have been taken down by hand? And please no more "he had something in his hand - it glistened in the sun like a chrome plated revolver...he appeared to point something...he was about to shoot - I had no choice" to para phrase the usual parroting that is bantered about when an error or intentional act of cruelty is perpetrated by law enforcement...would like to hear someones real and true judgement from what they saw - and forget cop drama TV stuff - If you were a cop - would you have shot him? Yes or no?

Finally got report on the video. My daughter saw the clip. She reads vison well...and tells a good story. Supposedly this man had never flow before. He was coming from Poland to live with his mum. He was absolutely exhausted and confused. Did not speak the language and could not even order a cab to get out of the place. He was a Polish hick who had never been away from home. When the police arrived there was a look of relief on his face as if "Finally some here to help me thank God". Instantly they approached him and after the customary politeness taught in training..began to encircle the man like predators. The man at first briefly comforted by their arrival now panics and feel as if he is under attack. From what I have gathered he had not slept in over 40 hours and had been stranded at this airport for some time...as we all know it is doubtful he would have a weapon after going through security and not having left the property. What took place was rapid..about 30 seconds of action. He was Tasered into oblivion and lay on the floor..then a call went out to tazer again the now prone and totally helpless man. Worst was that one of the officers placed a knee on his throat apply considerable presure.. The discription of the enforcers was that they seemed to be hicks also. Then as the crisis unfolded and they began to realize that something dreadfully serious had just occured - they appeared dumb founded.. So in my over view it is as if some dumb farmer arrives in a big city looking for his mum..and like a fatigued child loses his composure...and some cops arrive who are not intelligent but only the sum of their training - attack the guy like security dogs, they go on auto seeing there is not much else these dullards can do - and they kill a man - out of sheer stupidity. Not even realizing why tasers were implimented to begin with. That they were to be used EXACTLY like guns but with the hope of saving a life. Now I put to you - if they did not have tazers would they have shot the man at that point in time? I would say definitely not! The problem here is training and attitude. It must be explained to these enforcers that the taser is a gun..and not to be used in the place of physical force eg - over powering the man and wrestling him to the ground. This was a crime of convienence..in the instant culture we live in - it was auto-apprehension..which as we can see is not perfected at present. If you do not have or can not have police officers that can handle themselves in a bar fight - then they should not be cops. Size and physical presense and strenght of character use to be a pre-requisite to being a cop..He just looked at you and you were subdued. Now with this crazed affirmitive action and the lowering of height and body mass to please the liberally correct fairness committees that are destroying the fabric of the nation - you hire anyone that comes along - weak - stupid and without judgement - men and woman that are there for only two reasons - being a cop pays money and the work is not strenuous - secondly cowards who cowered in the school yard as kids could now have power - this is unexceptable - a man is dead because of political correctness and so-called fair employment practice - what is next - a person dying in a fire because a 100 female could not remove a person of 160 lbs for a burning building?

Come to think of it...Tasers were devised as a survivable application of deadly force. They were an electronic gun originally to be used in the place of a gun...somehow they have become a toy and cops like testing them out. maybe there is a little sadism going on here.

The whole matter is sad. Seems that the man was unhappy...and snapped - the last thing he expected was to be dead moments later. I am sure no matter how weird he acted if he would have known what was to come - he would have gathered his senses and composure...no one expects to die having a tantrum at the airport...actually a heart breaking occurance - for the man - his relatives and for the poor dumb founded police officers...no one came out on top here...all paniced and all payed dearly...it's tragic for everyone involved. It was a mistake.

