Ok, I see what you mean. And somehow you figured out I was talking about the Bible, it's that obvious eh? Although I have to say, it's more like a encyclopedia, than a bunch of stories. Also, what did you mean by political umbrella and the man that directed it? Sorry, I know what you meant, but who's political umbrella and man are you refering too?

Obsidian is right. This is exactly what's going on. A lot of you who posted are so scared of the truth, that you deny yourself of it, and shut him down. You live better with the fantasy, what can I say. I've looked into it, researched, and found out for my self everything thats going on. And talked to countless people, who are aware of what's going on. This is a time of the masses waking up. I can write 15,000 words, but my lunch break is almost over. So I'll just leave with some things that can start you off. First off, there are some links I'd like to provide: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-23...99&q=Conspiracy http://youtube.com/watch?v=_yw7zwG3Q48 Secondly, there are some really bright people who are taking on the system themself, and that feel oblidged to reveal the truth: Alex Jones Robert A. Menard Aaron Russo You can watch the video's, and read up on these guys and what they do, but from there you have to look into the facts yourself.

How do you know its a "he"? Is it because it seems so obsessed with matters relating to sex? Hahaha, alright, take it easy blackdog. Call him...I mean, call God whatever you will, he probably doesn't have a gender. But you know, the origin behind refering God as "him" or "he" is partly because back when the Bible was writen, the man was often the head of the house hold, and the writers of the Bible like to view him as the head of his house hold, being his church, or family. And also in the Old Testament, God refers to Isreal as a woman, and God taken Isreal as his wife, for many symbolism. Also when Jesus came into the picture he often refered to God as his father, which was unusual, because you wouldn't refer to God Almighty as your personal Dad, kinda blasphamess, which is one reason why the Pharisees hated him so much. And after Jesus was crucified, it gave us the right to personally ask God to forgive us, instead of going through the rituals, and even allowed us to call him Father as well. I think you missed the entire point of my post. Or you just disagree with me. I do believe there are universal morals, I could try to list them, but there's a whole book writen on it. And it would be a lot easier to understand if it was actually read.

You may not believe in the Universal God, doesn't mean that disproves his existance. Nor can I prove to you right now he exist.

Humans contribute .28% in greenhouse gases
Frankie replied to Leafless's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I never looked into this issue, and I haven't made my mind on what I think is going on, because I'm not just gonna take some scientist word for it. But I can see many possibilities, and one thing i know for sure, is that the earth has had climate change patterns in the past. And this could be one of those things where we have no control. Even if that was the case, the human race still lives very ineffeciently. So even if we have nothing to do with the problem it gives people a very good excuse to start living more effeciently. -
Michael Coren: Homosexuality Not Natural, Not Normal
Frankie replied to August1991's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
But should they have the same rights as the rest of Canadians , the exact same rights? I agree with Mcqueen. It seems like they're trying to convince everyone that homosexuality is normal, just so they don't feel the guilt. I mean, they can deny it's wrong, but when other people keep saying it's wrong, they feel convicted and guilty, and when your innocent, you would have no reason too feel that way. -
Me too. And there was never a more selfish generation than my own--so much so we were even dubbed the ME generation. We invented extreme consumerism and felt entitled to our education and the many jobs that were waiting for us on graduation. Once we started paying taxes, we cut back on education and social programs. And we only dealt with the CPP deficit after we had been paying into it for years and years and were nearing retirement ourselves. We still haven't dealt with the healthcare deficit, so you can be assured when the last of us are dead in 30 years or so, there will be nothing left. Guess how old I am. Hahaha, you sound like about my parents age. And I never really thought as your generation being as selfish as us, but you make a good point. I still think it's getting worse, because even people my parents age would work hard for their money, I mean I couldn't even imagine a person my age working hard labour like construction for less than $20. They'd give all those jobs to the mexicans or the cheap labour, while we'll be begging for food after we get laid off from our law firm, and don't know what a band saw is. Just wanted to point out you mention that "not everyone" in America is a christain fascist. And it's true, there are a lot more anti-americans in america and in Canada, and the "christain fascist" population I think is becoming VERY small than most people think. And people still think that these people make all the rules, while in reality our nations are turning into Godless dictatorship communist nations. Wasn't the competitive nature of our people the driving force that flung the United States and Canada into world Super Powers? What happens when we lose the drive? Our Manufacturing Industry has a hard enough time competing with China, how will it be once the Millenium generation takes over?

