  1. So – if the Dems really want to get serious about putting forward a genuine representative of their party  in 2020, they should certainly choose Rashida Tlaib. Not to do so will be, Islamophobic and sexist.

So here's my dream scenario. They do just that, put forward the most leftist, identity politics candidates and policies, and then someone with deep pockets, like Bloomberg, steps in and starts up a third, centrist party, wins big, and the other two fall apart in confusion and internal warfare.

Hah...    I was wondering how she got elected, well, no one else ran from either party.

  2. The Nation is a respected liberal mag. whose article goes on to discuss the use of anti-Russian patriotism in manipulative campaigning along with discussing how similar charges are suspected of being used against Corbyn in the U.K. If you buy into the "Russian collusion" story, you should read the whole article. Interesting though, is that those making the accusations are more guilty of the very charges they make than those they are targeting. https://www.thenation.com/article/russiagate-elections-interference/ The reports, from the University of Oxford’s Computational Propaganda Research Project and the firm New Knowledge, do provide the most thorough look at Russian social-media activity to date. With an abundance of data, charts, graphs, and tables, coupled with extensive qualitative analysis, the authors scrutinize the output of the Internet Research Agency (IRA) the Russian clickbait firm indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller in February 2018. On every significant metric, it is difficult to square the data with the dramatic conclusions that have been drawn. • 2016 Election Content: The most glaring data point is how minimally Russian social-media activity pertained to the 2016 campaign. The New Knowledge report acknowledges that evaluating IRA content “purely based on whether it definitively swung the election is too narrow a focus,” as the “explicitly political content was a small percentage.” To be exact, just “11% of the total content” attributed to the IRA and 33 percent of user engagement with it “was related to the election.” The IRA’s posts “were minimally about the candidates,” with “roughly 6% of tweets, 18% of Instagram posts, and 7% of Facebook posts” having “mentioned Trump or Clinton by name.”
  3. Interesting, but I don't see how you can impose a term limit on elected officials, that is up to the people. I know the President has only two terms but that seems reasonable to be considering his power. In the same vein, the Dems. are putting forward an amendment to eliminate the Electoral College, not surprising after the last election. Then there's the New Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib getting classy - Going to Impeach the Motherf*cker!’
  4. Islamic Party of Ontario states:
Allah has created two genders: men and women. Any physical defect in any organ doesn’t change one’s gender and sexual orientation.   The concept of “gender identity” is a false concept.
How will liberals deal with this, and if they don't vote for the Islamic party will they be 'islamophobes'

Should be really interesting but we know that won't happen, not the next election anyway.   I'm interested in how liberals respond to this because there statements are the opposite of what Trudeau is pushing,  but by disagreeing with them (Islamic Party) we must be 'Islamophobic'.

  5. Is this a new politically correct term or are we talking about or someone who recently returned from holiday.   A 14 year-old girl  was raped outside a shopping centre in Burnley, UK. -  but the perp is still on the loose.

Sky News describes him as a man with a beard and a "tanned complexion".

  6. Agree, although I was actually being facetious because transgenders are allowed to dope up with testosterone if they are changing - it's hormone therapy.
  7. Not sure if they are just flakes, I don't doubt that there are many out there who think their policies etc. are a good idea, I've seen similar comments in the U.K. Fortunately we don't have proportional rep. as if we did no doubt we would see the emergence of a lot more radical groups.
  8. Previous to that he was building bombs with which to better kill the infidel
  9. Would it not be smart for USA/Canada/EU to ban all imports from China which has no environmental laws,k do more for climate change than anything we can do? The fact that no politician raises that issue as a solution is hypocritical and makes a mockery of anything we do to supposedly to ombat climate change.
  10. This week .....German town in shock after refugees hospitalised 9 people during ‘orgy of violence’ by by middle east refugees htps://www.focus.de/panorama/welt/gewalt-exzess-in-amberg-verkaeuferin-wird-zur-heldin_id_10129339.html and in Cleveland http://www.cleveland19.com/2018/12/31/cleveland-clinic-doctor-fired-after-making-anti-semitic-statements-online/ Muslim doctor in Ohio tweets that she will prescribe the wrong medications to Jews. "I’ll give all the Jews wrong meds. Fortunately she got fired
  11. He/she is taking testosterone which is responsible for muscular development (among other things) and entered with a 32-0 record, no suprise he won a couple by default because the girls refused to compete... I thought doping was against the rules.
  12. "World Hijab Day" urges all women to wear veils in solidarity with Islam.   So....   When is the next "World Stoning Day"?