Yah he would be a bit to proper to hang with.. There is this techno exec..that just bought the house next door..and he is renoing it plus installing a little music studio...I am still interested in going back to playing and recording - anyway he's a very bright black kid...and he has taken his aging father who is about 6 foor 6 and huge - and put him into a suite on the second floor..the old guy is a charmer - his mistress is 30 and he's pushing 70. .we instantly adored each other and mostly talk about woman...He trusted me very quickly and he is a person that has seen it all - what he saw in me was that I love people...and that I have had my hard knocks also...we would be a holy terror if we went out on the town...so I will just leave that alone.. I have seen the best and the worst...and I can be cut throat and loyal..but at my age loyality is a must...I have a friend.. My youngest son was laughing at me because when the old black dude was carrying a box out to the back.... I imagined that ---"hey this guy is ticklish....so my 17 year old laughed...they said what's dad doing..he said - he's out in the alley tickling that huge old black man" - well it was funny...I am going to enjoy him as a neighbour...and I can tell - we will be protectors of each other...after all - I am no spring chicken and us old guys have to stick together - call it exclusionary ageism..but we have something in common - we have both lived. Plus we are both in the care of our adult children - I am a well preserved and happy 57 year old...don't tell anyone.

I enjoy the black men on my street - one is a white black guy..the other is an older black king of a man - and on occassion a bad boy will come by that they sent to the school of last resort at the end of the street - I looked at the kid the wrong way and he spit on the neighbours fence and threatened my for being cicil and kind to him...they come in all shapes and sizes - the youth with the bitter chip on their shoulder - I am warey off...I remember being told by this old black lady " My grand children will become your worst nightmare" Jeeez...I never had slaves..nor did my grandfather - well actually he did - white ones.

I like the idea of being in love and raising children..if that is no longer the normal state- then bring it back.....you know as I watch the fine fathers come up the street with their kids on their sholders - as happy as heaven can be - and know that there is a woman tagging along - or at work or at home cooking...or vise versa ---- to tell you the truth..what I see is - that the traditional family is alive and thriving...and maintaining their privacy...maybe that's what happened..to many people got to know your buisness and found weakness and as professional preditors attacked the family and destroyed the stupid ones...so what - there are still many fine families and it delights me to see such bliss.

OK - so the two guys from Nigeria are just hustlers who found out that we were more protective of our weath than expected and we are not as stupid as they assumed...couldn't we just stroke the poor guys and tell them they are great and it is a free and open society....please - I promised them they could have your job...come on - help me be a hero for the poor and down trodden of the world..send my your tired and your poor and .......................who wants to be a millionare!??

My mother who always voted conservative in the old days was an immigrant out of the Ukraine...not really a typical one - more like a young war bride for my Russian father...one thing she figured out about the "conservator" party was...they had the ethics and they had the money - she was a smart and prosperous woman.

I am very similar to you in my perception and hard earned awareness...have no use for religion and politics - because both are human constructs of control..yet I do adore nature - and love the idea of God that I have simplified as I matured - to being goodness and the respect of realty which is truth. I used to like checking out the history of words...found it interesting that the original spelling of good was with one O - god...that sort of set me on the right track...goodness..the rest is dellusionary.

Saw a priest officate over a funeral last week. He quoted from Forest Gump..then Seinfelt..what do you expect now adays from people who are conditioned by media? To me conservatism is simplistic. I go to the core of the word. To conserve! To preserve what is time honoured and true..what is good - what is not broken should not be repaired. Those extremist Trotkyite types are a real threat to civilization..all like to play God and all think they can do a better job designing the universe that they in their pea brains see as chaos and not the perfect order that it is - so I guess conservatism is genetic..those that appreciate the best of the natural world and preserve it and those that just can not quite grasp the high concepts involved in being a successful and happy human being.

You ask where the leftist outrage is? Maybe the left no longer exists - maybe it never did. Do you think that the blue collared NDP was really socially minded and existed to assist society and protect the weak..not so - all traditional leftist in Canada were just poor guys who joined unions and wanted to be the guy living in the big house. It was not a spiritual movement, but to the contrary was a self centered materialism....it was always about the money and never about justice.