You see, this is exactly what I was talking about. Morality is "the right way". If you didn't follow it, doesn't mean you have different morals, you are just unmoral, or committed a unmoral action. If the virgin killer kills virgins, then even if he thinks it's morally right, doesn't mean it is. And he's is wrong. It's not just what he thinks, it is wrong. If he still thinks it's right, then he obviously values that unmoral action.
-
With experiences with society and people around me, I'm starting to think maybe people don't even care about morals anymore. This may seem a little vague, but let me put it this way: Most people would argue their morals against anothers, and it seems one of the people may just be trying to justify their wrong actions and eliminating their guilt by saying it's morally right. When in reality, morals are universal, and values is what this person may be refering too. This seemed to have caused a huge problem in society and law system, because a huge part of law system is based on morals...or at least should be. But it seems they or are moving towards justifying broken morals as freedoms, which in reality our just a certain people's values and not others. Eventually it seems the word "freedom" will replace the word "morals", but they are distinct different things. This is personally what I see is going on, what does everyone else think?
-
I can speak for my own generation. And I can say, they're all messed up, and it's getting worse.

Sexual immorlaity and perversions were also occuring while nations rose, and have no bearing upon the rising and falling of nations, other than the fact sometimes maybe the planning of such occurred in the bedrooms of the world. The Roman Empire did not rise quickly, nor did it fall quickly. Same for the extended "Hebrew" History. The USA Empire, has not yet fallen, and yes, it has had a relatively short shelf life if it were to fall today, or in the near future. but again nothing to do with sexual immorality and sexual perversion You said where a nation is blessed beyond compare, God was left unstated, but present nonetheless, as something was dispensing the blessing. Moreover, your framing it in a sexual moral context re-affirms that you are using your perceptions of "morals" that are derived from a personal determination of the Bible. Again sexial morality, whatever that really is, has nothing to do with either the creation nor decline of an Nation, sex in all its various forms is occurring through out and history. They did rise and fall quickly. Read up on your history. The Jews were expanding like any other nation, but within one generation, they became practically the center of the world. And although they were at war quite a bit, it was in one large swoop that they took Isreal and then again Judeah was taken. And I'll say it again, sexual immorality played a huge part, as it was running rampant during the downfall, much much more so than other nations, that even they godless nations were shocked at how they were acting. And it does have to do with the decline of a nation. It plays a huge part along with other things. People are blind and ignorant if they don't see what immorality does to us! Everywhere you look, there's some sort of sexual inclination. So many shows, billboards, magazines, and easy ways to access porn. And it's impossible to say it doesn't affect you. There is nobody it doesn't affect. And if you still think it doesnt affect you, either your not human, or your a liar. It destroy's marraiges, families, and lives, and that can ruin a country. It's huge. All this stuff about spouses cheating on each other because of their lust for other people and not being satisfied. And being driven towards the life style it offers. And it gets much worse when society embrasses it. Because how will we know it's wrong? And then we will wonder why our nation collapsed.

Sounds like Communism.

Nations are not just blessed beyond compare and elevated to world power in some mysterious way, like by the hand of God, or something. What a simplistic rendition of factors and actions, equalling cause and effect, that is not in anyway accurate. Please feel free to study history, as oppossed to inserting an empty meaningless phrase in place of actual knowledge of actions and events. It is humanities efforts that cause nations both to rise and fall as well as geological events. Lives given, lives lost. Intrigue and manipulation, diplomacy, money, work and labour, actions of murder and theft and war, bring about Nations and those actions equally bring about Nations decline. And it is ALL human actions not some divinely put forth degree, that suddenly just happens, to bring about, or end a nation. A more accuarte but still too simplistic of historical nation decline would be: It is usually when corrupt power is consolidated at the top, with beliefs of divine supremacy, being above all others, that brings about the final nail in the downfall of a nation. The people at the top start failing to realize Nations are not them, nations are the people who comprise the nation and who allow them to rule/govern. But prior to that, it is internal revolt, a turning away from what the nation has become, that weakens the nation from within. It is also, over extended national boundaries, through colonialistic actions that require up keep, that is expensive both in human and monetary capital. Indigenous populations never fully assimulate and look continually for ways to throw off colonial shackles that weaken it externally. Disease, and natural disasters caused by things like; earth quakes and shifts in plate techtonics. Volcanic eruptions leading to climate change causing droughts, flooding and famines. Plus, many other numerous internal/external things that bring about the decline of a nation and it is usually a very long process, not just a bam your done, or your created kinda thing..There is nothing in this world, and it's history, that proves an actual exhibit of instaneous creation or dissolution, other than land mass and peoples wiped out by natural disaster. And please don't be tring to say natural disasters are the hand of God showing displeasure, believing something like that demeans both God and the one who believes it. Like I said in my post, the example I gave of sexual immorality is just one factor in a nations downfall. And there have been many other nations that rose to power through other means, but the three I listed did infact rise very quickly and fall very quickly and have very similar history's. And the moral decline does play a huge part. And I also never mentioned anything about God in my post, it of course is human actions that cause them to be destroyed.