  13. He has a point… CNN ran a segment on how Trump's use of "witch hunt" offends witches… so.. I can’t wait until Trump says something negative about Adolph Hitler only to see CNN do a 30 minute episode of “How Hitler was a great man”. CNN TDS is off the wall
  14. The happy couple have been happily soaking up some sun in Sicily. So, I guess climate change and lowering carbon footprints is really only for low income pensioners in Sudbury who need to pay more to heat their homes, but political elites like Elizabeth May can still jet set, right? https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/green-party-leader-elizabeth-may-is-getting-married-1.4193493
  15. Humans are responsible for pollution and other problems which we are gradually eliminating, but generally they are not responsible for earth's changing climate, nor can they do anything to stop it. We can clean up pollution as we are but earth has cycled and come in and out of ice ages before humans had any impact at all. Instead of hysterics and policies damaging to our economy and standard of living, we should be building and preparing the future.
  16. A bit long winded but... Many people do not see the profound differences in Islam and most other religions. Maybe they haven’t read about Islam’s history of conquests and non integration, nor must they be aware of the widespread issues, major problems and huge differences in culture and beliefs with Islamic countries and Islamic migrants. Problems such as these migrants assaulting women and children in Germany and U.K. in particular. This is one example as reported by AP https://www.foxnews.com/world/afghan-teenager-detained-in-rape-slaying-of-german-student and we all know about the mass assaults at festivals. Sure, not all of them want to be dominant or are radical or want to rape women, but as their numbers grow we see what happens. As Salim Mansur, a Muslim, points out, the long-term subversion of the West is the mandate of the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization not only of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in the United States, but also CAIR’s Canadian subsidiary, CAIR-CAN (which now prefers to call itself the National Council of Canadian Muslims). The Muslim Brotherhood “sees immigration as a process of settlement in its strategy of subverting Western civilization from within,” And…. Multiculturalism, meanwhile, threatens to allow this attitude to rear its ugly head in the political sphere, according to Mansur. "In having swallowed the toxin of official multiculturalism, Canada has disarmed itself of the ability to discriminate between immigrant groups which are importing cultural baggage that is harmless, and those that are toxic to the values of liberal democracy," Mansur concludes.. So, a Muslim political science prof. has told us Muslim migration is a threat to the west, yet a non-muslim journalist says it's all good. Today’s politically correctness doesn’t allow us to differentiate or even suggest that there could be a problem with allowing in huge numbers of Islamists but as Mansur says; the things heard in Canadian mosques are “intractably opposed to liberal democracy,” and aim to “ruin from within” Canadian and Western values. Other Muslims including Tarek Fatah (who is under a death threat) and another Australian Imam tell it like it is, but because he is a moderate he is a ‘fake’ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4371064/Muslim-leader-Imam-Shaikh-Mohammad-Tawhidi-called-fake.html
  17. For years, Canadian media darlings like such as Naomi Klein  (among others) praised Venezuela's socialism.   Now Venezuelans are forced to eat their pets to survive while babies are dying because there's no formula.

  18. While most people are cheering for Justice Ruth Ginsburg's recovery, the far left Mother Jones is mad at her for not stepping down during Obama Pres.  https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/26/mother-jones-mad-rbg-retire-obama/

  19. I agree. People read and learn for themselves what is happening in Europe, while people don't want to tar all Muslims with the same brush the sheer numbers and high birth rates bring the conclusion that eventually if the numbers increase greatly, the same problems will arise here. Women have much more to be afraid of then men, just read about Sweden, Germany and U.K. it's horrifying. As the British home secretary has said, ignore ethnicity at your peril. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-46684638
  20. It's possible that there is something more insidious at work by those who buy into the deception that Islam is a religion of peace. (yes I know not ALL Muslims are radical). In many cases it's the insidious anti Israel or anti semitism that is behind it. They really are Islam's 'useful idiots'
  21. They haven't, and obviously the issue is not about just 'blocking traffic' as explained elsewhere. I wouldn't like it if any group did it en masse every Friday, or whenever they felt like praying. Whataboutism is a red herring designed to deflect from reality, and maybe why liberals generally don't like to hear or even refuse to hear any criticism of Islam but rather see Islamists as victims. Maybe because they feel superior if they defend Islam, but if they really do believe in western values such as women's equality, social justice, freedom and liberty, apologizing for Islamic beliefs and actions is a total contradiction to those values you supposedly hold dear.
  22. Making light of a serious situation in India and France as examples, is disingenuous at best and ignoring reality which is simply a diversion, as is calling posts ‘trolling’ because one doesn’t like them . In fact, boiling it down to simply a traffic problem is simply trolling. India takes it seriously because it’s giving the finger to Hindus which could cause riots and serious civil unrest. Paris already has a law banning street prayers passed in 2011 but even though there have been protests by the public and politicians against mass public prayers authorities give them a pass (so far) – why – because they too are afraid of civil disobedience and riots. Islam is not adapting to the host countries where as it grows they show their disdain for others by showing weekly displays of Islamic power and intimidation. It is also happening in the U.K. more frequently where the increasingly large numbers praying in the streets care causing health and safety issues, major disruptions and nuisance to everyone living or visiting in the area. But go ahead, brush it off as simply a traffic problem. France also bans public funding of places of religious worship separating church and state but the increasing problem with public prayers is testing the secular State.
  23. You are not interested in anything that doesn't fit your own narrative, just because your have an inflated high esteem of yourself and think that you are God's gift to forums doesn't mean other opinions don't count. And.... neither does my conce about what is happening translate into I hate muslims....
  24. I don't believe I have misrepresented anything you have said... and no one is trolling, that's just calling names in order to derail a disicussion.
