Stephen Harper, our Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, will smack these other posers silly. He knows that the liberals are a strong party in eastern canada, but will feel confident against anyone. That is what happens when you are smart and believe in what you propose, you don't worry about the other guy, or gal, you just wait till you know, and then kick dirt in their face.

I live in Alberta, and if the spying buggers in China don't want to buy our natural resources, then they can go fly a kite, cause somebody else will. They need our stuff we don't need them. We can get cheap goods from a number of other poor areas. So Prime Minister Harper can kick the Chinese President right in the family jewels for all I care.

Canadians Against Suicide Bombing
abcon99 replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Call suicide bombing terrorist, why not. We are a rich country not likely to use that tactic. And I really don't give a rats arse about anyone who is not canadian, albertan, and conservative, so what other people think or feel is of no interest to me, besides having a good time when it comes to the chance to argue about what I think. -
I hate criminals, but my mind is made up on this issue. Every single citizen of a country must be able to vote. You lose your freedom when you commit a crime. I would lock most criminals up and throw away the key, and even execute a whole bunch of them, but till they are dead, they get to vote. If you dared to take my vote, even if I did not contribute, because welfare, or jail, or prison, you would not like my reaction. Most of these people on welfare and in prison don't vote anyway. It is not a big deal.

Why are the Conservatives Killing the Wheat Board?
abcon99 replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The points are clear. 1. Forcing anyone to sell to a government mandated monopoly is communist. 2. Wheat and grain are legal products, the stuff you mentioned are not. 3. Polls by that group are not important, federal elections are. 4. Since elections are the only polls that count, even if 100% of farmers demanded no choice, screw them, they don't get to make the law. -

Also, I don't accept polls from the institution that is being discussed. That commie junk is of no importance. -
Why are the Conservatives Killing the Wheat Board?
abcon99 replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Without knowing what the poll was, what the questions were in detail, and who was asked, I don't recognize it. And like I said, I don't care anyway. And selling grain is legal, that other stuff is not. Give your head a shake. -
When you are voting on anything but what the party policy paper says is an issue of conscience, then you either vote yes, abstain, or get out of the party, thats how it works. Chong had to vote yes as a member of cabinet, but could abstain as member of caucus. He made that choice, and it is his right to do so. Prime Minister Harper made his choice, as leader and Prime Minister, and that is the way it goes as well. I agree with Harper, respect Chong, and tell liberals that the difference is no liberal ever gave up a cabinet position on a small item of principle. That is because liberals have no priciples.

Who cares, saying it means nothing and it gets the subject off the table. The Quebecois are a nation, and that is worth some pride, but not a red cent. Prime Minister Harper is correct, and Michael Chong is too prissy about word play.

If Mackenzie King came back alive.....
abcon99 replied to 1967100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
As long as Harper doesn't steal taxpayer money and funnel it to the Conservative party, the liberals should jump in a lake. People who broke the number of promises that liberals did over the past 13 years have no right to even lick Harpers boots. I would vote for Prime Minister Harper in the Majority against any peice of junk leader this country has ever had. Mainly because he is the only truly Conservative Prime Minister we have ever had. -
So who is your pick for the Liberals?
abcon99 replied to Biblio Bibuli's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It is hard to achieve separation. I would not spend time or money on it until it had a least 20-30% hardcore support like in Quebec. Alberta is just too rich and satisfied right now. It will take something like NEP to get 30% to really push separation. It would then have a chance of winning. Not until then. Sorry cause if there was a vote to separate, I would say yes. Even now, that we seem to be making changes on the federal scene. -
Dion won because he was least crap of a bunch of crap candidates. Stelmach won because he is not fake, like lefty Dinning, and he is not far right like Morton. He is hardworking, honest, and Conservative. I liked Morton, but he was not going to win, things are too good in Alberta to rock the boat that much. Stelmach is good and on the right, but not radical as to cause party problem. Dinning is trash and it is great he lost. Besides come from behind, these two stories are completely different.

