SCOOTER bites the big one
Guthrie replied to Guthrie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I am betting that Scooter is counting on a presidential pardon. There are no time restrictions on presidential pardons - certainly poppy bush padoned the guys who could otherwise have testified against him for selling weapons to a terrorist state -
I was alive, well and quite politically conscious in 1972. I had already taken somewhat of an interest in the rights of the disadvantaged to be considered treated successfully and for their life to go on. His resignation from the ticket was hardly voluntary. My recent reading of "Fear and Loathing" has reinforced my memories as being accurate. Can you come up with any response beyond call me a "right wing moron"? I am certainly, definitely not right wing. Were I Canadian I'd probably be with the NDP. don't spit it, dear, simply say it and show it --- later, you can choose for yourself what kind of moron group you'd like to associate with

Remember, they cashiered the General running Walter Reed Army Hospital over that episode. Why not answer th esubstance of my post, or can't you? There was substance in your post??? Guthrie runs off at the mouth. You just say nothing. and this(?) is your addition to the thread? Thomas Eagleton resigned on his own, the shit they gave McGovern was for accepting it. The insults currently being hurled is a fraud. I pointed out the truth and you snipe from the gutter. Now, does everybody have their score cards up to date?

Why don't you try and back up your big accusations with some facts pal. You are a one trick pony. certainly, there is no, trick to telling the truth -- if you can do nothing but whine and bitch because a thread was started from an electronic media event - the live reporting of the guilty verdicts handed down in the Libby case -- and require a URL instead, well, I pity you and your backwardness This URL: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7030600400.html - offers the headline --- Libby Found Guilty in CIA Leak Case is it still just an accusation? even after it's a headline? do you still question the FACT that Libby has been found guilty? how sad to be you -

If those pardons are made while Oval Office impeachments are being considered, when those impeachments are concluded with the removal of Bush and Cheney, any pardon will be vacated, original sentence will be imposed, pending any arrangements to be made with the federal prosecutors office. -

US Covertly Funding Al Qaeda
Guthrie replied to Catchme's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
funny how you never see your own -
of course, you haven't seen anything but a news article --- nor are you an anthropologist -- the fact is, chimps are hunter-gatherers - see, there isn't any organizational level lower than 'hunter-gatherer' -- animals, other than man, are (most of them) hunter-gatherers - very few animals farm, engage in animal husbandry or have energy/matter replicators

no, no, no ... it isn't about bikers using baseball bats on little old librarians --- it's about whether the bikers are smart enough to MAKE a baseball bat and THEN go use it on an old librarian (of course, one never reads about the biker who is brave enough to take on a well read librarian)

US Soldiers Kill Iraqi Children
Guthrie replied to imatitlover's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Sorry guthrie, not a blind ideologue as you can see I posted the actual story in the previous report. ... I see a missed communication here. I didn't mean your entire news report but the entire story of what happened. -
I guess to make weapons, one need only be as smart as neocon war hawks Link

US Soldiers Kill Iraqi Children
Guthrie replied to imatitlover's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Bottom line, Bush/Cheney took America to Iraq by way of fraud and the most despicable all dirty politics -- all the atrocities committed in this war fall, finally, on the heads of the Bush Admin war hawks. Bush/Cheney have lots of lawyers looking to cover their arses ---- what WE need is for them to stand before a judge to answer for these deaths -

US Soldiers Kill Iraqi Children
Guthrie replied to imatitlover's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
if you really want the full story, why do you post up your own, " half assed description from some blind ideologue." why not post up the full story --- there's plenty of blame to go around on this - not the least of which is the matter of international laws governing an occupying army's duty to maintain the safety and security of the indigenous population -
Harper and Bush Should Resist Kyoto Fraud
Guthrie replied to jbg's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Maybe you missed the US Senate's advisory 97-0 vote, in 1997, to suggest that President Clinton not submit Kyoto for ratification. No, there was no such vote. There was a vote but it was before Kyoto had been finalized and your characterization of it's intent is way off base. -
In all of our written history, only one country has ever used nuclear weapons on another. It only happened twice but it was enough. That is, it was enough for all time - nuclear weapons, nuclear batteries and all nuclear industries should be shut down - once and for all, the threat can be eliminated merely by the application of common sense at the international level.