Michael Coren: Homosexuality Not Natural, Not Normal
Frankie replied to August1991's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Just wanted to point out that the description said, "Should he have the right to say that?". And I just wanted to let the starter of the thread and everyone else know, that you all have the right to say anything. Everyone has the right to say ANYTHING they want. Just as you have the right to listen or not. There's no such thing as "Limited Freedom of Speech". If the word "peace" makes me cringe, doesn't mean that the people around me no longer have the right to say it. If a person can say, "Homosexuality is natural" then a person can say it's not natural. Just as someone can say cracker, another can say nigger. And if you preach christianity another can preach islam. And both parties should be protected by the state from any form of persecution. Nothing else matters. -
Who is to blame for the demise of traditional marriage
Frankie replied to Leafless's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Your choice lies in the fact whether you choose that path or don't. Just because somebody or a society of humanity set down a path to follow, doesn't mean your not free by following it. I mean, if to you it seems right, then what's the problem? You gotta make your own path "just because" it makes you feel free? Even though the other path might be better for your situation. But then again, you have to do what works for you. And I'm not sure where I got that quote, but those words are true to me. -
Just to comment on the "homosexuality destroying western society" thing. It's just one factor that will destroy the western society. I mean, it's happened again, and again in the past. Where a nation is blessed beyond compare and is elevated to world power, but they abuse their blessing and whore themselves out to other nations and the "good" things in life, like what feels good and whatnot. And eventually are destroyed. Just look at the Roman Empire, rose to great hieghts but after their moral downfall which included sexual immorality and sexual peversion, they reached rock bottom. Same thing happened to the Jews (or Hebrews)500 years before that. And now it's the United States. "Corporatism" or similar things, were also a big factor in destroying these nations.

Who is to blame for the demise of traditional marriage
Frankie replied to Leafless's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
For once, I'm with you BD. We should all celebrate the decline of "Traditional" marriage which bound parties into rigid roles. "Bound parties into rigid roles" can be translated into, "bound parties into thier duties and responsibilities." Which is what your actually doing when you enter a marraige and which is something modern society can benefit by practicing more. I wouldn't call it "bound" though, because when entering into a marriage willingly you should be expecting to enter into a role. Is that a limitation of freedom? I guess everyone has a different meaning of freedom. Freedom for me is not just "You ought to do what you want to", but "Wanting to do what you ought to". -

There are alot a interesting pionts I would like to comment on, but I'm short on time. But somebody said in the thread that people don't want to sacrifice their own happiness and freedoms for the sake of being married...While that's true for most people, even though it might only be subconcious, I was never able to understand that. I'm only 19 years old, and I've never seen marriage as a scary or bad thing. I've seen countless people who's marraiges have fallen apart, and that mess up. But I figure they're doing it wrong. I know it's not all "fun in the park" and I know they're are lots of sacrifices, but I don't care. I think it's worth it. What would I give up for a happy marraige in the future? Almost anything, besides my core values and morals, I would give almost anything, and I can't wait to be married. If I have to be a stay at home dad, I'll do it. If I have to work 70 hours a week, I'll do it. What I'm living for today is to make sure I get happily married and have a family, nothing else is of higher priority. What's wrong with that? -
Let's not forget what Pope Benidict is...
Frankie replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Seems like corruption worked it's way into the Catholic Church, just like most other Organizations. Surprise to anyone? Of course that's what it's become, an organization. Exist only for it's own profit...for the most part at least. You can have the faith, but you can do with out the organization. What does the Catholic church do as a whole for the faith of it's people, other than tend to the most tedious of situations? -
The solution is simple. There's no conditions, no maybe's, no if's. Person kills another person, we lock them up for the sake of secluding them from society to protect ourselves. It's that simple. Prisons getting conjested? Have them work. Manufacture, mine, anything to contribute, and make money so they don't have to share bunks with Big Joe or whoever is the token rapist in the prison. I don't know why the government finds it so hard to throw a guy in jail for 50 years of his life. Hmm...it's like having slaves...except these one's deserve it.