Who cares, the days of the liberals being able to lie about being either left or right are over. You can be center left, or center right, or do nothing, but you can't be in the center. Dion is on the left, and should help a number of people in the liberal party, or who vote liberal, to leave and join the Conservatives. Also Dion doesn't recognize the fiscal imblance, or the rights of provinces and the juristiction they have in the Constitution. He won't get more seats in Quebec, and he won't thrill people anywhere else, and the eastern media from the press gallery can kiss his arse all they want, it will not make him PM.

abcon99 replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Forcing people to sell to the government monopoly, on penalty of imprisonment is communist and disgusting. I dispute that a majority of farmers don't want choice, but even if that were true, in my mind and in the minds of conservatives, if only one single farmer wants a choice in who he can sell to, then it must be so. -
How soon a federal election? Before June 2007?
abcon99 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I am almost 90% sure that the government will fall on a budget vote, either this spring, or next fall. Depending on if Harper wants it now or in the fall, and what the bloq, and ndp want. My bet would be a late spring election 2007. -
Liberals well positioned for next election
abcon99 replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Polls mean nothing to me, and what journalist have to say is just dirty leftist eatern media biased garbage. 90% of the media are liberal, and the other ten are barely conservatives. It would make my day to spit in the faces of the majority of the press gallery. -
Will Stéphane Dion ever be PM of Canada?
abcon99 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Dion will be back in his leftist ivory tower speaking crap english in no time. -
Too Right! We are not sheep in Alberta. We have no problem slitting the throat of any party, even on the right, that screws with us.
-
Rae lost because he is a socialist, and he screwed up Ontario, and he wouldn't get votes in most of the country. Buttons and other junk are silly and not worth getting worked up about. Alberta just had a one member one vote election of the leader of the Conservatives, and the man who will be premier. Sure, of the 140 000 people who voted, maybe 20 000 were liberals or ndp people trying to choose the leader, but who cares. If you are afraid of letting people join your party, even up to the day of the election of your party leader, then you are gutless and anti democratic.

Anyone not born here in Canada is an immigrant. When they have children the kids are not immigrants. So that explains who immigrants are. The only place liberal won in the last election was in cities with large immigrant pops., or places that the libs usually bribe with federal welfare. Once we get immigrants to move to Alberta and join the Conservatives, they are richer and happier. Now that we are government we can convince them that we are the right party to join, and don't believe the lies liberals tell, join Conservatives and be an equal party in prosperity, or join liberals and be poor and stupid and used only as a club to hit decent Conservatives with.
-
Yes, I meant the House of Commons division, but since both the libs and the old progcons. didn't have one member one vote elections, you are correct.
-
Vision. What a load of crap. If you are a Conservative leader, do what I said to do in party policy. If you lead another party, I think you are junk and don't care what you do cause I want you out. The only vision I care about is a strong canada with a strong military and a small government that wathces its step carefully or it gets a smack.

Any party that allows areas to get less seats than they deserve, while others get more than they deserve, shows they are anti-democratic, and most likely corrupt. Any majority party that doen't fix this ie (give ontario, alberta and bc more seats, and a whole bunch of other provinces less) shows me that the are corrupt. That makes the Liberals, and the Progressive conservatives corrupt. Only the Conservative party of Canada, the ndp, and the Bloc can claim otherwise at this point. They can say they haven't been a majority.
-
Dion is hated in most of franco Quebec, for his clarity act and his refusal to regognize fiscal imbalance. As for voting one way, its because the majority of us are Conservative, and want to get lots of seats, and join up with as many people in the rest of the country who want to crush Toronto and Montreal. You have all the seats in the liberal caucus from both those place already, we can say the same about those people being stupid. But I wonder who more Canadians like, people from Alberta, or from hated Toronto. Maybe you liberals don't know how people feel about Toronto and Montreal, (and Vancouver to a lesser degree) but we have every intention of showing you. And I don't count the welfare area of Maritimes. The good places there go to us. The defeatist go to liberals. And the smart maritimers move to Alberta or BC.

Chrétien to PM: 'Can I call you Steve, like George W.?'
abcon99 replied to comup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Chretien is of no further importance, he is heavily tarnished with sponsorship scandal. Nothing that comes out of his mouth is worthy of notice or mention, but since it has been, I guess we will just have to start calling him ChrENRON! And thats all that need to be said in response to anything he says. Done and finished.