There are few unions left...I have seen examples of people working for 8 dollars an hour who belong to unions and they pay into them. Seems that the trend is for corporations is to create fiat unions and futher maximize the bottom line. Those ladies that do a lousey job cleaning hospitals are of the traditional union that still exists - we can thank them for the spread of hospital infections that kill thousands every year...what ever happened to people who do a job right?

When a man and a woman mate who are normal - they stay together and raise a family- that is the norm..when abmormal people get together and have children and seperate like rats..that is aberant behaviour and shows lack of love, respect and an original intention of usery..which is not normal----men and woman mating and raising children is normal - not my problem that we live in a sick society...and just because a million flys like poop does not mean that poop is honey.

I don't like Polish people - didn't they go Catholic while the Ukraine went orthodox? I don't care if the schism is 700 years old - a grudge is a grudge...personally - I believe we should wire up all the copper pumbing in Warsaw and send in a billion volts at bath time....so - when do the Poles bath...we have to make sure the energy is not wasted - I am pretty conservative when it comes to conservationism....come on - just a jolt...not for to long... Nationalism means extend family or tribe - country means territory, actual realestate..To ask what is wrong with NATIONALISM ..Is to ask what is wrong with family? I say family is fine. It was funny when they declared that Quebec was a "nation with in a nation" in other words a family within a family..They stopped short of saying a country within a country..that would have been granting real power and real estate...funny - some lawyer sat up all night finding the right wording.. My mother ran a buisness from home..she was always occupied - my dad worked outside the home. We grew up in an area of woods - farms and lakes. We raised ourselves and were always getting into trouble - but never got caught..seeing we operated under heavey cover.. Still - there were two parents in the house...life was richer and better with the two of them...even though my mother once stated that the fact my father died kept the family together..she had horrible judgement. Today it is difficult because both parents are undermined and really do not have authority over their kids - the kids seem to belong to the state these days - When we were caught being deviate and wayward..my dads voice was enough to ensure there was no repeat performance. It was better...and for my kids to have had two parents was also richer...even though we were at odds - two is still better and stronger than one...all the people that were our detractors for us not fomally being wed...are all divorced and all miserable..we survived and we came out in tact as a family and as people..other than problems that originated prior to mating.

Big traditional male bulls should be shocked into submission..there is no place in this highly sophisticated society for males -----I wonder if he was a gay polish guy swinging a pink purse at the cops and screaming like a crazed valley girl who just ran out of valium - if he would have been tased?

Passionate post and I see the point - you will get the pat on the back later. What I find tiresome is the age old abuse of males by their so-called superiours..men who were traditionally pressured in an artificial industrial environment...poor creatures driven to drink and now to cocaine...then he comes home from his miserable job feeling powerless over his users that he takes it out on the female who has been more loyal to the oppressors than to the mate - because the oppressors keep her base and money hungry....that's one small angle..secondly - I stuck it out for 25 years with one person and raised the children - for every step I took - she yanked me back two..all because she was the product of abuse that generated from her drunken cop father...and gambling white trash mother...what's a guy to do when he becomes a father under such conditions - I stuck it out because I believe in family and I live with an inapproprate mate that I finally figured out was mentally ill - like her father and disloyal like her mother.. but....I did my best and did not allow the divorce industry to rape and pillage what was mine - my children...so as an old man - I am ward of my adult daughters and still watch over my youngest son - but for all intent and purpose - I appreciate the care and labour of the mother...and am grateful for her fulfilling her maternal duty..but it was like living alone - with a crazy person - and in todays society I took the brunt because of eccentric intrusive feminism that offered me no care or portection...bitter? a bit...25 years is a substantial sacrafice..but I still love...and my children are free thinkers. I got more enjoyment hanging out with my kids in our wonderful rural setting..poor as a church mouse - but - I lived the beautiful dream that was fatherhood...and dodged the bull that society tryed to toss my way...all is well that ends well - now it is my turn. Did my tour of duty....just like you.
