Valerie Plame was, until her cover was blown by Bob Novak, a covert agent and ran a number of covert operations which were also compromised by Bob Novak and the White House senior staff members who exposed her as an act of political retribution toward her husband. None of the denials of the right wing are true. The treasonous exposing of Valerie Plame as a CIA agent essentially killed America's progress in containing nuclear proliferation, worldwide. Wrong....those of us with experience in covert operations of any kind don't get upset when desk jockeys are "outed", regardless of the president's political party. There is a legal definition of "covert operative", and Ms. Plame's position fails the legal test. Ever been to Langely?
