But that why we have Universal Health Care. So's everyone, even the poor has access to quality health care.

Yes thats exactly what they will do and it will fail because the refugees will keep coming and the EU won't sink the billions into the camps that will be required. They'll do it for the rich influentials but not for refugees. The refugee's will not remain in the camps because the camps will be dead ends. The camps will be dead-ends because of Europe insistence on accepting a bare minimum of refugees. And so the plan for Greece and Italy to have 'Camps' will fail miserably and the strife will continue.

By disposing of them? -
From the Guardian article linked by Derek 2.0: Build camps in places where they won't be built. Problem solved.

I new a guy who smoked. He advised me to not take up smoking. What a hypocrite! What good advice!

White guy can't get published. Uses Chinese name instead.
Peter F replied to -1=e^ipi's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
The list of things submitted to publishers but not published is as long as my arm - probably much longer. The idea of the OP is they are not published due to racism. I would like to add that the publishing business is well aware of the concept of the nom-de-plume. I suggest that the publisher is well aware of the subject poets real name if only so's they can send the check. -

Publishers, apparently, must publish everything submitted by white males. -
Which is worse? ISIS or Global Warming?
Peter F replied to -1=e^ipi's topic in The Rest of the World
You didn't. You got the hell out. All the poor should fight to the death for causes you approve of - But the rich? Death-fights are unnecessary. -

So white male poets with non-chines names simply cannot get published? -
Uh, Yeah. Totally out to lunch. And No I did not strive to gather up 500k of wealth - because I really could not care less what my net worth is. But thats just me. I also don't think there's a house in this land worth 100k. But hey! You think different - Carry on.
-
Actually I bought a nice small house at 32k. I would not meet your wealth standard and therefore think your standard is out-to-lunch
-
What would be your 'wealth' measurement as an acceptable amount of wealth?

Because its not about the immigrant (outside of does the immigrant have a criminal record) immigration is about those that the immigrant begets. The kids will be paying gst like everyone else and in all likelyhood not sitting in prison and paying income tax to boot. The immigrants grand-kids will be much the same. And thats ALL that matters. Wether they are nice guys or go to church or pick their noses in public doesn't amount to snot where immigration is concerned. Its all about their kids.

So this is why I'll be voting Conservative

Only because you can't yet figure out a way to avoid employee's and the benefits to keep them on. If you could you'd be there with bells on! -

Of course... And in the dead of winter when my house burnt down I really appreciated my neighbour letting me sit in her kitchen, wrap a blanket around me and give me a nice hot cup of tea. I really like that and was grateful for it and that woman can do no wrong in my books. But according to the post I took issue with, I should be thankful that my house burnt down! As one the kids said in the Commission report " I don't see daylight cept on the sabbath. I don't like it here. I'd rather be in the field with the plough" Three cheers for industrialism! -
I understand. You were an economic refugee/migrant from a country where the whole structure was about to collapse on that cultures barbaric practices. Canada went out of its way to take you in. Thats a good thing isn't it?

I hate to be the one to bring up but does it not seem rational to see these Syrian refugee's fleeing before the religious nutbars ? These refugee's are the damn Moderates that all you war-against-terrorists-killthemovertherebeforetheycomehere crowd have been looking for since 2001 for godsake. They're fleeing ISIL! These aren't the religious nutbars. Those guys are remaining behind to build the Caliphate not looking to go serve Big-Macs in Bremen. These people are getting the hell out of there before its too late. And all I can hear is "one is too many" (edited to fix some auto-correct)

http://http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1312764/Britains-child-slaves-New-book-says-misery-helped-forge-Britain.html I know, they weren't of much importance And look at how they benefitted! http://www.bl.uk/collection-items/report-on-child-labour-1842 And none of that was necessary. Without government regulation and oversight the Capitalists would have us all living that way - Hell, what more do the unskilled deserve? -
Flashback - Trudeau Panders To Islamists
Peter F replied to kraychik's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
An assumption that I would dispute - but nevertheless lets assume its true that 92% of Egyptians approve of FGM. Do you suppose their children have a greater or lesser chance of undergoing such mutilation in Egypt ? Would the same rate occur if they were in Canada?- 354 replies

Flashback - Trudeau Panders To Islamists

I feel we should get them over here where the supposed 92% rate of FGM is significantly lower. Are you suggesting they should be left there?- 354 replies

Edit: in reply to Kimmy post 110 But we don't screen anyone else from more, shall I say, 'Argus acceptable' places? Wether they believe or not in gay rights isn't part of the screening process. Why apply some moral standard here but not there? Believing that homosexuality is or should be a crime is not all that unusual in this country right now. Thus court cases and human rights tribunals that don't criminalize thought but do indeed illegal actions. Those things - courts and Law - aren't going away. They may change over time - but then thats politics in a democracy.
-
But Rue! Who ever claimed that immigrants/refugees will get to opt out of the Law? They, and anyone else for that matter, can certainly advocate for the changing of laws can't they? Of course they can. This is a free country. You and me and anyone else can believe whatever the hell we want. Now, criminality! There's something we can screen for - and do and have - screened for. Believe thieves should have their hands cut off? Who gives a shit. Has the applicant actually cut peoples hands off? Now that matters. People believe women should wear chadors? So? Wear a chador and welcome. Oh but you beat your wife for not wearing a chador? Sorry you're out. Criminality is what matters Rue, not thoughts.

But it is titled "Why I would vote green" and the OP then gave reason why they would vote green. Its all very simple really
