More on E-health http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...1016?hub=Canada Andrea Horwath has asked Premier Dalton McGuinty to expand audits into Ontario's health agencies to include spot checks on the use of consultants. She has also asked that the province's auditor general examine compensation for senior health care bureaucrats Her suggestion comes days after the Progressive Conservative party asked for an independent public inquiry into the eHealth scandal and weeks after the auditor general filed a damning report on the agency. The report concluded that about $1 billion in taxpayer funds were questionably spent on getting the initiative off the ground. The report also found that eHealth officials avoided the tendering system and instead awarded contracts to Liberal-friendly consultant firms.

Conservative Party Logo on Government cheque

These are the steps that lead to corruption and entitlements. What is disturbing is the speed of which the CPC are falling into these traps. -
I took a look at the LPC trend. It looks BRUTAL!!! One of the more interesting aspects is that the LPC numbers were not bad and then they start to plummet on a number of occassions. Obviously late Aug and Sept being the worst. So what happened. These downward spikes aren't the result of the CPC attack machine. These results are directly related to major policy or major media statements that Ignatieff has made. Thus all these horrific polling numbers and sharp drops are directly related to Ignatieff opening his mouth. Early June the LPC are in Polling Heaven, in Late June, Ignatieff has the failed gunfight at EI corral. Drop in support and then a leveling off. Ignatieff goes into a shell all summer and when he makes his big announcement, it totally backfires. The numbers to rise up, they buckle and collapse and go to the CPC. OUCH!!! Is it fixable??? Harper is still rough around the edges, but experience is proving to be more of an asset then intellectual aloofness and elitist superiority.

Harper Neocons favour ideology instead of data

We don't put our criminals in jail. We don't convict any because in order to get a conviction, you need to have laws to deal with criminal behaviour. It took a country like the US to put Conrad Black in Jail. The convicted fellon better not be allowed to return to Canada. There are entire financial neighbourhoods just reaping with criminal activity. People get stolen and ripped off again and again and nothing happens or changes. -
Conservative Party Logo on Government cheque

All those big cheques are props. And there is a BIG FAT CONSERVATIVE LOGO on the cheque. Apparently, when I first saw this story, I felt it was going nowhere. A one off screwup by some very very very very very stupid staffers. However, the MP darn well knows better too, but I bet he thought, hey, maybe we can get away with this and the public will think it is the Conservative Party that hands out money. (Ironic actually). However, this silly screwup made national coverage and apparently is going over like a bad cheque in the by election in Nova Scotia. Yes people there just tossed out an inept and semi corrupt government and it doesn't bode well for those who want to reclaim the seat as a CPC riding, when the Province just did a major housecleaning to get a breathe of fresh air. If the CPC lose the safe seat in Nova Scotia, it is a foolish price to pay. -
Thank you for bringing us back to polls. One thing I have noticed is that if any polls put the Conservative near majority, they are news, and the other polls released the same day that show CPC strength, but not majority, they aren't news. If anything, other then the lost wolf, I don't believe the CPC are as Poll happy as the LPC or spending anytime reading the polls that are in majority turf. The CPC can't reap the harvest for months to come and there could be many new parasites and bad cheques to hinder progress. However the most damaging thing for the high CPC numbers would be an election... of all ironies.

FYI... http://nobodylikesignatieff.com/ Any ideas who's behind this???

Cheap points that the Liberal party can often score

I think it was clever. -
Yeah but you are hardcore. Apparently many New Democrats appear to think like you as their polling numbers are static. It will take more then words of convienence from the LPC leader to get votes from the New Democrats. But, there is a possibility that the LPC can go after the weaker NDP base in Ontario in order to swing some voters and save a handful of seats while the ship sinks although that didn't work in 2008 or 2006 but had some effect in 2004 and was highly successful in the mid 1990s to 2004. The question is.... did the LPC check out polling data and discover that advocating for the tar sands is unpopular and advocating for clean energy is a popular choice. Because LPC strategy would be to advertise the Green Energy Economy (Sounds like the Ontario New Democrats actually), and then go full tilt boogey in the tar sands...

Reading the article, instead of adopting policy from the Green Party as Dion did, Ignatieff is adopting the green policy of the NDP. This should surprise no one.Ignatieffs problem is his flip flopping. That is problematic when one is unscripted over the longhaul and without a platform or policies, he has to wing it.

Yeah, there's that too....