If anything, the Beatles are under rated. It seems like nobody nowadays appreciates them, unless your over 50.....I think the problem is, for most people at least, is the fact that they don't know the Beatles greatest treasures. They might know songs like, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude, Yesterday, maybe Revolution...And I admit, those songs are a bit over rated. But songs like Glass Onion, While my Guitar Gently Weeps, Martha My Dear, It's All Too Much, are what truley define what the Beatles are. By the way, if you haven't heard any of those songs, either download them, or better yet, buy the albums. Amazing.

Michael Richards, the guy who played Kramer on Seinfeld, said some rasist remarks during one of his comedy acts recently. If you hadn't already heard about this here's the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15816126/ Just wanted to know what people think about this. Personally it frustrates me to insanity the kind of double standards Black people have. They can call whites, orientals, and brown's, anything they want. But as soon as someone says "nigger", they demand apologies, reparations, and respect that they already lost (heckling Michael Richards). They got this guy on his hands and knees begging for forgivness, like he owes them something. It makes me sick. They're over a hundred years past anyone of their ancestors might have been a slave. Any black man can stand on stage and call me a cracker, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. And personally, I don't care. I don't know why these guys give a shit. But since they do, it has to go both ways, otherwise, they're hypocrite's. And even more personally, when black people make cracks at me for "enslaving" them, doesn't make sense. When I wasn't even born in the 1800's, and my grandparents came here from Italy about 50 years ago. And on top on that, a while back, Africans invaded the southern region of Italy and enslaved it for 500 years where my ancestors lived. So technically, I'm the slave! But they don't teach you that in highschool history class. The piont of all this is, Michael Richards got pissed off at some black people in the audience for heckling him, poor babies. Happens all the time. No apology needed.

I don't trust anyone born after the beatles disbanded....... Yah! Beatles Rock! I'm 19, but I wish I was 60, so I could have grown up in the 60's and witness all that amazing 60's stuff, like Beatles, Hippy's, free love...I thought I could find the 60's at a Bob Dylan concert I was at last week, but the world even modernized him! Modern times are depressing...I envy you Frankie - I remember watching a "Hard Days Night" at a drive in movie with my girlfriends, screaming our heads off in the car. I remember having a great big poster of Paul McCartney on my bedroom wall. I remember getting the Beatles Twist & Shout album for my 17th birthday. I remember, I remember. Oh those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end! La La La La... Now you do the math! There are places you remember..... I'm sure you know how the rest of that goes I was never good in Math, but I'll give it a shot...If you were talking about the original Twist And Shout album released in Canada, you should be turning 60 sometime after this upcoming January. But for now your 59 years young.

I agree with Canadian Blue. But I don't see anything wrong with the movie. What kind of hypocrite would you have to be to judge this movie or what these people are doing? They are Zealous, take joy in their faith, and with the people around them. How can someone be brainwashed with what they already believe is true? Can a man be brainwashed into believing that he needs to breathe to live? And who are you to say what is good, and what is right? Doesn't Jesus himself teach about the Zealous without knowledge? They have the Zeal but no knowledge, so their faith is worthless. Jesus says he is truth, so those who are following his teachings, have the knowledge and their Zeal is justified. When in doubt of yours or others actions, judge it according to the honor of God. Aren't they honoring God by giving him the glory that is his? According to their own Bible, there is nothing to judge of them.

Well I guess you just answered one right there. There are some people who seem to think that there should be a transgender washrooms, or uni-sex washrooms. Or uni-sex change rooms for sport teams. And certain places that are gender specific, shouldn't be equalized, like a man working as a salesman at a womans lingerie store. I know most woman wouldn't feel comfortable with that. Also gender transformations, like when a woman desires to be a man biologically, or vice versa... 'Who's Doing What?' makes an excellent piont as well.
