This is very interesting. I've made mention of a documentary dealing with this subject before, its called "Suicide Killers". They interviewed suicide bombers both in prison in Israel and "in the wild". One question they asked was why? The answer was surprising and shocking. The respondents did not state ideology or revenge as their primary reason for doing this, they said it was because they wanted to get married. Yep, its true. As they explained it, in order to be married they had to own something of substance, or have a dowry.When one considers the economy of Palestine it becomes obvious that for a young man to gain some assets is almost impossible. Likewise for the females dowry, so they become bombers. Now most sane people would ask how blowing ones self up will enable marriage. Well in their view the host of virgins they've been promised will become their brides. The females point of view is that they will be the promised virgins and thus snag some swarthy bomber, one of the favored of Allah. Yep, seems totally absurd, but it was straight from the mouths of the captured bombers themselves. Especially chilling was the interview with the suicide bomber "in the wild". When he stated that he'd be overjoyed to walk into a nursery full of babies and detonate, it made my blood run cold. In his view killing babies would be a great service to Allah. I recommend this movie as a must see for even those with merely a passing interest in such subjects. I can honestly say that its one of the most fascinating movies I've seen in a long time.

Wow, what a sweeping statement! I don't think I'd go so far as to say that. In fact I'd postulate that these people being radio hosts are probably pretty wimpy. Perhaps they were bullied and are now using their public pulpit to inflict their own form of bullying as a form of revenge or vindication. Excellent point, I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. You're right, he was in hospital for eight hours before he came to. I've seen his mother and sister on the news talking about what a loving good father he is, where were they? You would think someone would have asked about the girls. I would think they'd know since he was found in the field between his and his sisters house. They must have noticed the emergency vehicles at least. even if one of his neighbours had found him they would have known he had kids. Thats a very good question.

Actually Melanie I think I'll reserve my compassion for the two little girls who were left in a field to freeze to death, not for him. I do believe that deaf and dumb people (sorry if thats un-PC) have far more demanding requirements when it comes to schooling, as such I don't see a problem with having a school or schools to cater to these very special needs. Well it's certainly a tragic accident. I do find however that your supposition as to the cause of the crash is rather nonesensical and loopy. Accidents do happen, when one is talking military kit these accidents can happen more frequently due to the fact that the equipment sees a high rate of usage. Keep in mind as well that parts do fail from time to time with no warning or apparent reason.
