Radical Islam is Wrecking the World - Or, Why Can't Anyone Tell th
ScottSA replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
"Based on our negative population growth"? What Hindus don't have children? You say you would not agree on your sons marrying Hindu (etc) women but at the same time you say you would not urge your children to discriminate -- bull**it! BTW, What "etc"? He doesn't want his grandkids worshipping cows or painting bulletholes on their foreheads. Got a problem with that? Discrimination is quite normal...why the west is so obsessed with pretending otherwise is quite beyond me. Every Asian and African country makes no bones about discrimination...The Han Chinese are probably almost as bad as the Japanese, but not quite as bad as the Hutu. I think what he means is that he doesn't teach his kids to throw rocks at Hindus, but he doesn't want one in the family because Judaism has a negative growth rate and they don't let cows wander through synagogues. I want my daughter to marry a Scotsman because blonde has been a factor among the girls in my family since photography was invented, and it's damned hard to produce a blonde from the squirtings of a Rastafarian. -
I guessed, Churchill This is your finest hour.

All of this is fine, but fails to address the rather fundamental question of why, if the object of sexual attraction is merely "youth" and not the gender of said youth, pedophiles prefer one or he other gender, and why of those genders, young boys make up 30% of the victims. Your definitions smack of a politically correct grasping at conceptual straws to excuse the grossly disproportionate number of male pedophiles attracted to male boys. 30% is a figure that would be trumpeting from the cliffs as an obvious correlation in any other subject.

How to stop the next Campus Shooting
ScottSA replied to buffycat's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think the catalyst in all these shootings are ...women. How about starting off with separate universities for the babes. Think about it!!! I thought about it. Bad idea. How can professors seduce women if they are in seperate universities? It's obvious that the common demoninator is classrooms. Abolish classrooms and there can be no more classroom shootings. Duh. -
What an emotional thread. Perhaps the Left ought to step back, shake its collective head, realize that the 911 conspiracy, the "Bush lied" meme, the "Impeach Bush" movement, the "illegal war" rant and everything else they have concocted is the product of growing up with a comicbook understanding of how government works. Look guys, I know its not as exciting as believing in SuperSoros vs the Evil Bushitler, but reality does have some cool things going for it, like people not laughing at you and the bumperstickers on your car.

Parts of the Ten Commandments can be justified on the grounds of reason, other parts not. Most notably, the First Commandment is ludicrous. More generally, the notion that a 'Supreme' being gave the laws to Moses is a kind of childish superstition. You don't realize how arrogant this pronouncement by you is, I take it?

Right. This is the usually apology for homosexual pedophilia. The trouble is that if it were true, pedophiles wouldn't distinguish between little boys and little girls as victims, and they do. They have sexual preferences, and, well, a hugely disproportionate number of them are homosexual. It's an unpleasant fact for the pro-homosexual activists to deal with, but there it is.

Russia, NATO, Missle Defence and the CFE
ScottSA replied to marcinmoka's topic in The Rest of the World
A just international order is a great idea. Just like creating a just society. But you can build the justest society in the world, and it will immediately collapse into chaos if there's no police force, and you can build the justest international order in the universe, but if there is no enforcer, it is simply what it has always been: a war of all against all. What you are advocating is the disbanding of the police force on the off chance that all the criminals will become law abiding. What so many leftists don't seem to get is that peace is not an end unto itself to everybody else. They assume that everyone wants peace, and in fact not everyone does. People who like the status quo want peace, but that doesn't mean everybody else does. That was the fatal flaw in Chamberlain's very reasonable worldview: he assumed that just because he wanted peace, so must Hitler want peace. -
There are also homosexual pedophiles in the general population as well, primarily the child molestation type (up to age of consent). In the RC case tho, a great many of the pedophiles also abuse little girls. We may never know the number of homosexuals or pedophiles that have gained ordination within the Catholic church. But as I said in my earlier post, I will exercise my freedom of speech and continue to condemn the organization until major changes are made. Well, if you're going to condemn the Catholic Church for the miniscule percentage of pedophiles in it, shouldn't you condemn homosexuals for the disproportionate number of pedophiles in that "community"?

One not-so-foreseen issue is the inability of a minority government to government using our present electoral system. The pressure is off both the government and the opposition parties to compromise. This is not such a big deal unless the government needs the mobility to act fast, and I don't see any overriding mechanism available to the government in such a case.

