Torybastard election strategy seems to follow this script: Torybastard 1: Why did they vote Liberal? Torybastard 2: Only one possible reason -- they're stupid. Torybastard 3: Well, what should we do about that? Torybastards 1 2 and 3 together: Try to trick them! Yes, because that's exactly how it works. One can only imagine the conversation the Liberals had when they were thinking of the Canadian people while planning the sponsorship.

hmmmm, well i think Stronach may have that charisma. If she was to be leading Canada, and Hillary leading the US. North America would be a good place to observe politically.

Conservative Minority
-
You see, Mackay thought that since Liberals had achieved (minority) government during the election of 2004, by 2008 when the next election would be at hand, the Canadian peopels would be bored of Liberals as they would be have been in power for so long. They would be looking for change. It was then that Mackay would beat Harper into the position of Leader of the Conservative party. I think he would probably be a better PM and have a better shot than Harper. But then again, you never know. Harper may surprise us all. Anyhow, now that a snap election may be called anytime now; that has screwed up Mackay's plan. Therefore, who will be the next Tory leader is a good question.

Mackay would have taken leadership if the liberals finished their position in government in 2008. But now, with the current event at hand, anything goes.

The Real "harper Wins" Post
Mr. Chater replied to MapleLeafMerc's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
heh, i know what you mean. Haper? no. Not me. I am Conservative, but Harper? Not, i'm sorry. I truly think, 99.9% that the conservatives would have been in better off in the hands of Mr. Mackay. But what do i really think? What do we all think? It is time for a new face, and we all know that this would be VERY different if someone like Mike Harris or Bernard Lord took the job (as they are my two favorite people who should of run.) It is them who would lead this party to victory, but Harper. It's time for a new face. -
When Will Liberal Party Cut Martin Loose?
Mr. Chater replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
hmmm, I myself have always been with the PC's or on this case the CPC's and I do wish to have a Tory Minority. I do not think that there will be a coalation between the two parties, they will stay apart BUT one of the two parties will get Minority and it is between Liberals and CPC. If liberals continue to drop even the slightest, the CPC's might have a chance at starting the Era of conservatism. -

Does Music Shape A Person's Values
Mr. Chater replied to Alliance Fanatic's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
A certain type of music puts you into a certain type of mood. If you listen to rock, your in an energetic mood because of the energy from the song transfers into you somewhat and you "feel" the music. You have all this energy and you want to use it. If you listen to Rap then your in a pissy mood thinking your invisible and you talk back to much thinking your everything. Slow songs simply put you into a smooth and romantic mood rdy to impress any girl and just go smoothly. You see where i'm going here? -
Just read it after my post, couldn't agree more.

i don't think that Harper should even bother. I believe that Harper has already killed himself when he was in the Alliance. I believe that if he becomes leader, he will have too much of the Alliance mind with him. Same with Mackay and the conservatives. If this party wants to be anything but successful then you put one of the two former leaders. If you truly want this party to prevail then it is time for a new face. A Lord face.

Conservatives! Is it really a question

Predictions For The New Conservative Party ?
Mr. Chater replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
even that would be an amazing start for the New Conservative Party. To be able to get rid of the Liberal Era and bring us to a New Conservative time is a big change. Espicially if it is a new party just formed before the election. A minority government would be a big step for Canada, and it is about time. -
