Very nice, if indeed the Polls stay like that, it would be nice. If Conservatives would pull up even more of a percentage, it would be nicer. Right now, it is a little close.

The right side of political spectrum. (Right Winged) Which are: The PC's and the CA's. They want to merge the right to be able to beat the Liberals who are currently under power. We have had Liberals for too long, and Canada thinks it is time we get a very strong right and kick out the liberals to have once again, reigning rights.

Word is coming in from the Progressive Conservative Youth Federation and the Globe and Mail that the Management Committee of the Progressive Conservative Party, the governing body of that Party, will soon debate a resolution on whether or not to cut off sales of new PC memberships. -

but its hard getting my dad to put in his Visa code so i may get a membership, he doesn't know if its worth it or anything. -
i myself believe that the people are tired of having Mackay and Harper. Because of all the nonsense baying about each other and whining, i think they want a new face. An experienced face, much like Mike Harris for example.

haha, well we don't have one, he is right. Everything is Left and middle.... -
Well i think the vote in December is useless to merge the right. I think taht it is it and they should do it. But since they still have to vote on it .... who knows.

yeh, where Are you from -
We're all with you, but there are questions. heh, such as dnsfurlan's.

The problem with this is that I think he has no shot at being leader of the new party, even if the terms are that favourable to the PCs. I think its one of the reasons why I don't think he is sincere about merger. For Mackay, this may be about power, but its about the power of being leader of the only party that wants him there - the PC Party of Canada. If I am right, and he doesn't want merger, then the only thing that will get him there is pressure from behind the scenes. I think its this pressure that got him to start these merger talks in the first place. And I think its the only thing that will get him to sign on the dotted line in the last place. If Mackay does want power, then he is far from it. We all know it, he has spent too much time whineing about the discussion and it does not look like he wants it at all. Hes a sharp kid, just made one too many mistakes on this journey for merger. I don't think much can save him taht would let me become Leader. I don't think even harper would get it. I believe it is time for a new face.

yeah, rather have a liberal Minority and better, Mojority Conservative.
-
yeah, i don't think they would really drop But what you say in statistics is relatively realistic, though you never know.
-
well, thats why the Liberals must work hard. Who knows, you might get a minority government with Liberals and next election, get the Conservatives to take over. The possibilities are endless into what might happen.
-
heh, well the story kind of changed there, somewhat.
-
no.... ..no comment for the time being..

we all knew it is the problem with the leader and who/how we will do this. Also, for those Harper people out there, i'm not saying i'm against it. But i have talked to many professors and public people and they have said that they would want either leaders as head of the new right wing. They think it is time for a new face, a strong man to obtain the votes Mulrooney once had. They say, only with a new face, may they listen and actually vote for them as they don't want to at the moment sense they're both acting like baby's.
-
i must question you. What makes you think the right would easily get 100 seats or more? I think your wrong. I think that both parties are acting like children and are making the right wing look bad while Paul Martin and Jean Cretien are on their @$$ laughing. People who ARE right, but not even want to vote for the Right parties because of such stupidity. I'm not saying this because of what i think. I'm saying this because of what i know, i know many professors who have said what i am saying to you, and other people.

and the plane crashes... well, who knows whats going to happen. It sounded great at the beginning of Augest, having them merge. And now...well its not doing too well.
-
haha, i would have to agree, that would really screw up the Right's hope. haha, maybe then the Right Leaders would push upon another 'cool thing', and before you know it; it will be a war. haha

the real battle is between Harris and Harper. Thats all, we'll see hopefully soon who the future of our country shall rest upon.

hmmm, i'm a little confused on this thread thing

All Fantasies Aside...for A Change...
Mr. Chater replied to sir_springer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would have to say either Harper or Harris. Thats my conclusion. I think it would be nice to have a new face, but if Harper gets it, he has to step it up a notch, so we may all hear his voice.
