  1. I do not think she should quit. Although it doesn't look good at the moment, who knows. I believe anyone but Paul Martin would do good to the Liberals ..well, better...
  2. were you expecting any better from him?
  3. hmmm, this is pretty deep stuff. Though it is kind of siding with the Alliance is anything else. There are points to be made against that, which i will make when i am back from school. No time now to say much, only to say that a minority of that Essay is true..and there is much to talk about and argue.
  4. Well Mackay has recently said there isn't much good going on between the two parties So who knows what is going to happen
  5. hmmm...who knows. Are any of you in CIA or CSIS? I don't think so..so i don't know if we really would know. There are some logical explainations for this...but don't forget these are "secret" services..there very sneeky, sneeky..hahaha
  6. this merger talk is really screwing up everyones idea of what is going on. Especially that last remark linked to the Ottawa news Something is going on..good or bad..who knows. People acually said that they would probably merge by next week between wednesday - friday..but nothing look like it's going to be that soon. Also Springer, although it looks like Ryan is a right wing, if you look at his views and thoughts, they are not that far right as the Alliance is. The alliance is too far right for this guy. That is what i think anyways.
  7. heh...well sure we have it all done and all...13/14 is not bad i tell you. But the biggest problem/conflict of all.... the LEADER. This is the person in which will leader them through victory or failer..who becomes the leader...who knows.
  8. haha..hmmm, now that would be a war..but i don't think Russia will get into a conflict anytime soon with the US of A. And if they do..it will be their worst mistake..
  9. haha, yes. I know we all do. But this was one of the Liberals big promises in 1999. To hold the true definition of Marriage. I know..i know..
  10. Which is why merging the right would be to our benefit, as the peple would finally have someone else other then Martin to vote for....
  11. WELCOME to the PC's http://www.pcparty.ca
  12. hmmm, i don't know. I don't have time to write something in depth, but i'm somewhat with it..
  13. Do you see a future with PC and CA? I am a "PCer" (as you would say) and if you look at it at a "relaity" point of view, you would know that neither of these parties could stur up enough power to overthrow the Liberals. By merging, you extend that power, and give Canadians a party to vote for when they don't want to vote Liberal just for that reason. By combining the two, it could go in two different directions...in a very bad one..or a very good one. You see, once this merger has been brought in, the party may go down with a civil war between "The Conservative Party" because of the differences, and things may not work out as we think they will. On the other hand, it could be a new Era for politics. Many thing could change, for the better of the right wing. And do wonderfull things people have always wanted... ..but..who knows..
  14. So far, Peter and Harper have the best chance over all.
  15. thats deep but well said
  16. Why are we going over the Presidents mistakes? Havent we done enough of that during the time of him as President. We still curse him and his actions..i don't see what difference this makes. Yes, they did aid Seddam, that was the US of A's fault, not his. He was not in power at that time and by knowing this information gives him a better reason to believe Seddam has weapons of mass destruction.
  17. heh, yeah. Before you know it..it will be all over..hopefully.
  18. Well, if that is he, himself. Perter Mackay, then good job. Well done Good to see some response, though i question what you wrote to him! Hopefully the right will unite. God knows sooner then we think, for the better of the right wing and the people. As we have 6-8 months, which is very little time!
  19. i didn't say i would vote for him. I just said, that it is not totally impossible.
  20. Yes that is true, not speaking the French Language does hurt you, though it is still possible to succeed..who knows..
  21. Stockwell Day [ 1 ] [12.50%] heh, no comment. Well before too many people vote for their Leader. I would have to say that Harper would probably get the majority. There are several people qualified for this, though who knows who will get it. Hopefully, the Right will unite soon and we will be able to see the true power of the right.
  22. and Kim Cambell is not an option..ohhh... haha
  23. i find it somewhat funny how the Liberals had said that they will defend the definition and then go back on their word. Though i know Times Change..still.

  25. I would have to disagree with this assertion. Because of the very small amount of time involved in putting in place a credible political entity to challenge an already established juggernaut, there is plenty that can go wrong. Its one reason why I think we would just be better off endorsing Harper as leader, changing the name of the Alliance to the Conservative party, and have everyone rally around this new conservative party. I know it wouldn't make a lot of PCs happy, but if Mulroney and the boys would endorse such a party it would save us all a lot of hassle. Disgruntled PCers wouldn't have much power left anyway. As absurd as this idea is, logistically it could work out much better. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe thats whats happening anyway with these talks. What do you mean? Gugsy, how in the world can you actually believe something like this? I don't want to go into all the details, but how can you watch either the CBC or CTV and not see how liberal they are in their coverage? They are CLASSICALY liberal in the way they deliver news coverage. I bet you there is not a principled conservative amongst the whole bunch of them. I am flabbergasted at your observation. Speechless. Dumbfounded. I still can't believe it... hmmm, i don't know....I don't know if Harper should Leader "The Conservative Party". He lost many or the Maritimes votes, etc. Because of his stupidity. Coming down to PEI and Nova Scotia saying to their faces that "You are always on welfare, you should work harder, you don't work hard enough." Which i think is not a good thing to say. Stephen Harper has made many mistakes, and making him leader of TCP (The conservative party) COULD be yet another mistake. I'm not saying Mackay should be Leading the party, but i'm just saying i don't know about Harper.