If it were, we would see all kinds of studies linking Rastafarian lifestyle with high incidence of lung-cancer. It's kind of hard when Rastas tend to die of gunshot wounds halfway through the studies.

Russia, NATO, Missle Defence and the CFE
ScottSA replied to marcinmoka's topic in The Rest of the World
Things are so simple to the leftist mind. So utterly painfully simple that it hurts to listen to. Yeah, it's just a bunch of big bad warmongers from the evil US starting another big bad war for {insert pet horrible capitalist greed object} and profit. And for the sheer fun of causing mayhem. -
Sure they are... !! Like the injunction in the Koran for men to have dominion over their wives, for example? What nonsense! I guess it's obvious why you cut out the rest of my post: "...Reason is simply a fancy name trotted out of the renaissance to describe the rationalism of Plato. Are you suggesting that something like the ten commandments are unreason?"

Yikes! In a worst case scenario, we can start panicking in about 10 times the amount of time that lies between now and the invention of the wheel! I'll go get rid of that incandescent lightbulb in the kitchen right now! Jeeeezzz, I hope we at least have time to colonize the milky way first.

"A complete and utter fraud designed to fool Canadians"
ScottSA replied to Posit's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Good point. I think this goes to show that the alleged 'anti-Americanism' on the left was never about America, but rather about the particular ideology being exported at any given time. That is to say, the charges of anti-Americanism leveled at the left by the extreme right were often baseless. It was all about idealogy, not nationality. So, during the tenure of Clinton, Alexa's rants about "American style healthcare", developed by Lyndon Johnston, were all about Republicans? Before I can respond, I need you to please quote the allegedly anti-American portions of these alleged 'rants'. Go away. -

Definition of hyperbole:

Written by someone who is obviously ignorant of the biblical tradition, history and human nature, and imbued with the arrogance of youth. Kind of swealian, actually. Especially if one considers that the number of religious books coming out over the last century dwarfs by several orders of magnitude the number printed during the entire previous history of mankind.

What happened to all the anti-Americanism on the left? If Bush interfered with Canadian politics, would everyone be so lackadaisical about it? -
actually, it's about 1.7% of the population in Canada, according to Stats Canada. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the numbers. I suspect it's even less, but fag activists claims are all over the map, so I thought I'd be generous.

I thought you thought homosexuality was just peachy. No pun intended. Yes, there are no doubt homosexual priests in the Catholic church. But I am talking about pedophilia. Huge difference. Odd that homosexuals make up from 1% to 5% or the population, but 33% of the pedophile population, eh wot? I wonder why?

I assume everyone is familiar with the tension in Turkey between secular and Islamic forces over the coming election, and with the Turkish army's threat to interfere on the side of secularization if the Islamists win. On one hand, the Islamists threaten to diminish the seperation between church and state and install an Islamic system, thereby for all intents getting rid of democracy. On the other hand, the Islamists may come to power through democratic means. A point or two here for the kneejerk leftists: A ) Islam is a system that does not, as Christianity does, recognize Caesar and God as seperate entities. Islam sees human society as something to be regulated by religion, hence the fact that "Islamic state" refers to a theocracy and not a government and a church as seperate. B ) A win by the Islamists over the secularists is not merely an election similar to one in the west between the conservatives and the liberals; it is likely to be the precursor to a regime change; as fundamental a shift as that between the Caliphate and Ataturk. It will be as if the Marxist-Leninist Party won a majority in Canada, promising to herald a revolution of the proletariat. What is odd is the EU's position. It claims it is awaiting the outcome of the election as proof that Turkey is a democratic nation worthy of joining the EU. It is also warning the Turkish army to butt out, AND pushing Turkey to demilitarize. In effect then, it is backing the Islamists over the secularists, under the banner of "democracy". This is not a simple "democracy vs militarism" dichotomy. Anyone familiar with Turkish history knows that this tension between secularism and Islam has been going on for over 100 years and is as stark in nature as the dichotomy between capitalism and communism or fascism and democracy was in the west during that period. In a sense, to borrow from Ataturk, it is the tension between European values and Asiatic values, and transcends both politics and religion in Turkey. So who is right? Keeping in mind that Hitler came to power through democratic means, should the army allow an Islamic state to come into power? Does democracy trump secularism even if democracy is threatened? Does democracy really contain the seeds of its own demise?

Up with hints of this sort I will not put.
