the Democratic Senate has begun the hearings which the previous Congress, apparently, couldn't be bothered with - tough questions are being asked of the Executive Branch, as they should be and in keeping with a long American tradition of checks and balances --- it is very good to see these checks and balances brought back into American govt. and Canadians are free to send their thanks for our standing up for their rights as human beings Link

My mistake, then. I've only ever heard the word applied to military strongmen seizing power through undemocratic means, and I thought you were implying that the Bush regime is an example of such. -k {will be having coffee with my Junta later.} no, Bush and his cabal are not military strongmen, they are frat boy criminals who only display all the honesty and decency of a bunch of, "military strongmen seizing power through undemocratic means" - militarily, they couldn't plan a successful panty raid

1942Canada was in WWII before America was. They had several million men in Europe. The unfortunate reality is, there weren't a lot of Canadian troops ready to go to the Pacific. America had a population that swelled the ranks incredibly with volunteers, right around Dex 8, 1942. That said, what has any of it to do today or Afganistan. The Buschistas have a relationship with allies not one tenth as cooperative as Roosevelt. It really is Apples and frost bit Oranges.

Link Karl Rove killed John McCain's bid for the nomination in 2000. Using racism, an ugly lie and push polling. (no, I never said he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan) Link -- your original quote Al Gore could have co-sponsored this objection. The election would then be sent to the Senate to make the final choice for the next president. Had he done so, his own vote would have made him president. excuse me if I get bored when handed, over and over, these kind of nonsensical propositions with a demand for some kind of notarized government press release proving my point - was this supposed to mean something? this, of course, is exactly wrong but I didn't comment on it - I just noted it as another pile of dung this list of boring nonsensical claims can go on for a long time - but at some point, I just don't care to reapond anymore --- boycott gasoline - I'll bet you still consider that a legitimate idea - on this one you wanted to tag me for a spelling error --- and even then you didn't repeat the spelling I had used - I mean, this is just pathetic Next, I submit that clown and buffoon are not the kind of nasty epithets that, "sphincterboy," is. so, if you want my info to be carved in granite, you'd better clean up your own act first - if you want to be treated more reasonably, well, you should know what to do

I did some name calling, I'll admit --- but I was responding to the above, which I consider much more insulting than calling someone a clown insulting and dishonest and I've seen way too much of this insulting and dishonest nonsense in the past to just let it slide like I said, give me an honest argument and you'll get one back
-
so, you post an argument in a thread against what you think might have been generally said on some other ethereal plane??? --- hmmmm, seems to me, that is what I called you on -- also it sounds, to me, a lot like prejudice --- why don't you judge the real argument in front of you instead of making one up like that whole, 'bush single handed,' bullroar? and yes, I know what I said about tribute - and no, I never said, the UNITED STATES or GWB personally, recieves tribute, did I? but on that subject of tribute - does anyone recall the first approach the Buschistas made to the Taliban, seeking to put in an oil pipeline and promising, 'Afganistan will be showered in money or showered in bombs' --- sounds like a tribute demand to me there's a good little lad, now run along

Guthrie, I think you missed this post where I stated even though it was obvious, that I wasn't inferring every point I made came from you. But you certainly can't deny it was you who brought up the tribute to the U.S. thing. If you can't admit that then you fibbed when you said given a fair argument( here it is again, you are the one who brought up the U.S. is collecting tribute nonsense) you'd give one back. maybe you missed the post where blackascoal's comment was, "I completely agree." --- he was referring to the post I made about what a screw up Bush is and what high qualities I see in Obama -- none of your insulting lies addressed anyone but me, maybe you need to follow the scroll a little better and further, "tribute to the U.S. thing." - was never proposed by anyone - tribute to the corporate friends of Bush, Yes, to America, NO, is it that you have trouble understanding or that you wallow in cognitive dissonance?

Webster's New Millenniumâ„¢ Dictionary of English - Main Entry: junta2 Part of Speech: n Definition: a closely knit group; clique; also called [junto] Etymology: Latin jungere 'to join'

Ah, it was you that brought up the whole U.S. collecting tribute idea. I misrepresented nothing. Perhaps you need to straighten your memory out. Get a clue, I am not attributing every single description I made in my first post to you, since I included Blacky as well. I usually don't bother arguing with those who are too dogmatic to see anything but their own views, but I do point out hypocrisy when I see it. You certainly misrepresented my post. this: --- for example, is a lie.and this: is another lie and this: yet another -- likewise, I never said (as you claimed) all in all, you lied about everything I said

What I think is that Bill Clinton took the American annual budget from an extreme deficit expense to a surplus - and began paying down the debt --- Shrub took the national debt and spent it up over thirty percent higher in less than 6 years. He has given America more debt and more crooked political deals than any other president in history. You guys can have your own opinions but you can't have your own facts. Deal with it. Clinton had peacetime and falling interest rates. Deal with it. of course, neither of your points is true

straightening you guys out is not backpedalling --- but I'm going to call you every time you misrepresent my previous posts or my stated position - rely on it, I don't give slack to backward looking loud mouths - give me a fair argument and you'll get one back as of yet, you haven't put up a single one
-
this is a misrepresentation of what I have said on both sides of your little circle jerk debate Bush couldn't, 'single handedly,' balance a checkbook. It took a lot of avaricious corporate slugs all surrounding him and kissing his pansy ass, to accomplish ALL of the precipitous drops in America's position, economically, structurally and diplomatically. Nor is a single president going to undo all of them - that national debt is going to be around a lot longer than anyone who, today, walks the face of the Earth. but you clowns can't see a thing except through the filter of extremism -- exactly the kind of misdirected view that created this Iraq quagmire which has cost America so much

The best thing that could happen to this country for the entire 21st century would be if Obama becomes president. I am absolutely convinced. - The guy has a brilliant mind, a winning personality and a phenomenal work ethic. He may be just the leader we need to deal with the stupendous screw ups of the current admin.

The Buschista Junta is not good for the continuation of life on the planet Earth. The Star

VICTORY in Iraq now in sight
Guthrie replied to blackascoal's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
and you don't seem to know the, 'law,' doesn't authorize any of the Buschistas transgressions in Iraq -
Most of the oil produced in the Middle East goes to Asia or Europe, not to the US. Moreover, the Iraqi government will collect royalties on any oil produced. If the US government wanted to invade a country to take its oil, it would make more sense to invade Alberta. ... and none of the current right wing spew defends the above - how predictable!!

These pathetic attacks against Martin Luther King speak volumes about the attackers. Naturally, they cannot honestly detract from his historical significance, his true heroism and brilliance. To paraphrase Kris Kristoferson If you don't like MLK - you can kiss my ass moreover, you are likely a pathetic excuse for a human being
